Superbowl XLIII LD: Steelers vs Cardinals.

Let it be known that I've been saying for weeks, that if the Steelers were going to win, it would be because of Santonio Holmes. He is the most under-rated big play threat in the league. No one wanted to listen to me...

Who won the game, that is all i am saying...

Steelers won on the shoulders of Ben Roethlisberger and the tip toes of Santonio Holmes.

I said Heath was going to be the difference maker, and it looked like a good pick for the first half.

I didn't watch any of the game...I'm just saying that I called Holmes' importance to the win. Making that catch was rather important. If it came down to his tip toes, than his tip toes were more important than Ben's arm, because it could've been better placed. Again, I did not watch the game...

No, Ben wasn't that crucial to the game. He was a factor, every QB is, but he did NOT carry that team. Over-all, the team played very well and the WR's, HB's, and RB's need their credit. The Ref's also helped, but strictly QB's; Warner outplayed Ben.

Why is the Mike Holmgren Defense being brought up?

Did they miss a call? Or blow a call?

yeah Ben wasnt that crucial, he executed 2 drives that resulted in FG's and two that resulted in touchdowns, after a defense that looked lost for most of the game except on the INT by Harrison. They put the ball in Ben's hand and they won the game. he came through in the most crucial part of the game, carried a team on his back, executed a great two minute offense, he managed the time well and threw a great pass to Holmes in the endzone.

Give Boldin, Breaston and Fitzgerald credit. You hypocrite.

I don't think he's saying Warner carried the team. I think he's saying that Warner outplayed Ben at that position.

Brian, you -really- need to hop of Big Ben's dick. Warner out-played him, nuff said.

And Fitz dicked on the Steelers near the end, and they deserve their credit yes; but the Steelers defense had Fitz shut down for most of the game, which did leave the likes of Breaston and Boldin open (Boldin not as much, because we both know what a great offensive weapon he was). Warner put up better numbers, connected with better passes, and just over-all played better then Ben.

no he didnt. He turned the ball over more... He didnt outplay Ben. Lets go see Warner scramble around like that making plays. The pass too Miller, and Holmes, and Washington were all made on Ben's feet, and arm. Ben outplayed Warner. It's not that hard to see that.

I was told that Ben had Washington wide open in the first half on a deep ball downfield, and underthrew him by about 5 yards...

Ben makes as many mistakes as big plays...

...and he turned over the ball...

Warner had three turnovers. When your QB turns the ball over 3 times, you usually dont win games.

Ben made one mistake, and it wasnt even a mistake on his part. The lineman made a nice play.

Washington was open, but he wasnt "that" open. He had time to make an adjustment, and he laid back.

So more completions, yards, more TDs, same amount of pics and higher average per completion isn't better?

See, that's your circular stupid logic. You're trying to say just because someone Won, they're better. Bullshit. There were a lot of people who failed on the Card's team that got that loss, that was not Warner's fault. He had his moments, but NOT his fault the team lost. He and the Offensive unit brought that back.

Big Ben's team had less problems, which is exactly why they won. Not Ben, but the team itself. Straight QB's, Warner was better then Ben.

good QB's dont turn the ball over in crucial situations.. Once at the goal line, and the other at the end of the game. I dont see your point.

Oh yeah, because at the end of the game that was TOTALLY a fumble. Please, it was bullshit and if you say it wasn't then you're seriously on crack or you've officially won the award for STUPIDEST mother fucker on this board.

Oh bullshit. Washington had his Man burnt, he had to slow down to catch Ben's pass. If Ben hadn't under-thrown him, it'd have been a TD.

of course.

He wasn't burnt, the defender on Limas Sweed two weeks ago was burnt. Washington was behind his man, but by like a step

refs called it a fumble... Must be a fumble.

People who hate the Steelers need a better argument. The refs cost them this, Rooney paid off the head official, the NFL is rigged, the refs were on crack...
