The NXT Thread Is Like Ring of Honor's Bay-Bay!

So most everyone had Glorious 10 at least making it to the finals because TakeOver is in Toronto but instead they're out in Round 1.

Not something I saw coming personally

So Sanity is pretty freaking awesome, lads.

RIP Tye, how could you Bobby

I actually kind of enjoyed Sabbatelli and Ross - they are very hateable. They look retro and early 90s-ish as well.

I really thought all along, and still do, that their pairing was a way to set them up to face each other as opponents in Toronto.

Sanity was alright, their in ring work didn't do much for me though. Obviously Aries' "mystery" partner will make a much bigger impression, IMO.

To be fair they didn't get to show much. Wolfe is a pretty solid worker, and the Wolfe/Fulton pairing is likely not gonna be asked to put in too many high leverage performances anyway; the real pressure will be on Nikki and EY to make the most of their performances once they get that chance.

I am a fan though of this group in terms of look and packaging/presentation. This seems to be a good vehicle for EY and a good way to present Nikki Cross as something other than just a generic heel woman's wrestler, while also utilizing a good position for a couple developmental talents that have been around for a minute and that the company seems to be fans of.

That was a squash match designed to set up Dillinger vs Roode with the 2 greener guys in the ring.

Give it time my friend

I'm so glad Nakamura got some character development this week. It was needed.

And I really prefer Eric Young as part of a stable than on his own. As a less redneck-y version of Wyatt, he could be great.

Also, Liv Morgan could be a star if she improves in the ring.

Ibushi and Perkins should be a decent enough team. I just hope they don't use the taping schedule to keep Perkins off Raw and water down the cruiserweight division more than they already have.

They established a new woman, a new man and a new tag team in one fell swoop. It's an efficient stable if nothing else.

Meanwhile, Mickie James has been announced as Asuka's opponent at TakeOver Toronto. It's one way to admit that you promoted all your female talent so fast that you didn't have time to build anyone new. Still, it's an interesting prospect.

I feel like Sanity should only ever win matches by referee stoppage, like they completely reject traditional wrestling. No pin falls or submissions. Only violence.

They should get DQed frequently and have winning decisions reversed all the time.

Exactly.

Liv Morgan, Peyton Royce or Billie Kay won't be seem strong challengers for Asuka. But now it's an interesting match-up. I guess Asuka still retains.

Asuka retains, but loses in less than 3 months to Ember Moon. Hopefully by then Nia Jax has had time to win the RAW belt & is kicked in the head by Asuka on her debut.

Sanity was badass.

Still not sure why Roode/Dillinger split so soon. That team would have been fantastic trying to one up each other, then imploding.

Just imagine if the Jannetty's of every team were the ones who went on to glory. What an upside down world.

Someone with time should see just how everything would have played out if all the major matches went the exact opposite. Who would be the top guys if things were reversed?
