So our one of our cats died today

justinsayne

Cody Rhodes is an excellant
I was at work when it happen and didn't find out till I got home, and lifted the blanket to discover her laying there lifeless, at first I thought she was just sleeping, but then as I bent down to pet her it became very apparent she was "not with us any longer", I had to have my cousin to come over and help me get her out of the house

She was only 3 yrs. old, we're not sure how she died, but it appears there was internal bleeding

She will be missed

It really really sucks and was about the last thing I was expecting to come home too

I put this in the GSD instead of the cage in hopes that nobody would be an asshole and try to make some stupid fucking joke out of this, I seriously hope there is nobody that stupid an tasteless on these forums

If you are not sure what caused your lose, it may be smart to take your other cat(s) to the vet to make sure it was not from a disease that spread.

That's a good idea, didn't even cross my mind

I hate cats, but I feel for ya bro. losing a loved one (even a pet) must be devastating. My condolences.

Oh, and Blue wins for the funny line that isn't offensive. Way to go Blue!

This is (or was) Midnight, she was all black when she was a kitten, hence why she was named Midnight, then after about a year or so (I think) she started getting the brown patches in her fur, she meowed louder than any cat I have ever heard, and hated anybody she didn't know, it usually took about a week before she would warm up to you enough to have anything to do with you, and she absolutely hated our former roommate, from the beginning, apparently she was a much better judge of character than we were

Sorry to hear that Justin. Our cat passed away about a year ago and I was devastated. She supposedly went blind and then her whole body went limp. We think she suffered a stroke. She was immobilized for a few days. The night before we decided we were gonna put her down she started walking again and could sense when you were around and came to you. It seemed as if she got better, but she then started suffering seizures or something and would spaz out that resulted in jumping to extreme heights and just running in circles until she urinated herself. It was then we decided it was time to put her down.

I'm sorry you lost (one of) your cat(s), Justin. Speaking from personal experience and knowing first hand how much an animal (especially a cat) can mean to a person - I know no amount of sorries are going to bring them back, or help ease the pain.

Fuck man, its been years since I lost Morpheus and that still hurts. The sad thing is, I dread beyond anything the day I would come to part ways with Pleakley. (my porn watching cat) All I can begin to say is just keep her in your memories.

How's the other half dealing with all of this?

Not well, she bawled for hours after discovering her, and then refused to come home until after I had gotten the "remains" out of the house, she wasn't able to sleep well, it was her first cat...

I am such a softy for kitties. I am so very sorry for your loss, Justin. Norman's right about getting the others checked so that you catch anything which may harm them.

Sorry to hear about your loss, Justin. I know what it feels like to lose a pet. I lost my Dog, Rocky in April 2008. He had arthritis in the back of his legs and he couldn't walk after a while. The look in his eyes killed me inside, so me and my parents agreed that we'd have him put to sleep.

The vet said we could either perform an operation that would cost £2400 per leg, and have no long-term effect anyway, or keep him how he is (in pain 24-7) and carry him around when he wanted some food, or wanted to go out and do his business. What kind of Vet is that? I couldn't actually believe he told us we could do that.

It was hard enough bringing our FRIEND into the vet that we had for 12 years and tell them that we want him put to sleep, but to be told that we should let him be in pain was just outrageous.

We did end up putting him to sleep in the end, I was upset at first, but I didn't cry until about a day a later, that's when it really hit me. The worst part was just before he fell asleep for the last time, he licked my face, and didn't stop looking at me until the vet said "that's it, his heart has completely stopped." and it felt like somebody had ripped my heart clean out. To make things even worse, we buried him at home, in the grave both me AND my Dad dug, which was really painful aswell.

No matter how much it hurts right now, Justin; it'll be better in time. As long as you cherish the animals you still have now and care for them as long as you can, and also think of all the good memories you had of Midnight, then you'll soon see a difference when you begin to perk up and you won't feel sad anymore. I still think of my Rocky, but it's never anything sad.. always the happiest memories because I know deep down, as much as I want him back, he's in a much better place and I know I'll see him again.

Chin up, Justin. Sorry for you loss, and stay strong, stay positive, and be happy.

I never had a cat, so I wouldnt know what it feels like.
I once had a cat for a week because its owners went away for a week, So i took care and went it went back to its owner, I did not want to give it back because I loved having a cat in the house.

Anways: Sorry for the loss bro, just take your other pets to the vet to check them out.

So now foul play is suspected, I guess our former roommate stopped by yesterday after I left for work for some reason, and was left alone in the house for a few minutes, so he could change for work (I have no idea why he was allowed to be alone in the house when I don't want him here at all), rigor mortis takes about 3 hrs. to set in, and had by the time she was first discovered at around 4:30, this would place the time of her death right around the time he was alone in the house, and it is no secret that he never liked her, also he has proven over the last couple months to be a psycho, and we found what appears to be a part of a bloody palm print on one of the towels hanging up in the bathroom

I really have no hard evidence that he killed her but if I ever find out that he did, I don't know what the fuck I'll do, other than lose my fucking mind..., I hope to god he didn't kill my cat, I really do

Don't take any of this as me thinking the situation is good, however, if it is proven that he had something to do with it, I do believe it will be MUCH MUCH easier to get a RESTRAINING ORDER, WHICH YOU NEED TO GET. AND if he brutalized the feline, then you might be able to get him locked up easier.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, you NEED to get a restraining order against that "man", and even try to press charges against him for assault 9he hit the pregnant girl, right?).

And why was the guy allowed in, if he's moved out? He has no need to be there (isn't his stuff out too?) Him being there is further proof that he needs to be locked the fuck up, and then anally raped by a fellow inmate of his.

I'm sorry to hear that justin.

I know what it feels like to lose a pet before their time and it sucks.
