Summerslam LD Will Probably Feature a Bunch of Bad "Summerfest" Jokes

Yeah. Although one could argue that Silva didn't get his head slammed into concrete and he wasn't beaten down by 5 or so people.
And Cena didn't spend 23 minutes on his back getting his face caved in.

Works both ways, but the similarity is still striking.

Like I said, its nowhere near the level of Hogan no selling the elbow from Savage at Wrestlemania 5.
The IWC gets WAAAAAAAYYY to over concerned about "no-selling".

It's why most promoters don't give a damn about the IWC.

because the rock lives in LA. and everyone would mark out. I bet you wouldve
Sure, it would have been fun.

But if the Rock was going to be on the show, then the WWE would have promoted it, to get more PPV buys. It would be pointless to have the Rock come for one appearance, and not see any financial gain from it.

Do you watch UFC? Did you watch the Chael Sonnen vs. Anderson Silva fight?

Chael Sonned beat the shit out of Silva for 23 minutes straight, taking him down and dropping bombs to Silva's head. At the 23rd minute though, Silva caught him with a triangle choke and won the match.

Afterwards, Silva was all smiles, got up and went to bow down before Sonnen, and all that.

If Silva can do that in real life, I dare say Cena can do it in pretend. You don't have a leg to stand on here.

Damn right I watch UFC, and I did indeed watch that entire fight. First off, Anderson was in half to full guard everytime the two of them went to the ground, and while he took some shots, he was also able to get elbows in himself, and he did a good job of guarding against most of the bombs that you are talking about. After about 10 minutes into that fight, Chael was just as tired as Anderson was, and while he was able to take Silva down, the most he could do by then was pepper him with little rabbit punches, while Anderson was still in full to half guard. He took a lot less punishment than people think he took that fight. Secondly, there is a difference between taking rabbit punches for 13 minutes, and then being able to stand up and smile, and getting your head dropped onto concrete and then being able to stand up and smile....what.....at max 4 minutes later? There is a bbbbbiiiiigggggg difference. Like I said, I am happy Team WWE won, just unhappy about the way they won. Would have liked to have seen something different for once.

Anyone think RAW can pull a 4 tomorrow night? :)
DID YOU KNOW:

The wrestling current audience is just about the same size as it was during the late '90s.

You heard me right, kids. Don't let TV ratings fool you into thinking we're not in a boom.

NOC is next? So no Cena vs Barrett... Maybe they can weave them into the title hunt and have a fatal 4-way. I don't know.

I disliked the ending.

It's pointless to argue over it being right or wrong, because that just boils down to an opinion at this point in time. I'm happy with everything that was set up in the match, and I agree Nexus was made to look strong. I simply disliked the ending.

True. I'm still gonna claim Silva got lucky. So did Cena. Hogan no-selling the elbow drop completely killed the match for me.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Nexus lost the battle, but the war isn't over.

Nexus will still lose the war, but not for another few months.

Source? Nielsen ratings measure a sample percentage of households in America that are watching a show at any given time. In the late 90s, Raw was pulling around a 6, now it pulls around a 3. How the fuck did America's population double in 10 years?

More people have cable than did back then.

*EDIT* I'll find the article for you tomorrow. Soonest I'll be able to get ahold of my guy.

:lmao:

If you TRULY believe that, then I think I will call you incredibly biased, unless you are an idiot.

Pro wrestling is an entertainment medium that sees guy get hit with chairs, thrown into steel poles, dropped on their head and back, take punch after punch, kick after kick to the face...and none of that is good enough to beat someone. As opposed to the UFC where one punch or kick to the face is enough to knock someone out cold.

And you're really saying 5 minutes of a pro wrestling beat down doesn't compare to 23 minutes of getting punched in the face? And that Silva was in a better position to be happy and bowing to Sonnen than Cena was to be fucking smiling?

Get out of here with that shit. Pay attention to what you're watching. Pro wrestling is storytelling, not reality, and even in reality, guys are more "Super Silva" than what Cena did tonight.

Either you're an idiot or biased, either way, I tend to not care about your opinion.

Do you see the age these little tarts are poppin out babies? It's like 8 per household now o_O

Umm, Cena/Barrett can happen I think. Night of Champions just means every title is on the line. It doesn't mean every match is a title match. Cena/Barrett could be non-title.

Haha Hogan no-selling.... All he ever did. Never made a difference to me, it was his gimmick. Hell, Hogan would no-sell a heart attack if he could.
