The Bullshiting About Comics Thread w/ Justin & Friends

People can fuck right off with the Sentinel hate. That design & the reasoning behind it is great. The more I see from this movie the more excited I get.

Jeremy Irons as Alfred, I like that a lot.
Jesse Eisenberg as Lex, I think I like that a lot. That has potential.

Also, Fox might be going with Channing Tatum starring in a Gambit solo movie. I actually like all of that.

Dont know if he could pull off the bald look, but the role has potential. Irons as Alfred is going to be awesome though.

Channing Tatum as Gambit? Finally a comic book movie that ladies will take us out to see. This may implode the universe while reversing the natural order of movie date night, watch out.

FUCK YES!!

So I've seen the Mandarin one shot and while it's good and really intriguing (considering they didn't have to give us this despite some people's complaints) if they have no plans for a future Iron Man movie I have no idea where it goes.

Fun little way to kill thirteen minutes though.

How is Marvel Now working out?

Fine I guess, I only read books written by writers I like featuring characters I like, & Marvel has a lot of great writers. I recently cut back on a ton of books mainly for financial reasons, Punisher & Indestructible Hulk look to be the Marvel books I'll be reading in issues, everything else I'll pick up in tpb.

I'm also picking up Nightwing (until it ends) & Batman for DC, Star Wars for Dark Horse, & Peter Panzerfaust, & Lazarus from Image.

Is it actually DCAU as evisioned by Pau Dini et al?

Nope, Dini & Timm are no longer working with WB/DCAU, & the product has suffered greatly, I think Dini is actually working with Marvel Animation on Hulk & the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., no idea what Timm is up to these days.

I'm glad Pete will be back, & even happier that Steven Whack-o won't be writing Spidey anymore.

Gotham has officially cast their young Gordon, & he'll be played by Ben McKenzie, of SouthLAnd & The O.C. fame. He should be a good fit as he has 5 season's worth of experience playing a cop on Southland, he was also the voice of Batman/Bruce Wayne in the DCAU Batman: Year One release.

Has a Suicide Squad series been announced? Arrow's going that way.

John Wesley Shipp has been cast in The Flash. It's an unknown role but has to be Jay Garrick surely.

Anyone else seen Venom: Truth in Journalism yet? I just stumbled upon it & for a short it is not too bad. Could have used just a tad bit of work on Venom itself but you cant really complain much for a black & white short by Joe Lynch.
