The NXT Thread Is Like Ring of Honor's Bay-Bay!

More importantly, they did the Nakamura pose with Bayley:

Shinsuke using the ref is hilarious. And now they're all going to Raw or Smackdown...

Moving Nakamura up this soon would be a little surprising, felt like they were building toward him vs. Joe at Brooklyn. I'd like to see them hold off on Bayley until just after SSlam.

I'm not sure Bayley is going up yet. Alpha might, Shinsuke definitely isn't. Balor is destined and I just hope that they don't mess with the current plans for The Club too much. The six man at Battleground has huge potential.

Nak will probably be King of NXT for a bit before feuding with Roode, Aries (maybe?), Almas and maybe some others before coming up, let's say either for Mania 33 or just after it.

Bayley will be up by summer's end to give the divided division a shot in the arm on whichever show needs it.

American Alpha will fill a similar role but with the tag division.

And Finn...I don't even know at this point. I just feel he's going to stay away from Styles, Anderson and Gallows in the immediacy and maybe be pit against AJ in time for a big time Mania match.

Is it not okay for me to still want Nakamura to do a bit more... er... wrestling?

Do you mean less of the signature stuff and more general wrestling or do you mean storytelling wise? I think he's certainly getting better at the latter, and at a much accelerated rate versus say Hideo Itami.

I really liked his promo and while I thought Rhyno's appearance was kind of unnecessary, it wouldn't have made any sense for Joe to come out, speak and then go. Rhyno will be this cycles' Eric Young and there's nothing wrong with that.

Nak vs Joe is going to be awesome.

Oh yeah, Eric Young. Where'd he go?

My loyal fans will be disappointed to know that I actually really liked the Nakamura/Balor match. Nakamura maybe undersold the legs but at least he sold them.

We’re heading towards Brooklyn and it’s going to be a few weeks before we can really feel the differences from the Draft. There are three matches scheduled for tonight with the headliner of American Alpha vs. the Authors of Pain in the Authors’ first match on the show. Let’s get to it.

Those Final Shows

Colour me unsurprised. I just bet Jordan throws one of those big fellas across the ring.

I've got to wait until the end of the day to watch this week's edition, so I'll start thinking up names for the Authors of Pain's fanbase. The Librarians of Pain? The Publishers of Pain? The Reading Club of Pain?
