The Final Poll

Who Should Be The Next Mod?

  • The Crock

  • Dagger Dias

  • Coco The Monkey

Results are only viewable after voting.
How come so many people are talking like this thing is over? Still nearly 2 full days to go and the vote differential is only 7. Lots of time for things to change.

When I went to bed this election looked to be firmly in the hands of Coco, now I wake up to a 9 vote differential in favor of Dagger.

Same here, now it's 10, I even got a PM from Dagger to vote him much to my surprise. I'm actually shocked at how many votes there are now don't even get this much interaction unless it's the WZ tourney.

Normally, I don't engage in "I told you so" posts. I normally don't enjoy being right this much, because I'm pretty used to it. I'm making an exception today. This is sweeter than honey to me.
This process will get nasty the later it gets- especially with the "rep points for votes" idea. While there's no real practical way of preventing that process, by enshrining it in the election procedures, Slyfox has established that there will be a market for votes that the board administration will not interfere with. Caveat Emptor, gentlemen. This will be a popularity contest, make no mistake about it. I don't think this board is ready to find out who's more popular then who else in real-time fashion.
Gelgarin, just for the record, a portion of my laughter is reserved for you, trying your hardest to be Mr. Big Swinging Forum Dick. Just because someone's using big words, doesn't mean they're trying to confuse you. ;)

I really hope people see why I find this so funny. I'm content to laugh and have people pissed at me for it, but I would like you to at least understand the why of my laughter.

Just by the sheer number of people that have voted so far and factoring in the lead Dagger has gained, I'm fairly sure it's safe to assume Dagger has won.

That and people keep wasting there vote on Crock.

I didn't think it was a waste last night. I really voted for him to keep him in second. Coco shall be most displeased.

Election has a few more days left, it's foolish to assume that any of the candidates has it in the bag yet. Look at how much it changed just in the last 24 hours...Coco went from having a huge lead to being 10 votes behind. Even if you factor in that most of the people who were really interested in the election having voted already, 10 votes is still not an insurmountable lead. Yeah, Dagger is leading big...at the moment. But, Coco was leading by a large margin not all that long ago too. Hell, tomorrow we might even find Crock surging ahead.

This election won't be over until it's over.

Except that the reason Dagger surged ahead is because of his actual campaigning for votes, which as previously stated by several people is a legitimate strategy. At this point, it appears that if Coco wants to win (which hasn't actually been proven true) he's going to have to do SOMETHING.

Votes get cast and leads dwindle and switch fairly often. WZ tourney, the poster tourney, tag tourney. All have had lead changes and what not.

Granted...I am just saying that declaring Dagger to be the winner might be a bit premature at this point, election is only a little more than half over. If Dagger still has a 10 vote lead in another 24 hours, perhaps. I just know that when I went to bed last night, Coco seemingly had this election wrapped up, and I would have assumed (incorrectly) that his lead would have gotten even larger by the time I woke up. It's made me cautious to declare that the election is over.

Wait, when did you jump ship? I thought you were ABC until you die.

WOLFPAC, MUTHAFUCKA

It's strange seeing people say that Dagger's campaigning. In politics, campaigning implies that ideas are being put forward.
