The best there is

and here comes the "well HBK was competeing with the NWO angle!!!" argument for the low ratings during his title reighn. and WHO was leading the way for that angle in WCW??

.......Hulk Hogan???

Hulk Hogan > HBK and all of your other favorites. So everyone just shut the fuck up about that.

HBK is great, always has been, but he wasn't a good draw. Sure, blame it on the nWo, that is the biggest reason why but either way, he carried that company for quiet some time.

And Slim, yes, HBK should be up in the top 5 or right outside, right beside the Undertaker.

NO WAY! You mean the biggest angle in wrestling history was lead by Hogan? But wasn't he already the biggest name in wrestling who drew 93,000 fans to Wrestlemania III along with Andre and again drew the highest rated wrestling show of all time with Andre? Wow, that guy was good.

But you're all right, HBK was better because he "put on better matches."

I said he was top ten. I like HBK, he's in my personal top ten, but it still seems weird when people say he's better than Hogan.

Pretty much sums it up right there in a nutshell. Hogan is greater then everyone, period, no point in arguing. In fact, it's not arguable.

I love HBK, but it's blind fanboyism like this that pisses me off. People don't realize that HBK was very good, but couldn't lace Hogan's boots when it came down to it.

The Undertaker has been in just as many "first" matches as Shawn Michaels has, and was more of a company man then HBK ever was. Everyone wants to mention all the people HBK has put over, but everyone neglects to mention the number of people he held back in the 90's.

Don't make me bash HBK, because I honestly don't want to.

LOL If I knew you guys would make it who drew more and that kind of shit and I would not have made this Thread. Im looking at your guys opiion on who is the overall best prowrestler. In Terms on Wrestling skills ( all kinds ) , Mike skills , charisma , etc... Not just who drew more as thats easy becuase we all know Hogan was the biggest draw.

^^^Taking those qualities into account, not just drawing power, well lets see....best charisma in history of WWE=The Rock, One of the best on the mic in WWE history=The Rock, pair those two with the fact that The Rock was pretty damn in ring as well, I would go with The Rock, if we are going by those guidelines, but Hogan is the greatest of all time.

The greatest all around wrestler is Shawn Michaels if that's what you're looking for.

Hogan does deserve credit. As Terry Funk said... dude did the least in the ring, but made the most money outside of it. That alone makes him the greatest pro wrestler of all time according to the Funker, and who am I to disagree with him? That statement makes so much sense.

If we are talking purely money than It is pretty hard to argue Hogan as the Greatest Ever, As you have Inoki, Muta, Liger and Others in Japan that if you take the exchange rates into account than you have a real debate over monetary gains for a company.

Well I am talking purely money here not exposure. NJPW and AJPW are two of them, and if you want a totally objective the NWA.

Well to be honest take into account Inflationary factors. The Change in Currencies and it is a different story all together.

Well lets just finsh the quote
The best there is, The Best there was, The Best there ever will be.
Bret Hart
Fact: Ask anyone outside of America, and they will say Hart... or Khali
Fact: Hes Awesome
Fact: Incredible Ring performer, captures his audiences, Wasnt bad on the mic, drew well, And treated his in ring opponent with respect.
Fact: Whenever I play a WWE game, I choose Hart and make HBK Tap to the sharpshooter
Fact: Black bears are the most dangerous bear

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!

OMFG!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAAH!!!!!!!

OH DEAR GOD, SOMEONE PLEASE STOP THE LAUGHTER ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA COPTER PLANE FUCKING ROFLMOTORBOAT!

That is some hilarious shit. Bret Hart isn't even close, not even CLOSE to being the greatest of all time.

The best ever has to go the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels. I mean the guy put the company on his back when everyone was leaving. He is by far one of the best ever to step into that ring. He could wrestle big men, agile guys, powerhouses, hardcore. He could do it all and make it look awesome.

There is a reason why HBK has been in more "first time ever" matches then anyone else has and thats because he is that damn good. You can put him in any match and it is guarenteed to be a match to remember. He trully is The Icon, The Showstopper!

So the discussion ends there! Period!

First of all, HBK did not put the company on his back. There was a guy named Bret Hart who shared, or took on, more of the load. When HBK was champion in the mid-nineties ratings dropped and WCW kicked WWE's ass. Oh and who was champion over in WCW? Hulk Hogan

I love how American fans seem to think that the US is the be all and end all of Pro Wrestling. Important Yes. The Most Important probably not. What was that saying that Konnan said.

Wrestling in Canada a tradition, in Japan a sport, in Mexico a religion and the United States, a joke.

If we're looking at purely WWE guys, i'd say Taker.
-Yes HBK did a lot during the Monday Night War, but so did Taker, Austin, Bret first and foremost, but all the other guys in the Hart Foundation as well, and later on Foley, Rock and HHH all helped make WWE the no.1 brand. HBK was also injured during the crucial years of the War, which i believe is when the ratings started going back in their favour so what does that say?
- I never appreciated Hogan's ring work but then im a guy who got into wrestling in the attitude era, where spots, finishers, etc had evolved to a degree.
- Flair is another greatest of all time guy, but i never felt his NWA style really fit into 90's style wrestling. I adopted the ECW attitude of "Wrestling needs to get away from the NWA style," but you can't fault Flair for promos at any point in his career.

Fact is Taker has been involved in a number of innovating matches. First Casket match, first Buried Alive match, first HIAC, first Inferno match, first Boiler Room Brawl etc etc. HBK great entertainer yes, so was Taker throughout the 90's and anytime after where he was heel. HBK's moves list didn't update much in the 4 years he was gone, whereas Taker adds a new move to his arsenal every year! Takers' Mania matches won't b as good as HBK's now because we know that he'll win every year and i can't see Taker losing at Mania unless its his retirement match nor will it be any sooner than Wrestlemania 28 where he'll attempt to go 20-0, but Taker's health has to hold out for that to happen (plus he's gotta WANT to do it for that long)

My vote = Taker (by no means objective because Taker and Foley are the reasons igot into wrestling so...)

There is no argument against Hogan except for that garbage in saying that he couldn't wrestle and did nothing in the ring, like as been stated, he is the WWE, he is the greatest of all time.
