The Return of the Animal

.... but I should think TNA would throw money at him like they always do to ex-WWE stars.

TNA shouldn't try to outbid WWE for anyone, much less Batista. If Dave is coming back, I would think it would be to the bigger company. It's been said that he likes a Flair-like lifestyle and that costs money.

I admit to being a little disappointed if he never gets to try martial arts fighting. Frankly, I was looking forward to him getting the living shit beat out of him.....sending him crawling back to pre-scripted fighting where his opponents are paid to make him look good. A lot of wrestlers think they're legitimate tough guys, but many of them would be surprised if they had to fight for real. I think Batista qualifies on that score.

After all, Lesnar and Lashley are bona fide "real" fighters; yet they took beatings, didn't they? I don't consider Batista a real fighter and can only imagine what would have happened to him.

So, sure Dave.....c'mon back to the 'E. Looking forward to seeing you.:glare:

I'd love to see Big Dave back in the WWE. only if he picks up where he left off though. Smackdown! needs faces, but late 2009-2010 was some of Batista's best work. Worst case scenario is that he's World Heavyweight Champion as a face. I hear nothing about movies, so I can see Dave coming back. What if he was the anonymous GM???

BTW, am I the only one who was glad that Batista didn't go into real fighting? Alot of wrestlers think they're legit, and would get killed in MMA. Remember when Batista broke out? He had no stamina whatsoever. Taker could last, if this was 10 years ago, and I still think he'd provide a fight today. Anyone who can legitimately beat Goldberg must be tough, so Jericho counts;).

Smackdown has always been my favourite show and it'd be awesome to see the Animal back on friday nights. Batista wont take long to get back the pops he got back when he was dominating Smackdown, only issue is that he's only getting older and will probably be capable of 1 or 2 good years at best. He was injury prone as it was so he wouldn't be doing a lot of good matches on Smackdown I'd imagine. His move set always makes for some entertaining bouts so he'd be able to perform a decent match on PPV's. Just hope he's improved his mic work, but then again basketballs don't hold grudges...lmao.

BATISTA - back - it wouldn't do any harm and if it was me considering the draft I'd chuck him into Raw - thers no need for him to go to smackdown

I don't really know what Batista's going to do next. There really isn't a lot of backstage news on him, or anything he's discussed with dirtsheet sources, so there's not much else to do than to wait and see.

But sure, it'd be awesome to have him back. He's been gone long enough for me to miss him, and the WWE could use some veteran talent.

I think Batista needs to come back as he's known for living a very lavish lifestyle, one that a WWE salary would be able to sustain and his other deals have failed. He wouldn't hurt the WWE too much. He's a big name for them that would really help SmackDown in it's current state. If he were to return right now I'd be stoked!

The main problems I see with bringing back Batista is his age. I mean they can't justify putting a major role on a man in his 40's. The only thing I could see them doing is using him on a short-term basis to fill a problem of not having enough people who can draw on Smackdown.

I would love to see batista back again ,

WM 26 Batista vs John cena was a dream match for me IMO, Those to got a heavy push in 2005 both rising to the top, Batista overcoming the game, and john cena..well..beating JBL.

These two were bound to have a match, I still think he shouldve beaten John cena,

I would like to see batista back on RAW, and destroy Cena. In a clean match.

Or even WM28 , Batista vs Mason Ryan with mason ryan winning as a ''passing of the torch'' of the next animal of wwe.

It would be good to see Batista back... I would love to see him back as a face coming back re-uniting with HHH to take on Nexus, after that would like to see Trips turn on him ( maybe HHH gets jealous of the fans adoring Batista) so these 2 can get it on one last time (this was his greatest rivalry), this is a perfect way to set up HHH vs Undertaker II at WM28 where Batista could take on Mason Ryan in an Animal v Animal feud.

If Batista comes back to WWE, I'll be all for it. I dunno if I'd want him back as a face though. He was really entertaining as a heel though during his last few months in the WWE. I think he'd be a good addition to the Smackdown roster. As a heel, he's great on the mic and I can see a feud with Orton in the works. At this stage of his career though, I dunno if I'd want to see him with the world title unless he holds it so he can drop it to an up and comer and puts over the young talent. He's got the star power and credibility that WWE really could use at this point. I only wonder if he would be able to keep himself from getting injured.

I doubt Batista will return, he will find some promotion to fight in and make it happen. On top of that he doesnt have the best relationship with the WWE so that wont make it any more likely. Then again crazier things have happened and nothing is impossible in the E'.

I dont believe Dave returning would help the company in any way, he's already been replaced by a younger version of himself in Mason Ryan. I don't believe there is any place for him in the world title scene and if they did push him back into it he would possibly be taking the spot of a younger superstar who hasnt had that oppertunity yet.

I personally have not been a big Batista fan in the past years, back in his Evolution days I thought he was great. I believe when he left it was the perfect time as he was getting dry to me. I am hoping that he will continue to pursue MMA despite the buy out of Strikeforce, there are other up and coming promotions that he could make his MMA debut. SF would have been perfect but just because that didnt work does not mean he should go running back to the WWE.

Just because Dave and Mason Ryan look alike does not mean Welshtista is Dave's replacement.

Mason Ryan may be witty and charming on the mic, but 99% of the WWE audience would never know because you can't understand a word he is saying. And mic skills make a superstar. If you can't talk, you got problems.

Besides, I don't think any of the WWE's attempts at "The new" XXX have worked out. There's a reason Kane is not New Diesel anymore.

This could work but at the same time they need to be careful. Batista is over 40 and his best days are gone. He's someone valuable but they have to book him properly. The main event scene is a bit weak at this point but with the right working they could get the new guys in there to be able to get over. Batista could be used as a backup, but I really don't want to see him come in and take over a spot immediately. No need for that at all.

I think a Batista return on Smackdown woulde be great rigt now as I think as a heel he could be the perfect foil for Orton right now as I don't believe there are any heels on Smackdown with the credibility to effectively challenge him.
