The Doctor's Office

Well X has posted that he thought it s was a pretty good show, so now it seems more people are going in and pointing out that they liked it as well. This is why I tend to like X's reviews better, he's reviews are very well done, fair, and at the same time he comes across more as a fan reviewing wrestling, and not just a critic

Yeah, X even gave Capitol Punishment a good review. I'm surprised. I always thought X was supposed to be the cynical one. :lmao:

:wtf: Did this actually happen (at CP), or is it a typo?

Swagger applies a chinlock as we get a shot of the Bellas cheering Bourne on at ringside with Keith Stone.

Really doesn't make much sense for 2 heels Divas to cheer for the face in the match

Does anybody here think HBK is going to try and persuade John Cena to enact a "Chicago Screwjob" next week? After all, he DID say he'd screw Bret Hart again if he had to.

Just watched the Green Hornet movie. Not bad, some cool action and I like the characters a lot. Would love to see a movie with just the Green Hornet and Kato kicking ass in slow motion.

The deaths were fucked up, though. They were like something out of Mortal Kombat.

I think they were suppose to be real over the top, it is an action comedy after all

I'm watching the new Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon. The Spider-Man sequences are really good.

Terrific show. Damn shame they canned it in favour of the new Ultimate Spider-Man show. They worked the comics in really well, whilst creating their own version of the universe. Then again, what else would you expect from the team that brought you Gargoyles.

It certainly is. Wish I could mix music like that. I have ideas but not the tools or knowhow to do it.

I forgot how awesome WWE Originals was:

I think it's kinda funny that they're working on a new Ultimate Spider-man cartoon, and that today they're releasing the final issue of the comic book. You would think the idea of creating an Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon would be to get people interested and buy the comics, kinda hard when you end the damn series and "kill off" Spidey

Oh nice we can get custom avatars now, I assume this means I can use one of the ones I made and posted in that cage thread last winter

.
We've known about "The Death of Spider-Man" since late last year, but since then debate has raged over whether or not Ultimate Peter Parker's death would be thematic/metaphorical or for real dead-as-a-doornail.

One day before the release of Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #160, the chapter that holds the answers, Marvel sent out a press release to generate some buzz (read: sales) for the issue. In it, Marvel confirms that Peter Parker will indeed be kicking the bucket.

"10 years ago, Brian Bendis and Mark Millar changed the way people saw super heroes with the birth of the Ultimate Universe. With 'Death of Spider-Man' the two have done it again, creating a story just as big, and something that would really resonate with fans." said Mark Paniccia, Marvel Senior Editor. "But Peter's death doesn't signal the end of their larger plan—it's the start of one of the most ambitious stories you've ever read in comics."

"We've never seen a world without Spider-Man, a world without Peter Parker, so his death is a significant event for the Ultimate Comics Universe and we're going to see how quickly it changes everything. Readers are in for something very new…and surprising because everything that happens in Ultimate Spider-Man #160 and Ultimate Comics Fallout sets the stage for even bigger stories," added Axel Alonso, Marvel's Editor in Chief.

Writer Brian Bendis told USA Today, "It occurred to me that if Peter passed away in a meaningful way, he could be the Uncle Ben character to a new Spider-Man, which then continues it to be a real Spider-Man story."

He continued, "Why I've killed him? That's another thing for another therapy session, but this could not be more important to me. To screw it up would be a complete failure on my part on numerous levels. Not only has he passed away, he did it very publicly, he did it with his mask off. A lot is revealed about the character to the public they didn't know about."

So there you have it, folks. We can't say we're all that surprised. Peter Parker is out, and someone new is in. The story will continue in this summer's Ultimate Comics Fallout with a brand new Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #1 to follow.
