Summer Slam 2012 At Wembley

I think it will happen. The event in '92 was huge. And I certainly think they will celebrate it. It's also the same year as the Olimpics. I dont think it will harm the event I think it would help Summer Slam out. There will be plenty of different nations in the country watching the games. And more foreigners might be willing to travel to England if they can watch several sporting events. I dont think it would be a problem for them to fill the arena either.

Yeah England needs help...

All joking aside that would be a good way to celebrate the big event that was held in 1992. Hell, i would consider a trip to England to see wrestling in Wembley, it one of the most historic sports venues in the world and would be a trip well worth it. I could brng alittle culture to my redneck ass.

I would hope to see England get one, but they won't. Vinnie mac and the WWE are paranoid enough about spoilers getting leaked online, that no way are they willing to risk their second biggest pay per view pay day of the year getting ruined because it was on 6 hours before it aired in the United States.

Not saying the UK doesn't deserve this, but it's obviously a different time then in 1992. Unless of course the WWE is willing to air the pay per view at 2pm ET on a sunday, but I don't see that happening.

I have to agree with Shock here as there no way McMahon will ever do that. Rest of the world will need to understand that they will never get a PPV outside the North America again due to what Shock said. Hell its liek pullingteeth now to get a WWE PPV outside the states to Canada and you think that Eyrope will get on...no way. All these other countries will get is RAW or Smackdown and that comes every so often.

Shocky is spot on. WWE will never EVER have another PPV outside of USA, god forbid Vince make his beloved Americans have t stay up till early hours of the morining to see a PPV like people in the UK have to do.

How good of an atmosphere would it have tho? SummerSlam in Wembly, during the Olympics Year? One can only imagine

I really see a summerslam at Wembley, and even before 2012, i mean, this could be a one time shot, and sure, they can have the event aired a couple of hours earlier at the US, lets say, 2pm East time, i dont see a big problem there, as is not a recurrent occasion.
SS 2009, Kennedy regains the WWE title against... Vince!!! LOL!!
Just kidding, we could see Harry Smith kicking the hell out of Bobby Lashley for the WHC, now THAT would be a English celebration!!`

I think the only chance we proud Englishmen have of getting any PPV to occur over here is actually Harry Smith, as said above. If he gets a great reaction and becomes a HUGE star, I could see a PPV occuring over here if he was challenging for the World Title. That I think is the only shot we have really. Anything less than a World Title shot and we have no chance.

well what they used to do was hold the ppv at about 1 am in the morning here and show it live on tv, so theres every chance they'll do it because itl air around the normal time as it would if it were beign held in the us, well thats how i remember it happening at insurexion

I've just thought. UFC tapes there PPV's in England the night before there shown. And they still attract enough intrest from paying customers. UFC is currently considerably bigger than WWE so if they do it why not WWE? Sure the spoilers would get out. That just means that WWE would have to do a big title change, gimmick match or heel turn to keep the smarks intrested in buying the show.
