What would you call them putting it in Cowboys Stadium?
because it is logical for the All-Star game (forever an exhibition) to decide what team has home-field advantage in the World Series... Yeah, that's a good idea.I like how baseball gives relevance to their All-Star game. The NBA should look into to this

1. Jeet got a hit in the 1st, so I don't know why he was included. And some guy for the AL got a double (I forgett who).Damn. None of these hitters are hitting worth shit. Pujols, Jeter, Ichiro. I know Pujols had a good hit caught in his first AB, but still.
we shouldn't take All Star Games seriously. It's an ALL STAR GAME, it isn't meant to be taken seriously.People still won't care b/c it'll be nothing but a dunk-fest w/o defense until like the last two minutes. The MLB ASG is the only one where players don't change the way they play. The NBA players don't take it seriously, so why should we?

yes, that alone should make you want to watch it.It has the best from each League in a dream match-up
Which is stupid beyond belief.playing for something way more important than just bragging rights
The Pro Bowl has it right. The game is for FUN, not to be taken seriously.other wise you just have the circuses that the NBA and NFL put out on a yearly basis.

2. The pitching has been phenomenal.

EDIT: Amazing ass catch by Braun, if only we could get some play like this on our bats
Yeah I know. I mean it's not like we can just do it to have fun. That didn't work for the first like 70 years or anything right?Jeter actually walked. And he was included b/c he's one of the best contact hitters in the game and K'd.
I'll agree the pitching has been amazing. I guess it is the year of the pitcher, so it fits.
Then why even bother having the game? Just announce the all stars and move on? Either give it some importance or don't have one at all.
And, before this rule was in place, it wasn't like the last rule was any better. Alternating each year? Please. At least now the game means something, which I like.
My bad, I just remember he was on first.Jeter actually walked. And he was included b/c he's one of the best contact hitters in the game and K'd.

The game never (in the 80 some-odd years of the All Star game) meant anything, and nobody needed it to mean anythingThen why even bother having the game? Just announce the all stars and move on? Either give it some importance or don't have one at all.
I never said it was better. It was fairer, but not better. The best way to do it is just give the better record home field, making the regular season mean something. And, before this rule was in place, it wasn't like the last rule was any better.
