Man, here's my issue with Americans hating on Obama: Everyone is tagging on Obama for doing any work, but a), nobody sees all the work he does so it's a moot point, and b), the dude seems to be doing a lot more work than Bush ever did. It's not Obama that had cartoons made of him playing with sock puppets and eating tacos. Obama's also not the dude who sent the greatest armed forces in the world to Iraq to throw out a dictator who's highly sought after WMD's never showed up to the party, and he's certainly not the guy who subsequently drove America, but the world's economy's into the dirt.
Obama's America's janitor at the moment, and these problems were already waiting for him when he stepped into office. The public bought into this whole saviour thing, when all he is is a man with perhaps the toughest gig to work in: public office.
People may get angry for a Scottish man talking about American politics, but at least I can look at the situation from a clear perspective, without any prejudice. Also, the American public can't be trusted to make a decision and stick with it, just like they did with Michael Jackson. George Bush is critiziced for all his wrong decisions, but you lot did vote him in for a second term, so any faults and mishaps made are on you guys, at the end of the day.
Your point here is obvious and I basically agree with what your saying. The thing is, are we really going to judge the quality and work put in by the current administration by the fuck ups of the former one? Sounds like rather than talking up what Obama HAS done, your regurgitating the same ol' Bush tales from a cabinet of long ago. Well not long ago enough, but my point is clear.
He knew what he was stepping into, he knew the work that needed to be done. There really should be no talk of ''Well look what was here when he came into office" because no matter who was elected, that is what they were going to be welcomed with. I guarantee McCain would be would be facing the same hardships and would be asked the same questions that is being asked of Obama, if not more so because he didn't have the public backing that Barrack had. No easy job of course, and I'm not saying that the work he has put in isn't sufficient enough. Just saying that he isn't facing and trouble that ANYBODY that took over for Bush wouldn't be facing.
The American public can't be trusted? NO countries general population can be trusted to make a decision, we definitely aren't alone in that but I get what you're saying. Yeah, we elected Bush for a second term, but is anyone surprised? Our current president got elected from a large portion of new voters who know nothing of the man besides the fact that he looks good on a baggy hip hop t-shirt.
- Even though it was Tiffany who got the suspension dropped on her, don't think Drew's walking away from the incident clean. Judging from last week, and this week, it looks like "The Chosen One" is gonna have to do the job to a few of his mid-card associates before he's back in management's good books.
