The Doctor's Office

Since SSC hasn't stopped in to share some music in Doc's absence, and on the topic of donkeys, I present to you folks a shitty song.

A ton of great Nintendo stuff was on show at E3 today. Anything in particular that's got you guys excited? My panties are wet for Goldeneye, quite simply a game that defined my childhood.

3DS. Thing is full of fucking WIN. ability to take and view 3D pictures, view 3D movies, and a crapload of AWESOME 3rd party titles.

Goldeneye did look insane, and I can't wait for it. Kirby looks awesome too.

I love it when Nintendo wins E3.

Goldeneye. I mostly play sports games but I loved that game on N64. Unfortunately, they still have Oddjob in it.

Goldeneye is the greatest 1st person shooter ever made. It single handedly MADE console FPS's what they are today. They need to have Oddjob in it. He was in the original, and was huge in the multiplayer (figuratively of course, not literally). Taking him out would really dilute the appeal to the new game, which is a fan-service. The game isn't about graphics, voice-acting, or anything like that. It's about fan service. They hit the nail on the head.

Fill me in or link me. I missed it.

Here's IGNs live blog from the E3 presser. They also linked their vid of the entire thing during the blog (don't know if the vid works or not).

In This thread, Lee breaks down the presser.

I reccomend looking at both. IGN's live blog is more in depth, but Lee provides the fan aspect that can't be provided by the media.

Goldeneye excites me because I spent endless hours perfecting my run-n'-gun technique on that game. I know plenty of folk who found this to be one of the only FPS games they enjoyed. I am disappointed that there isn't much in terms of graphical and sound updates, nor does there seem to be an abundance of additions other that replacing Pierce Brosnan with Daniel Craig. However, this shit wasn't broke, so why fix it? Give me the same game with fluid wiimote and chuck control and we're good.

Epic Mickey is also surprisingly one of the others that excite me. Anyone remember Micky Mania? I played that on the SNES by accident one day (video rental placed goofed putting my game in the box), and it blew me away. I get the same kind of feeling from this title. I'm far from being a Disney mark, but I'm planning on picking this one up short of disaster before release.

Wait...can you fill me in? What's Epic Mickey?

And I've just finished Death Note:

WOW! This was amazing. Light's final defeat. I figured that it would end with Light's death but not completely the case. The open eyed innocence of a boy looking to better the world had slowly become twisted as the series went on and it was only in the finale when we truly discovered how twisted it had become. Amazing as it is that Light survived so long, it's amazing to think that Matsuda was the one who saved the day. I actually had it pegged that Light would kill Near & Everyone else but would be killed by someone that we didn’t know like The Sopranos. Not to be the case, Ryuk delivering the final blow is one of the most beautifully ironic things I've ever read and in a way actually shows a bit of mercy from Ryuk. Amazing and without a doubt the greatest Manga I've EVER read and I would go so far as to say, the greatest thing I've EVER read.

I was only saying it because he's annoying as fuck to shoot in multiplayer. I know he has to be in it. How would they explain the loss of an important character? He felt remorse for what he did so they kicked him out?

I agree, except it is easier to get a headshot on him, since holding the gun at the default position was right at his head.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
