Let's hear your argument. You feel like you do a lot of work?
Why is SSC's knowledge of modship only limited to what he does?
Are you ugly?

Let's hear your argument. You feel like you do a lot of work?
Yeah dude, I take that as an insult. Do you know how much effort Nick and I put into cleaning the WWE Section? I know that I delete upwards of 24 posts a day on good days and I know Nick is right there with me. Not to mention the thread merging, putting threads in the correct section, doling out warnings/infractions, and checking IPs for potential alts. You have no idea what goes on and I'd appreciate it if you didn't shortchange the workload we have.
Why is SSC's knowledge of modship only limited to what he does?
Let's be honest here, most new users come into the spam sections and make a fool of themselves and then longtime users begin to punish them for their mistake's. Something Coco/everyone else has done nothing but do, why should that be encouraged by making the man the king of the section?
Argument is that the wrestlezone forums are seemingly not in much need of moderation. Nate made his point, and after reviewing the WWE section I would agree that it's a section which would require moderation, and hence I revised what I said to exclude his section. Everything else I said I stand by.
I spent about 25 minutes sifting through IP addresses this evening to check for alts. I spend about 20-30 minutes a day reading posts in my own section. I became a mod two years ago with about 2000 posts made over 18 months, I've only had 600 more since, and I spend a lot more time here than I used to. The reason you don't see what we do is because we do it so fucking well that everything runs smoothly. When Shamar James made 10 million alts and posted porn everywhere, not a single post lasted more than 5 minutes, because we got them all.
Mods that don't pull their weight get fired. A mod hasn't been fired for nearly two years.
The implication here is that Dagger's homophobia is equivalent to NorCal's racism & bigotry, and I don't think it is. The sheer belligerency of NorCal's comments in the sexual racism thread would hesitate me to vote for him far more than Dagger's homophobia did.
However, if it was the best choice, I would vote for NorCal, sure.

How does someone that has been here for less than two months know the habits of new users?
I eagerly await your red rep again.
How about Dagger's confession that his religion and upbringing would make it to hard to not mentally repress and abuse his gay child? How about his sexism and degradation of women?
I think you need to take a look at where your values lie. What type of values do you look for in the people that you generally reward.
So you would vote for someone you consider a racist and/or bigot to a position that you believe suits little purpose as long as they were the best choice?
I think you're bright, well spoken and evolved but your righteousness clouds your ability to think past your ego. Might want to step back and revisit your values before you continue to pass judgement on others.
Let's put it this way. What moderating even needs to be done on Wrestlezone forums?
Translation:
"Crap! Now I either need to deny Dagger the mod position after all of this election nonsense or even worse - work with him. F this job."
Even if it wasn't a prank to start, they should claim it was a prank now as an easy cop out.
He won't be. He'll behave. I would think you know me better than that.No he won't kill WrestleZone, he has a high likelihood of being a pain in the arse and causing drama for the rest of us,
1) There's no need for a WWE mod either.
2) Coco doesn't really care? I'm glad Sly pointed that out, or I would have never figured!
3) Coco's a troll. So is Sly. So are many of the best posters here. I don't see the problem.
I didn't know it existed until the election. If I did, I would have ripped Dagger all sorts of new assholes when he first made that post. I can't speak for anyone else.
Let's put it this way.
I need 100 bushels of hay moved from the barn to the pasture. 3 guys can do it in 33 trips. 4 guys can do it in 25.
By having an extra person, I saved 8 trips for three different people. Or, to relate it back to the forums, having another person to moderate takes some of the load off the others who are already doing the work.
Has the work been getting done? Yes. Could it be easier for those who are doing it? Yes. That's where another moderator helps.
Absolutely, and as long as you can afford to bring on more hands to help out, there's no reason not to.Isn't this common point for ALL jobs. I'm not arguing, Im agreeing.
Im doing a small online comedy show right now with a friend. What started as 2 of us working on this idea, 3 became 4 people by time we shot the pilot. Now we have 5 people working on it.
The work got done with 3 or 4 people, hell we could shoot it with just 3 of us. But more people working on it means less work for everyone else and makes the process work so much smoother.
I'm concerned that this addition of another fat cat mod will raise our taxes.

No, so what do you care?Is another mod going to raise the price of beer?
