The return of Edge

I don't know if this post goes in this discussion or not, seeing as I am new to the forums, but I was juts curious, when Jeff ran in and started attacking, shouldn't the match have ended by DQ due to outside interference, I mean he did attack two of the competitors, so shouldn't Triple H still be the champ?

And Edge is a great heel. In fact, as many have said him and Jericho are the top two heels right now in the WWE. Over on Smackdown, Edge was so good at portraying his character. He has the great acting skills to pull off the psychotic , devilish heel, but at the same time, he has a great move set that he can wrestle great matches too. Edge can cut some really good promos and wrestle some excellent matches. And, I agree with The Undercover Man, they cheered because that match was extremely boring. Not to mention, many people were anxiously awaiting Edge's return. Edge also does a great job at picking apart his opponents, not only physically , but mentally, look at his feud with Cena, where he brought Cena's dad into it, that, was a sly move, but a good move. Edge will remain to be heel for a long time, and I'm really happy he's returned as now this opens up many new options for Smackdown to pursue. ( hopefully he goes after Vicky for " sending him for hell " ) , for example, in the coming weeks, he could distance himself from her, and then when she questions why, he comes out and says " Vicky, you sent me straight to hell, and for that I can never forgive you!" and he runs down to attack her, but then, who comes down to her rescue, Vicky's most recent lackey, The Big Show, to defend her and fight off Edge. ( big show vs edge will be a horrible feud IMO due to the fact that as Big Show gets older, he seems to get slower and not be as good as he was back in the day )

If Edge ever decided to go into movies and portray a bad guy, I think he would succeed definately. Adam Copeland has done a great job of taking the Edge character to new levels and pair him with an award winning director and Edge would not need the wrestling business anymore. But to be clear, Edge's return was very well done and I look forward to seeing how he does with the title for the next few months. Edge has proven himself as a worthy wrestlemania champion and I can see him taking the belt there again.

What!? Do i really need to answer this???

Ok i will, Edge is such a great heel because he uses excellent heel psychology, acting skills and wrestling skills. He puts on excellent promos in which he acts psycho and gets the crowd believing that he is really nuts. Have you noticed how he carefully, picks certain parts of the body to "disable" his opponent? That is what you call a heel, someone who cheats to win, and someone who is hated by the fans but still good enough to keep them intrested in his character.

Oh cmon he isn't hated by the fans because they CHEER for him. Chris Jericho is a good heel. He has great heel psychology , acting skills and he gets BOOED. JBL is another great heel because he is a person who fans just hate. How can you honestly say Edge is a good heel when he gets cheered? His acting skills are great, no question about it, but he isnt making the fans hate him as heels are meant to do.

The only reason you say he is a terrible heel is because he got cheers in a match, that was thought to be boring by many peoples standards until he reappeared. I personally thought the WWE title match was good. Your right, Edge's return did prompt huge cheers but only because fans were getting bored with what was hapening in the match, hence the TNA chants.

No. The reason I say he is a terrible heel is because he is always getting cheered. I mean c'mon, if JBL was to go away for ages and make a return during a boring match, its unlikely that thousands would cheer for him now is it?

I have to say... I was considerably underwhelmed by the return of the sneaky one. His return being heralded by Vicki Guerrero, a woman he was at odds with before his time off made no sense to the storyline going before he left and it seemed as if creative had decided that all parties involved had forgotten their differences.

That and I couldn't help but think his beard made him look like Mike Knox or one of the Highlanders had returned to Smackdown.

However, I'm glad he's back, because to me he's the only medium of finally shutting the 'Why isn't Hardy?' bitching, and giving us all a chance to see that Jeff, like Matt, just isn't quality champ material

Once the match became a triple threat, it took up triple threat rules which means no count out and no disqualification. So once Edge entered the ring it basically became a completely new match. And the best segment wwe have done in a fair while. I loved every second of it.
