Kimura passed away on 2010/5/24 due to aspiration pneumonia at the age of 68.

Kimura was involved in the first steel cage match to take place in Japan when he defeated Dr. Death (Moose Morowski) at &#332;saka Prefectural Gym on 1970/10/8. He never lost the cage matches and was known as Kanaami no Oni.
