The Doctor's Office

She'll unify every title into the Glamazon Championship.

I'm amazed at how many people believed my thread in the Spam Zone.

If I say Tenta's name into a mirror 3 times, do you think he'll show up in this thread?

Yep.

I dunno, my paranoia senses are going. I feel like that this thread was made to keep me in here and out of everywhere else.

Doesn't help that I got little sleep last night.

Hey Doc, quick Azumanga question:

Do you think Sakaki has any idea that Kaorin has the hots for her? And if so, why hasn't she said anything about it?

Well, Sakaki probably thinks it's a schoolgirl crush, which is actually fairly common in Japan. Look up "Schoolgirl Lesbians" on TV Tropes for details. Obviously to Kaorin it goes far deeper than that.

Also, Yukari and Nyamo are totally secretly married.

(And how disturbingly hilarious is the Kimura/Kaorin folk dance scene? Never have I seen something so terrifying yet so damn FUNNY.)

I'll finally get onto Plastic Beach today

Listened to the latest Offspring album. Not nearly as bad as I had expected. Couple of good songs but nowhere near what an Offspring album. They are dangerously close to moving squarely into the middle of the road...

Remember to post in my Plastic Beach thread when you're done.

And it always sucks when a band you like's new album is disappointing. It happened to me with Daft Punk. Maybe it is because I listened to Discovery before Homework but Daft Punk was that way for me. Discovery was awesome but Homework only had a few good songs. I know X totally disagrees but this is just how I feel.

He might bust through your wall.

At least his top half will.

That kind of makes me feel sorry for poor Kaorin. Even though she's one of my least favourite characters, for reasons even I don't fully understand.

Also, Yukari and Nyamo are totally secretly married.

Oh yeah, definitely. And Tomo and Yomi are sleeping together.

That was a level of mentally scarring I was not prepared for when I first saw that.

Mentally scarring in the BEST WAY POSSIBLE you mean. I had forgotten all about it until a while ago when I was rewatching it. I was watching it while jogging around the room for Wii Fit and I nearly fell over laughing because of it.

Someone post the clip. I know it's on Youtube because I used the Dance With Sakaki scene to show a friend how a character in our Capcom AU would act around Rockman.

Here's the whole dance scene.

Best. Scene. Ever. Never before has Nightmare Fuel and Hilariosity worked togeher to produce such harmony.

Just got out of school early in order to go to the doctor's. Something to do with paperwork.

I spent a lot of yesterday evening listening to Kraftwerk.

I don't know how many times I must tell you this Dear Doc, but Homework was Daft Punk's first album, Discovery was their second album. Check Wiki if you must.

And Homework was amazing. I think you may have confused albums mate.

Yeah man, I know about album order. And I heard Discovery before Homework. That is all I meant.

To me, every song on Discovery was great with the possible exception of Too Long. Homework had some gold like Daftendirekt, Indo Silver Club, and my favorite Daft Punk song Around the World, but it also had RocknRoll, Oh Yeah, and others that just were not my style.

What do you think of Human After All? General consensus is that it's too repetitive, but I quite enjoyed it. Plus their ALIVE concerts look incredible.

Eh...Human After All, with the exception of a few songs, was a pretty big step back for Daft Punk IMO. Their first two albums were so good though that it's hard to live up to that, so that may have had something to do with it.

Looked at the WZCW Discyssion thread. You're criptid message is you wanting a Hardcore or Mayhem Match.

Why does this thread have so many posts in it?
:(

Yeah, I'd have to agree. Kind of funny how robotic an album called Human After All was. I mean, I loved "Primetime of Your Life", "Robot Rock", and most of the other songs, but there was nothing that really made me sit up and go 'AWESOME' like on Discovery or Homework.

On Discovery it was almost every song, since I had never heard something like that before (Seriously, Daft Punk is the cause of my lifelong love of electronic music). Homework had 'Around The World', which I still consider to be the best Daft Punk song out there. It also had several other tracks like 'Teachers' and 'Da Funk'. Human After All had 'The Brainwasher'...and that's about it.

And though I may not like Homework as much as Discovery, Homework's last track was an incredible touch. If Homework didn't have 'RocknRoll', 'Rollin' and Scratchin'' and 'Oh Yeah', then I would definitely agree with you on it being a masterpiece.

'Around the World' also has one of my favorite music videos ever. Can't post it here, though, they disabled embedding.

Yeah I'd agree, Around the World is their best song, possibly one of the best electronic songs of the past 15 years really. Literally every single rave I've ever been to, that song has been played atleast once.

I liked Alive 2007 better than Human After All, if only for the epic mashed up version of Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger and Around the World.

Their Alive albums and concerts are absolutely top-notch. I remember watching Robot Rock/Around the World at Alive 2006 on Youtube the day after my grandma died, when I needed to escape from the world for a little. I got totally lost in it. Nearly had me in tears, it was that awesome. I want to go to one of their concerts one day.

Ah, here's the video:
