This is a point of view I can get behind. What moderating even needs to be done on Wrestlezone forums? The most active sections are the spam sections, and there are rarely times in my own experience in the non-spam, non-wrestling subforum where I thought a moderator needed to change something. This forum, as far as I can tell, seemingly runs itself without much need for a lot of moderators. In fact, from what I have seen, the moderators function more as important characters in the community rather than having a structural function.
My point:
- Anyone receiving a moderator position at this point ultimately means nothing.
- There's no reason to believe that any change would have resulted from this election.
- This election has served as a time-sink and distraction from the general happenings around the forum.
Ultimately, I'm happy Dagger won because it's put a thorn in the side of so many vocal community personas and that's somewhat entertaining. I don't understand the talk about this election as if it had any actual purpose other than whatever ensued from it.
With that being said, are people still complaining that Dagger did exactly what I said in the very beginning he was allowed to do?

Did you ever think that they don't appear to need to be moderated because they are already so well moderated?
Did you ever give your two cents regarding Dagger's opinions on having a homosexual child?
I'd love to here somebody make an argument as to why the new to the forum users who actually just want to post wrestling instead of messing around in the spam section should vote for Coco.
Thats okay, I am still yet to hear an argument as to why Dagger would make a good mod.
New posters are just as welcome to post spam as non spam, but if they'd rather rather contribute to the humdrum of their preffered but already well looked after sections then what can you do.
Let's be honest here, most new users come into the spam sections and make a fool of themselves and then longtime users begin to punish them for their mistake's. Something Coco/everyone else has done nothing but do, why should that be encouraged by making the man the king of the section?

Two possibilities:
- 1. They don't appear to be in need of moderation because they are so well moderated.
- 2. They don't appear to be in need of moderation because the forum simply doesn't need moderation very often.
You may feel option #1 is more likely, but I don't agree. I would think if that were the case that I would sometimes see threads or posts that are in need of moderation, and I rarely ever do - I really don't think there's enough posting visitors to this site to warrant much moderation.
However, even if option #1 were the case, my original point would still be valid. If the forums are so well moderated that it appears to be running itself, then why is there a need to bring in more moderators? Because the other moderators are working themselves to the bone keeping everything immaculate that they need someone to take some work off their hands? I can't see the argument that a forum which has the vast majority of its posts inside two sections (GSD - spam section; Bar Room - spam section with no need for almost any kind of moderation) has much work for moderators.
Can't remember. I think I may have just read the thread about it and decided not to post because it was already ten pages long and didn't need further comment. Obviously I think what Dagger said was stupid and homophobic.

This guy really has no idea.
And yet you voted for him and are celebrating his victory. When we have another election and NorCal throws his hat in the ring to mod again I am happy to hear he has your support.
Let's hear your argument. You feel like you do a lot of work?
The implication here is that Dagger's homophobia is equivalent to NorCal's racism & bigotry, and I don't think it is. The sheer belligerency of NorCal's comments in the sexual racism thread would hesitate me to vote for him far more than Dagger's homophobia did. However, if it was the best choice, I would vote for NorCal, sure.
