Survivor 35 - Hunter vs. Hearst vs. Helmsley

I dont mind the twist, i'd rather it expand and make the whole remaining three make fire, but it definitely felt like it was bought in to get Ben into the final three. The producers wanted the empowering story of a vet winning or the empowering story of mother persevering for 16 years. Devon was the best player this season and would have been a fair chance of winning if he made the three imo

He ruined his game once it got to 6. That was stupid when he turned on Ashley she would've been a lay up to beat. Then again he was also stupid when he masterminded a blindside on JP instead of on Ryan who had an idol at the time or Chrissy who I believe already had at least 1 immunity win.

I'm so confused as to what the fuck next season is about.

From the sounds of it we're in for 1000 idols and advantages.

My first thought was are they going to force whoever wins the final 5 immunity to give it to someone else like Erik did? How the fuck do they put people in those famous situations to give them the chance to make the right decision?

BTW, people are pointing towards the 'S' in Heroes in the final challenge won by Chrissy as being upside down. You can see that the top of the S is supposed to be thinner with a thicker base, in the word Heroes it's the other way around.

I stopped watching after the merge, but I'm glad Cochran and Dawn 2.0 lost. The whole Disney feel good story about the PTSD vet is a little yuck and I'd have rather seen Devon or Mike pull out in the end but just as long as those other two terrible characters didn't win in good. Hihonestly couldn't stand watching Cochran and Dawn for two seasons, so having them back again was just too much for me. At least Ben in a way was one of the more individualized characters this season. Devon was cool but we seriously have a guy just like that every since season and they're getting old.

It's obvious you stopped watching, with fair reason due to the pre-merge, because Devon ended up being one of the best players all season. He'll be back and he'll do pretty well I think. His move to save his ass in the finale was pretty fantastic because it involved him thinking strategically and not needing an idol or some advantage. Devon actually had to think and he figured out the most likely scenario and planned against it.

You're really underrating Devon as a player. If not for a final four twist, he likely wins the season. He was in the final 3, the twist stopped that, no doubt. He's the guy who got screwed over by the twist more than Chrissy.

Seriously, Devon is way better than you think and it's because you haven't seen the post-merge.

Devon masterminded pretty much how half the game played out and was going to pull the greatest final tribal council performances ever when he revealed how he pulled every string and avoided Ben gunning for him
