Summerslam LD Will Probably Feature a Bunch of Bad "Summerfest" Jokes

Damn right I watch UFC, and I did indeed watch that entire fight. First off, Anderson was in half to full guard everytime the two of them went to the ground, and while he took some shots, he was also able to get elbows in himself, and he did a good job of guarding against most of the bombs that you are talking about. After about 10 minutes into that fight, Chael was just as tired as Anderson was, and while he was able to take Silva down, the most he could do by then was pepper him with little rabbit punches, while Anderson was still in full to half guard. He took a lot less punishment than people think he took that fight. Secondly, there is a difference between taking rabbit punches for 13 minutes, and then being able to stand up and smile, and getting your head dropped onto concrete and then being able to stand up and smile....what.....at max 4 minutes later? There is a bbbbbiiiiigggggg difference. Like I said, I am happy Team WWE won, just unhappy about the way they won. Would have liked to have seen something different for once.

Silva took 320 punches in that fight, FYI.

I'd just like to jump in here.

Why are the admins the only ones getting credit for having brains?

I was wondering the same exact thing. I can think of certain unnamed posters who have been predicting Daniel Bryan's return at this year's Summerslam for weeks, despite being criticized and mocked for having done so.

I know. Your opinion is that he used a last gasp of energy to do everything he did. My opinion is that if you wanna make it believable and real, you have him crawl over to make the pin on Gabriel, then you have him catch Barrett, and then he doesn't move AT ALL. Any normal person would at least have a concussion or something after getting their head dropped and smashed onto solid concrete, but not Cena. Cena is able to lay there for a moment or two, and then get up with a smile on his face, and roaring. NO! Real would be to have him get helped out of the ring after getting his head smashed in. Nothing Cena ever does is real. It is superhero like.

Do you watch wrestling? I mean, they do all kinds of crazy shit. Including fighting day in and day out every week. They're billed as stronger than the average man. Ever see a wrestler go after a ref, our equivalent in a wrestling ring? He's always manhandled and down for 50 minutes when someone bumps into him.

It's one thing to say "You know, that ending was lame. Didn't like it." and quite another to say it doesn't make sense, or it Cena was just another Super Cena.

He wasn't. He was being a wrestler. Hate the ending if you want, but don't use jackshit reasons like that.

:lmao:

If you TRULY believe that, then I think I will call you incredibly biased, unless you are an idiot.

Pro wrestling is an entertainment medium that sees guy get hit with chairs, thrown into steel poles, dropped on their head and back, take punch after punch, kick after kick to the face...and none of that is good enough to beat someone. As opposed to the UFC where one punch or kick to the face is enough to knock someone out cold.

And you're really saying 5 minutes of a pro wrestling beat down doesn't compare to 23 minutes of getting punched in the face? And that Silva was in a better position to be happy and bowing to Sonnen than Cena was to be fucking smiling?

Get out of here with that shit. Pay attention to what you're watching. Pro wrestling is storytelling, not reality, and even in reality, guys are more "Super Silva" than what Cena did tonight.

Either you're an idiot or biased, either way, I tend to not care about your opinion.

What the hell are you talking about?

What I am saying is that getting beat down by 5 people, and getting your head dropped onto concrete is a hell of a lot more painful than getting rabbit punched for 13 minutes. Yeah, Anderson definitely didn't take as much punishment as Cena supposedly took.

Your right though, Pro Wrestling does see people get knocked in their head all the time, and it doesn't put them away, and pro wrestling is all about storytelling. So......what did Cena do after getting dropped on his head on concrete? He came back and won the match, he lay there for about 45 seconds, and then he got up and did his roar and was smiling. Huh....something is missing from that. If this is truly about storytelling.....then shouldn't Cena have at least, IDK, held his head at some point, and indicated that he might just be in a little bit of pain there after getting dropped onto concrete? No, stuff like getting dropped onto concrete, or getting hit with a chair doesn't normally put a person away, but the person who gets hit at least acknowledges the injury in some way. Cena doesn't do that. Cena wants us to believe that it never happened. That is why he is Superman Cena. More so than anything else, he doesn't sell an injury. He got his head dropped onto concrete, and 4 minutes later, it is like it never happened. Until Cena learns how to sell an injury, he will always have people chanting "You Suck" at him.

So, is my idea of weaving Cena/Barrett into the WWE championship scenario completely ******ed? I can't tell.
It's not ******ed, but I personally can't see a Fatal 4-way, and people will bitch and moan about Cena getting a title shot. I mean they bitch and moan now that he beat 2 rookies, what would they do if he got a 23489702346809 title shot. Besides, the way the WWE Title match ended gives Orton another 1 on 1 shot, in a gimmick match (a Strit Foit makes sense because of the lack of a DQ).

Barrett, Skip, Gabriel, and Slater's stock all rose tonight. Michael Tarver is still the Wild Card. Barrett has talked about a "higher purpose". He still has a guaranteed title shot. For all we know, the GM is on their side.

People need to stop bitching. I really wanted the Nexus to win too, but if they did, where would the angle go?

No he doesn't. GM revoked it because of the Nexus attacks.

Ya know what. I'm going with my gut. It may be stupid, but at the same time, it makes sense. Weave Orton/Sheamus into the storyline creating a fatal fourway at NOC. Sheamus vs. Orton vs. Cena vs. Barrett. Maybe make it a lumberjack match. Or better yet, have Cena about to win, then have Nexus come in beat everyone down which allows Barret to get the title.

They started feuding in March. I don't think a moderately long feud is called for at this point.

Very true Coco, but as it was on NXT and with Bryan's release, we never really got to see it develop into more and finish on Raw. I think tonight has clearly set that up as a possibility for the next couple months or so. Can't just have him beat Miz after the roll Miz has been on and that be it.
