in over all ability, mic skills, and charisma i would say ric flair. he's just good. a close second would be mr. perfect.

edge sucks and bret hart is a cry baby loser, roc flair is good but you gotta know when to hang it up you gotta say THE SHOWSTOPPA, THE HEART BREAK KID SHAWN MICEALS

The 10 GREATEST Wrestlers of all time
10. Mike Rotunda
9. Barry Windham
8. Arn Anderson
7. Sid Vicious
6. Rick Steiner
5. Chris Benoit/Dean Malenko
4. Marcus Bagwell
3. Randy Savage/Bret Hart
2. Sting
1. THE TOTAL PACKAGE Lex Luger

Lex was head and shoulders above everyone when it came to wrestling. He should have been at least a 7-time world's champion. Sting was great as well.

The 12 greatest wrestler's of all time? You cant honestly put Luger, Bagwell, Sid & Rick Steiner in your list.

Luger may have had the look but he was shite as a wrestler. Same for Sid. Same for Bagwell.

Rick Steiner gave the impression he was a good wrestler. And he was ok. But the fact is that Scotty was the work horse. He would do all the work then Rick would make the hot tag.

It is definitely the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. He has won titles all over the world even when wrestling was real. He is the greatest of all time because he helped push some great stars too. Like Sting for example.

Here's my top ten people on all time wrestlers:

10. The Undertaker - The Deadman!
9. Shawn Michaels - Won at least every title (main) once.
8. Triple H - over 10 world title reigns
7. Brock Lesnar - The Next BIG THING!
6. Bret Hart - just look at what he has done!
5. Stone Cold Steve Austin - fans loved him
4. The Rock - electrifying
3. Kurt Angle - Greatest technical wrestler in my book
2. Ric Flair - The Legend
1. Hulk Hogan - The Immortal

Technical wrestling ability: Bret Hart

Charisma/marketability: Hulk Hogan

Productivity/merchandise sales/revenue producer: Stone Cold Steve Austin

Best overall wrestler (combination of above): HBK

hatehabsforever has a good list of things.
however, to me bret hart is tied with chris benoit for the best technical wrestler

This is a very hard choice as I love most all wrestlers but I do disagree with some of your choices such as

Sting, Hogan, Flair, and Taker: One way or another these guys have eliminated themselves from ever being considered best ever, all four continue to reuin their legacy IMO by continuing to step in the ring WAY past their prime, and to tell the truth with the exception of Taker i've never really been a fan of any of these guys as Hogan's wrestling ability has always and will always be in question, Flair IMO is and always has been WAY overrated not even close to being as good as people claim, and the same goes for Sting who I never really cared for period but again this is only MY opinion.

Here's the guys I loved to see, and consider some of the best of all-time

Dean Malenko, Tom Billington, Randy Savage(Prime), Shawn Micheals(Prime), Bret and Owen Hart, Eddie Guerrero, and Taz(ECW Prime) say what you want about my list but it only has to do with my view and the style of wrestling I enjoy to watch.

Newer guys that may join my list in the short or distant future...

Kurt Angle, Steve Austin, Chris Benoit, HHH, Nova/Mike Bucci/Simon Dean(excellent wrestler IMO, most people forget just how good he REALLY is), Chris Jericho and guys like Bryan Danielson(in the very distant future), Austin Aries, Roedrick Strong, Gregory Helms, Samoa Joe, Brock Lesnar(if he ever comes back to wrestling) Shelton Benjamin, James Gibson/Jamie Noble, and Homicide(NOT the TNA version).

First off, Please tell me that you didn't say that Flair is overrated.Wow!Okay, Flair is the man.He was a great technical wrestler. He helped pave the way for newer superstars. He has great charisma and great mic skills. He has some of the best matches of all time under his belt.He wrestled every day from 45-to 60 minute matches day after day.

Secondly, Sting was a great competitor and had great matches with Ric Flair. He is nowhere close to being overrated either.

See this is YOUR opinion I just happen to have a different view of things than you do, if you would have read the post more clearly you would have realized I stated IMO after every statement I made, i'm not saying i'm right and you're wrong i'm just saying this is how I feel and BOTH IMO weren't as good as wrestlers as people claim and were very Overrated but again this is only MY opinion, and I know for a fact most people on this site will disagree but that's why these forums are so interresting if everyone had the same views on everything life and this forum would be very boring.

The greatest professional wrestler of all time is Hulk Hogan. I know, some may have been better performers and entertainers than Hogan and he may be a little overrated, but he came from AWA to the WWE and he made WWE what it is today. If it wasn't for Hogan, WWE would not be the same....

Exactly.I know it is your opinion but I just can't believe someone woul say Flair is overrated.I can see Sting being a bit overrated but never Flair.

In no particular order:

1. Lou Thesz - Pioneered a lot of the semi-shoot style wrestling that was mat-based but was also full-bore. Besides, being a 6-time NWA champion in his day is the equivalent of being a 25-time World Champion today. Also drew legit fear out of then-champion Buddy Rogers to the point where Rogers feared Thesz would shoot on him and actually kick his ass for real, taking his title in the process. Pioneered the STF and even has a type of press named after him (Steve Austin says thanks for that one).

2. Satoru Sayama (Tiger Mask I) - Broke lots of ground that numerous masked high-fliers of today like Liger and Misterio Jr. still tread on. Series of matches with Dynamite is alone worth enough to get on this list.

3. Rikidozan - Father of puroresu who trained guys like Inoki and Baba. Established the benchmark of Japanese credibility by defeating Thesz for the NWA strap.

4. Antonio Inoki - Pretty much the equivalent of Flair/Hogan combined in Japan. Founded New Japan Pro and is on record as being the first registered participant in a mixed martial arts bout (against Ali). Also helped to organize the Collision in Korea event that drew crowds that nearly doubled the attendance of Wrestlemania 3. Helped to establish his "strong style" of puroresu. Was also in The Bad News Bears Go To Japan.

5. Bret Hart - Bar none the premier Canadian ever to step into the ring, without question. Aside from holding great matches with nearly anyone in the business, he also made sure the matches were creatively executed. Had a solid stint in his father's promotion wrestling a wonderful program with The Dynamite Kid that was one of the first genuine tastes of fast-paced juniors wrestling to his North America. One of the crispest in-ring technicians due to his training under two Japanese wrestlers who worked for his father, hence his coined nickname from Gorilla Monsoon. His many accolades in the WWF needn't be mentioned.

6. Tom "Dynamite Kid" Billington - His steroid-fueled intensity has only been briefly touched by Chris Benoit's shining performances. Otherwise, not a wrestler alive has been able to match his balls-to-the-wall high-impact style yet. Standout runs in Stampede, NJPW, and the WWF are all high-points that were light-years ahead of the snail's pace set by his contemporaries of the time (with a few exceptions).

7. "Gorgeous" George Wagner - First wrestler stateside to really take hold of the theatrical aspect of pro wrestling and grab it by the nose. First with entrance music (which Randy Savage later borrowed), wore extravagant robes (which Flair, Rude, and Rogers can thank him for), and had his own fragrance sprayed on the way to the ring (Rick Martel kiped this one).

8. Bruno "Living Legend" Sammartino - Holds the record for the longest continual World Title reign in wrestling history at over 7 years during one of his two stints atop the WWWF. Was the king of the Northeastern Territory during his years wrestling for Vince Sr. Still holds the record for the most sellouts in Madison Square Garden and headlined a Shea Stadium event with his student Larry Zybysko. Also sticks it to Vince McMahon on a regular basis these days, only to be a tiny blip on the radar of the WWE...even though he is arguably the greatest title holder in it's history.

9. Santo - Mexican legend who pretty much wrestled forever and with one minor exception maintained kayfabe regarding his face through his whole career. Was the first Luchadore who really stuck with the Mexican people and is the masked predecessor to guys like the Tiger Masks. Also was the first pro-wrestler to parley his wrestling career into other mediums.

This is all I can come up with right now. Since wrestling is so varied, it's impossible for me to pick the "best of all time." Certain guys were good and innovative at certain things.

I think you've got the two best right there. I'd also throw in Kenat Kobashi. For a guy in his 40's he's almost as good now as he was 10 year's ago. He's making his return soon I believe after getting cancer.

But again this is just my opinion on what I love to see when I watch wrestling, to give you a better view of what I mean Kasey is a man I really respect he has an in-humanly vast knowledge of all of wrestling and it's history(which continue's to blow me away as I actually think he may know more about wrestling than I do, and I consider myself a knowledgable guy.) but as far as his list goes we would disagree do to the fact that he's more of a purest of the sport and i'm more of a "New School" type but that doesn't mean I don't respect or value your and his opinion it just mean's I don't happen to agree which happen's on this site ALOT, but again I consider Sting and Flair to be better than average in their primes but IMO diffenently Overrated in the eye's of most fans.
