The game never (in the 80 some-odd years of the All Star game) meant anything, and nobody needed it to mean anything

But now people are actually caring about it more then they had previously. Last years ASG outdrew ALL 5 GAMES OF THE NBA FINALS.

And you just get the players going through the motions or dicking off like in the NBA, NFL, and NHL. If you're gonna play an All Star Game, players should, y'know, try to play like ALL STARS.

I never said it was better. It was fairer, but not better. The best way to do it is just give the better record home field, making the regular season mean something.
