Work in progress
I don't know how many of you caught this show a few months back, but I thought it was pretty damn good. Sure, I missed an episode here and there, but the overall story was pretty easy to follow. I thought the interactions between the members of the gang we're good and seemed more real than acted out. The cops' storyline was a nice treat, and to me seems like it will come into fruition in season 2.

Overall, I think it's been a good show so far, and I'm looking forward to the next season. I didn't say much about this one because I thought there was a bit much to give away. But, if you want a general story idea, think Hamlet.

Oh, it doesn't hurt that the shows got Ron Pearlman. Everything's better with a little Pearlman ;).

Does anyone have anything good to say about this show? I've constantly heard great things, but I don't have cable to watch it. Does anyone know where I can stream it online maybe, without having to download the entire season?

go to FX.com and they will have the shows available. It is my favorite show, good charactors and some good action. Watch season 1 first and season 2 will make more sense.

Personally, I just got into this show, and I'm already hooked. I missed the first season for whatever reason, and when season 2 started, I finally decided it was time to see this show I'd desperately wanted to watch. I've spent all my free time catching up. It took me two hours to watch an episode with my girlfriend, as I spent the better part of the extra hour catching her up. Anyone else a fan? I'd love to discuss it with someone, as none of my friends have seen it.

I've been watching the show as well byrnside. I too actually missed the first season too, so I've only been watching this season, but I've loved every bit of it. Fantastic cast, great plot, and I love the fact that Henry Rollins is on the show. FX has been putting on some of the absolute best television shows over the last few years, and this is just another in a long line of those great shows.

I've watched this show since season 1, and i have to say its a fantastic show, the characters, storylines and good action and its interesting to watch and the gang activities are realistic. Can''t wait for season 2 to air here in Australia.

My bad, didn't realize there was already a thread, let alone that I had posted in it... twice. Anywho, yes X, FX has repeatedly given good shows from Rescue Me to It's Always Sunny and The Shield [although I didn't see a lot of episodes], and the list actually goes on.

I just thought Sons was a great and unique idea for television. If only this show was on HBO or Showtime, I think it would be even better than it already is. They've done a great job with the character development from the get go. There isn't a character in the MC that I don't like. I find myself envying and even idolizing some of these "gangsters." Everyone's got a story, and they're telling all of them. Jax is my new personal hero, Hale makes the perfect "tweener" cop, you can't help but love [or hate] Clay, and they have a perfect supporting cast. It is awesome that Henry Rollins is on the show, he does such an effortless job playing a tough ass. I could go on and on about the characters for hours, so I'll leave it at that for now.

This is easily the best show on network televison right now. The writing for it is fantastic, my hat seriously goes off to Mr. Kurt Sutter. I have never in my life been so emotionally invested in a show than I am with SOA. All of the characters are so great and the casting for them was phenominal. Charlie Hunnam and Ron Pearleman are perfect for the roles they play, same goes for Katey Segal. The first season was so good with all of the twist and turns but I think I actually like this second season a little more. Every week we get closer and closer to the final confrontation between Clay and Jax and I am so pumped to see how it all comes to a head. I really wanna know who killed Ottos old lady though I have a good idea that it was the other sleezy porn director. Overall this show is great and only getting better, I hope to god they keep it up and this doesnt go flat like the mid seasons of the Shield did. Next weeks epsiode should be really good as well.

I absolutely agree. Every week leaves me wanting more, so much to the point that I've gone back and watched every episode a second time, and some even for a third. I love Katie Segal. It was really strange to see Peggy Bundy in a serious role, but she is amazing at it. I can only hope this show goes for a longer run than Nip/Tuck or Rescue Me.

Yeah it worries me about the direction of the show after Jax and Clay end their shit cause I completely believe that one will die in the end. Jax will kill Clay for whatever he did to his dad and Clay will kill Jax to keep the whole Donna thing quiet. It just really depends on how long Sutter wants to keep this angle running and it cant go for 6 seasons. They gotta start prepping a new major character.

I don't know, I think in the end they'll squash the whole thing, meaning Jax and Clay. If anything, Jax might kill Clay, but surely we wouldn't see that until the end of the series. I think that Jax will be the one to be like look this is what happened, let's forget it and move on. I think that because that's the direction his character is moving, trying to get them away from guns and trying to keep SAMCRO "PG" so to speak. I think every season is ultimately going to give us some new major characters, or a rival gang of some sort, they've done it so far, but I know it might be too early to say that.

Maybe but I just feel like neither guy really wants to squash this beef because neither wants to show weakness in being the one who gives in. If anything I think the club will turn on Clay and out him as their leader and name Jax the new leader. Clay would then maybe take a mentorors role for Jax when hes in charge. BUt well have to see. I like the introduction of new rivals but I also think it would get redundant. This season is obviously centering about the beef between Clay and Jax and their has to be some finality to it.

True, but I don't think that this season has to be the end of their beef. Obviously they can't drag it on forever, but I think Opie will realize Clay was the reason Donna died before Jax realizes Clay is the reason for his father's death. As for the new rivals, yeah it would definitely get a little redundant, but I think they'll drag the beef with the white supremacists until season 3. If not, they'll probably refuel their feud with the Mayans, and of course the IRA will need to be dealt with for selling them out.

See no were on the right page lol Opie and Clay need to have their time together to settle Donna. As for the white, I think they could go until next season but I think Henry Rollins will die or leave ZOebelle this season. Hes just one of those characters that doesnt appear to have a long life span. IRA need to have at least a season with Samcro because thatll give Chibbs something to do. You can tell he is conflicted by the IRA and the MC. I think the Mayans and the 19ers will have something good for the show as well, if written right.

Since the series is loosely based on Hamlet so I’m pretty sure that by the end of the series almost everyone will end up dead but agree that it's unlikely to happen any time soon with Clay. I am a big fan of the show and have watched it every week since the beginning. Like you guys, I'm interested in seeing what will happen when the truth comes out about Donna since chances are that the club will continue to coexist with the same people involved even after the truth is revealed as opposed to there being two sides so to speak. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how Opie reacts, whenever that may be.

My god was this weeks episode good or what? Probably me personal favorite so far. The acting was top notch all around for the entire cast and finally some of the wounds for the club might get closed. I gotta say Byrnside you were right. I knew when the rape came out it would unite Clay and Jax but I think it might have been exactly what was needed to finally get them all on the same page for the long run. I cant fuckin wait for next weeks episode. It looks like itll be better then this weeks one.

Absolutely. Great episode this week, probably top 3 of all time for me, maybe higher, I don't know. I couldn't believe when Gemma came out and told Clay and Jax about the rape. I also couldn't believe Chibs gave up the IRA kid. Should be interesting to see where those two stories lead. And interesting to see where Jax and Clay go from here. I can't wait for next week. Now I'm going to be wishing every week was 90 minutes.

It was really cool to see a non finale of 90 minutes but I dont know if I would go as far as wishing they all were. I wanna sleep sometime, you know what im saying? But yeah it was so well constructed and I really wanna see where all of this leads. Chibbs turning on the IRA isnt a total surprise but I think its gonna get one of my favorite characters killed. I really like Chibbs but we have learned that when ratting people out comes into play then people die and I have a feeling it will result in him being the first brother killed, which irks me a little bit. Clay and Jax will certainly bury the hatchet at least until the Arians are out of the picture then well see what happens with them from there. This has to all be leading to a showdown with the IRA next season. Thats the logical next step in my mind. But like I said I guess well have to wait and see.

Amazing episode tonight, simply amazing. I always think that Kurt Sutter can't outdo himself but he always proves me wrong. Those first 20 minutes were intense as hell and i dare anyone to find another begining with that much shit going on. I really like how finally the club is starting to come together which is honestly not something I expected to come this season. Also, I never once thought that Donnas deatj would come up in this episode, especially at the begining, but it did and damn did it not disappoint. I found Opies actions very poetic, the man who lives in violence shows mercy to the woman who set the actions of Donnas death into motion. Very good episode and I would like to retract my statement of last weeks episode being my favorite, it has been replaced by this weeks, and may be replaced again by next weeks. This show is easily the best show going today on free tv and other.

Well INDY, I finally got to see this weeks episode just now. Incredible is hardly the word. This has been by far the most dramatic episode to date. So much happened in one hour, I'm still trying to process it all. I can't believe there's only two more episodes left. Chibbs backing out of the deal with ATF was a huge moment of relief for me, especially since they were teasing him signing around the same time Clay was trying to smooth out the club's relations with the IRA. I really like Chibbs and I hope they don't kill him off. That's probably my biggest fear for the club right now, that somehow the deal with the IRA is going to fall through and Chibbs will wind up dead. I thought Sutter was going to save the truth about Donna's death for next season. I can't wait to see how the club gets to Henry Rollins. Piney coming in at the end surprised me, I kind of thought he was going to kill himself, not try to kill Clay. I'm glad they're moving past all their issues with each other. And I just have to say that Katie Sagal has never looked better than she does on this show.

Yeah the whole Donna murder being revealed that early in the episode was a complete shocker to me. It never once crossed my mind that it would come out this season or in the way it did. I have a feeling that somewhere down the line the IRA and Samcro are going to g oto war against each other, it just seems to weird if they bring Chibbs family into the show and then leave it at that. I am also wondering what all will end up going down with Henry Rollins. The show just gets better and better and this season has been off the charts. I have managed to get at least two buddies of mine to start watching it and they love it.

Another very solid show this season. Not as great as the previous two but a very good setup for the season finale. It will be interesting to see the fall out between Jimmy O and Eliott and his son since they have been pegged as rats. In the end I see this setting up some sort of show down with Samcro. I found it interesting that the ATF agent wouldn't look Opie in the face when she was busting the Sons. I also find the growing comparisons in appearance and personality between Gemma and Tara fascinating. Tara is pretty much becoming Gemma. Chibbs ex wife I cannot stand. She pretty much throws Chibbs under the bus. Finally, it is really nice to see Lem from The Shield back on screen working with Kurt Sutter. I was a huge fan of his during The Shield and hopefully he has a great character for SOA. Can't wait to see where he and Tigg go. Can't wait for the season finale next week and I will severly miss this show when it ends. Can it be season 3 yet?

Great, GREAT episode this week I thought. Towards the end of the show when they're all preparing for the big rumble and the song "Hands in the Sky (Big Shot)" by Straylight Run playing in the background, that was about as perfect as television gets right there. God I love Henry Rollins, he was the perfect choice for the white nationalist, such a talented actor, he can pretty much do it all. It was also AWESOME seeing Tara knock that administrative bitch out, that had me raising my hand in the air and cheering.

Sucks that the season is almost over now, can't wait for the season finale. Such a great show, and it was AWESOME seeing Kenny Johnson (from The Shield) as one of the Tacoma bikers on the show. Kurt Sutter is one hell of a creative mind. Great show.

I thought this was a great show, it's been very exciting, though I'm not sure if any of you recognise the main charecter. He's from Channel 4's (I think) Queer as Folk as a 15/16 year old young gay boy. To say the difference in charecter is striking, it get's quite distracting and very unusual lol. The story being predicitable and easy to follow is supposed to happen as it's a modern uptake of Shakespeare's Hamlet. I still think everything about it is one of the best of today's television, it's exciting, dramatic, thrilling to watch. My family has already downloaded the whole season on DVD but for the life of me I have no idea where from.

Yeah, TVM, I know Charlie Hunnam was on Queer as Fold once upon a time and he has just impressed me even more. He has a great range for an actor and I only see great things for the man in the future.

On to the show itself. It was a good finale, I was a little disappointed with the episode but the ending was fantastic. It really helped setup next season very nicely. I can't wait to see what happens between the Irish and what happens with Gemma. Should be very entertaining.

In about 9 months or so we will finally have a reason to once again post in here, so until then. Peace to you all.
