the other guy?

i read the article about the Hulk Hogan interview on Bubba the Love Sponge.
One thing he said was that there was no one who could make that type of pop that he had at Summerslam 2006 except "one other guy". Now I'm asking who do you think is that 'other guy'?

Shawn Micheals, Triple H, or Kurt Angle, those are my picks for "the other guy"

C'mon, Triple H or Kurt Angle? No way, the only other person it could be is either Stone Cold or The Rock, the two most popular wrestlers probably in the history of wrestling.

Hogan's been talkin a lot of trash about Vince lately, it's startin to piss me off.

My guess would probably be Stone Cold or the Rock, as well.

yes most def i think he was talking about stone cold or the rock....perhaps stone cold because he did mention that stone cold had signed a lifetime contract...

yeah, maybe. But why did he have to refer to Austin as 'the other guy'? I mean, the only times you refer to someone as in 'the other guy' is when you've had a bad personal history with the person that you don't even want to mention his name. But seeing that isn't the case with Austin...

well perhaps it is austin...because these 2 arent very fond of each other...he referred to him as "the other guy" seein as austin is an extremely popular wrestler if not just as popular as the name hulk hogan is..both huge egos and austion no doubt a huge future legend because of the big impact he made in the wwe..he could b considered the hogan of his time...and therefore decided to mention him as "the other guy" but wen talkin about contracts gladly said austin singed a lifetime contract just to rub it in that hogan was not going to fall for the tactics of mcmahon but austin did? just a theory...

I think it's Austin. These two have heat since their Wrestlemania match was postponed for the first time before Wrestlemania 22. And even before that... Remember when Stone Cold inducted Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan passed by and was simply ignored whereas he was polite to the others present.

But if he thinks only Austin draws as good pops as he does, he is mistaken. You can obviously add the Rock, because nobody drew better than he did, especially with his promos, even though the fans turned on the Rock when it was Rock vs. Hogan. The Rock got better overall reactions during his time in the WWE.

Just like I said above, I too believe it should be Stone Cold or the Rock (and probably is Stone Cold though due to their history).

I wanted to add that IMO you couldn't be more right about Hogan's trash talking... It's getting really annoying, Hogan has such a huge ego that he can't just admit that the whole thing is his fault. I mean come on, go on live radio drunk and spill out a big part of Wrestlemania with the Hall of Fame inductees... WWE don't keep those secret only to sell better, it is the effect of surprise at each announcement that is good for the fans...

And also, Hogan says he deserves to be paid more than all the people working at Wrestlemania... Are you f****in kidding me ? The guy's 53 years old... He has no in-ring skills... His promos are rusty and are starting to suck big time... In fact, the WWE would only be paying for his name to appear on the card. Is it worth paying more than all the other deserving superstars and current full-time wrestlers... Vince is right on this one, and I'm glad he didn't make the bad call of giving in to Hogan's demands just to have him on Wrestlemania. Hopefully he only gets one more match next year, and he should train the hell out of himself to get in physical and mental shape, so it can be memorable. But let's face it it'll never happen... Hogan is lazy and a jackass, so don't count on it.

Stone Cold, the Rock, HHH, HBK, or the Undertaker... they've all gotten bigger pops than Hogan got a Summerslam. Everytime the lights go out and the undertaker hits the ring the crowd pops bigger, or when they hear the galss shatter, they pop everytime bigger than Hogans pop. Hogan is just washed up that just wants to steal everybody's glory. That why he beat HBK and Randy, its not because he is a great wrestler but because he a a Glory hog and thinks he should be getting paid way more than he should be. He should be getting paid what someone like Jeff Hardy gets paid. What makes him think that hes better than everyone else?

I agree with what you have just said ^. Hogan irritates me because apart from the rock he has/will not drop a match to anyone. Even thoughit does him no good to win these matches, as usualy he swans off to make some crappy TV programme. Hogan has never impressed me, he is prephaps th worst wrestler of all time, that has become so popular. Then again theres always John Cena hey ;) Those two have more in common than meets the eye actualy-
1) THey are popular with non-wrestling fans i.e. people who watch wrestling for the entertainment not the drama, and Kids under the age of maybe say 12, and their parents who go with them to live events.
2) Poor in ring skills
3) Barely ever lose a match

Anyway rant over... back to the topic. I believe it is Stone Cold because of his whole persona in Wrestling, he would be able to get away with it, you know the "i dont give a shit" attitude. Whereas the rock who is the best smack talker/entertainer in WWE history, would probly get heat for saying something like this because he left for hollywood.

It was obvious that Hogan was talking about Austin. These two have bad blood brewing between them, and Austin won't share a paycheck with Hogan because he thinks Hogan's an asshole. Personally I agree with Vince and Austin that Hogan is just an old money grubber that shouldn't even be trying to get in the ring. This guy just needs to hang the boots up and never be involved in wrestling again.
