Ok this is something I thought about the other day

Is there anyone that has been in the WWE, that even comes close to measuring up to The Rock's humor. I mean he cut so many promos where I just laugh my ass off. The only person I can think of is Y2J. Is there anyone else?

Not really..only person amusing that i see rightnow is King Booker..everything he says is a stitch...i always thought he was funnier than the rock anyway

I think Y2J was probably the closest, but Angle also had some funny promo skills himself, I think Kennedy is on his way to being the next "great promo guy", some of his stuff is pretty funny

I think Carlito isn't that bad, he might be able to fill that role.

the original DX was great at doing promos. They were classic.

Try adding to your posts more Sam and amboy.

I agree though that some younger wrestlers today like Carlito, Mr. Kennedy, and maybe even Randy Orton (even though he is heel) could match up to the Rock. They all have great mic skills, are decent wrestlers, and have a great charisma in the ring.

I'm obviously biased, but the funniest wrestler ever in my opinion was Kurt Angle. It just looked incredibly awkward watching him do the things that he's done and it made it all the more funnier. Who can forget about him battling Cena lyrically, giving Joe C a lollipop, and playing a guitar. He's a fascinating promo guy

I'll agree with you there. Kurt Angle was fantastic on the mic. It's very rare to see someone who can wrestle like Kurt Angle but still be great on the mic.

Im sorry but isnt that a bit hypocritical..so your posts need to be a certain length to be considered valid, your post tellin them they're posts were to short was not that much longer than theres, i think your taking your job a little to serious, i mean i understand you dont want spammers but both there posts werent freeposts, they expressed a full idea and opinion..you need to lay off and relax and take it all in stride...

well best on the mic i'd say is hhh. as far as funny promos the rock is first. i have to say hhh can be really funny in his dx gimmick like the whole cocky thing at the homecoming was amazing.

if i can only pick one then i'd have to go with kurt angle he is funny as h*ll on the mic at times a close second being john cena say what you will about his wrestling talent he is flat out entertaining on the mic i could list more like mick foley,carlito(needs a little more time),christain,edge(a lot of us forget how funny he was when he taged with christain),"stone cold" steve austin(one of the the best ever on the mic),eddie guerruro(had some of the funnest promo's ever),hhh,hbk,and there's a couple more i could name i think they're all funy as h*ll.

^ sorry bout that.. I found the APA to be very entertaining and funny as hell especially when they played cards,while smokin cigar and drinkin beer and stuff.. Even while beating up other wrestlers I found it to be funny by their expressions..

Cena is hilarious, (yes, I like Cena), but how on God's Earth can you guys not mention Austin? That whole "WHAT!" gimmick was great, and remember the stuff he and the Rock did together? Austin was terrific! And, the funniest thing I've ever seen was when the NWO made fun of the Horsemen. It's a shame that it hurt Arn Anderson's feelings, but I did hear it was actually a friend of his that set it up. They were great.

I think that they are trying to mold Carlito to be "The Next Rock" I mean they are both funny on the mic, they both got over with the fans without the creative team trying to make them that way. Carlito just has an aura about him that makes him liked by the fans. And I think that if he is given the spotlight that he could really run with it. Give him some mainevents on raw to prove it thats all

As much as I like DX (now and before) and Austin, The Rock is the best talker by far. His success was more best on his words rather than his wrestling ability. No other wrestler got over as much as The Rock did just based on talking along like The Rock.

ya that's y he is such a succesful actor, ppl just love this guy. His wrestling ability never was as good as his mic skillz, but then again if they were then he would be the best wrestler ever, hands down.

Y2J had some gold promos. Remember the "Kirk Angel" days and calling Benoit "Mr. Roboto"? I think Y2J and The Rock teaming up to cut a promo on Shane, Steph and Rhyno was one of the funniest things in the WWE.
Edge & Christian were great together and Christian had some great promos during the early "Captain Charisma" days.
I remeber just after the last draft when HHH, HBK, Flair and Angle were all in the ring, thats some great promo skills. The "WHOOO" off was gold.
