As has been the case recently, this is going to be about fallout from last week and the main event in particular. Last week, Samoa Joe and Sami Zayn went to a double pin in a match for the #1 contendership, meaning we don’t have a challenger for Finn Balor. Odds are that won’t be established tonight either but odds are we’ll get a fun show out of it anyway. Let’s get to it.

Maybe Next Time

Christopher Gerrard, which I want to say was the name of the guy wrestling Apollo Crews this week, was mighty impressive. Probably my favourite Crews match.

Eva Marie - the less work she does, the more heat she gets. It's brilliant.

Hands up who else forgot it was Neville who was the longest reigning NXT champion and was briefly enthralled by the idea of a Finn Balor/Bo Dallas match.

If I cared about Neville, I'd be super excited for next week.

Ciampa, much like his buddy Gargano, continues to be about as charismatic as the ring he's standing in. Maybe it's the mohawk, I dunno.

And maybe it's the break-up goggles, but I suddenly miss Bull Dempsey after watching his match this week.

#neverforget

Also, I don't know why this hasn't been posted in here yet. Ladies and gentlemen, Finn Baylor. These two are just... The best.

If the Hype Bros shtick was the way it was on the edge and Christian show, they would get more over. Saying "fucking shit" out of nowere inappropriately because your too hyped to contain yourself.

I like the thought of such a thing

Not really, no. Consider that Leo Kruger (i.e. Adam Rose), Drew McIntyre and Bo Dallas were eliminated in the first round of the tournament. People more familiar with Richie Steamboat than me can tell you how good he was but he was in the mix too.

I originally said something along the lines of "Was Jinder Mahal really the best they had at the time!?"

Then I changed my post, because I realised someone might take that question seriously. *cough*

It’s a big night for NXT as we have a past great name coming in to face off with NXT Champion Finn Balor on the finale of the Orlando tapings with Neville coming back for one night only. In addition to that we’re getting closer to the big showdown in a 2/3 falls match next week with Sami Zayn vs. Samoa Joe for the #1 contendership. Let’s get to it.

An Old Friend

I'll be honest, I was borderline shocked to hear Phillips and Graves openly discuss the Bullet Club by name, openly link them to Balor, and tease their jump to NXT.

I really wasn't expecting that.

Right after the TNA guy came out and got a beat down courtesy of Corbin. I love it.

It seems WWE likes flaunting their purge of NJPW talent and could really give two shits about TNA, justifiably so.

Bull Fit seems to be paying off. Could have sworn Dempsey was let go, yet his doppelganger was in the opening tag.

Must suck to think you have the bearded sweaty chubby guy market cornered & looking across the locker room at a slightly less chubby bearded sweaty guy who will easily replace you.

Not quite, but one definitely bled into the next.

Maybe Brittney's way of showing appreciation for her latest crush.

Sami was on Raw and not one if you thought to activate the Sami signal? I'm beginning to think that thing was a huge waste of money.

She'll be gone soon too. The holy trinity of Sami, Bayley and Enzo, NXT's heart and soul. Hard times.

I just watched Sami's (fourth) main roster debut. That was terrific. So much NXT continuity as well, when you consider it was Neville who stood up to Owens when he first injured Sami.

If it's any consolation, Tyler Breeze is probably mere weeks away from his triumphant return as NXT's gatekeeper.
