Glad to see the additions of people like Gallows, Archer, and Nexus DLC to make the roster a little more fresh.

Well now i believe there are about 12 more superstars to be revealed.

This is awesome news as these two wrestlers i will play with and if Randy Savage is in the game it will blow my mind!
So far this is looking good.

I would bow down to THQ for the rest of my life if Savage made the game, but seeing as he wasn't even in Legends of Wrestleania, I doubt WWE likes the guy enough to have him as a legend in their main game franchise.

Khali's gotta be in it. Hopefully he's one of the 15 unannounced guys.

I only hope that they change the story designer so that you can have more than 10 scenes with your created superstar(s). That limit makes it damn near impossible to do anything lasting longer than 2 weeks...

The WWE universe mode should be cool too, in a sense its bringing back GM mode and create a PPV mode and mixing it in with 24/7 mode from '08. Smackdown vs RAW 2011 shouldn't dissapoint.

So here's what I'm wondering.... have they said ANYTHING in regards to tag matches? Have they implemented illegal tags, better blind tags, better hot tags, create a tag finisher, balanced teams... anything? From what I've read, I haven't seen anything.

Seems to me that they haven't focused on anything other than the WWE Universe mode and the Weapons.

I know that the weapons are getting the most attention as far as game improvements go, which is stupid cuz WWE is the farthest thing from Hardcore wrestling and you barely ever see weapons anyway. I guess they're doing new weapon interactions too. Like setting up the ladder on the floor and leaning it up against the ring ropes so that you can run up it into the ring.

Tag matches are bland and boring as they are now. I also think that more emphasis should be placed on that aspect, because the only way for 2 people to actually have playing tag matches is Tornado Tag.

Can't wait hope rev system is better and i hope ai is smarter honestly i was in a ladder match triple threat one of my opponets had me in a SS and the other one had a perfect chance the title meter or whatever it is was almost done and the ladder was fit perfectly so that he could get it easy win there but no he broke up the subbmissionthen i quickly climbed and won another thing is Tables match they set up tables then picked them up and hit you with them i let them get there finish/Sig what did they do hit me with a table is what he did honestly and rev system i had new caw never used face my 99 in all Caw the new caw reversed automatically i pressed rev for a long time and guess what i only reved 5 times in a 30 min ironman they should change it

I really hope that the ladder match is fixed too! Having it take soooo damn long to pull the title down is really unrealistic. You never see guys up there wrenching on the belt for 3 minutes before finally pulling it down. During the Roster reveal they showed Bret Hart vs The Miz in a ladder match and Bret won fairly quickly, but it might have just been highlights...

Has anyone heard anything about the ladder match imparticular?

Well they have added more to the create modes like Finishers, Move Set ( which gets new moves added each year), CAS, Storyline Design modes which is good and i like the additions and new things to create modes as it gives me as a player and fan more freedom and entertainment. But as a whole a fresh roster and updated roster, new matches and game physics and mechanic make this installment the best i will have owned and played.

The game boasts over 70 superstars, yet only 50-some were revealed. The roster page has blank slots for 7 superstars and 7 legends. What are your predictions?

Mine are...

Superstars

1. Great Khali- He's been on TV, there's no reason to not include him.

2. Shelton Benjamin- I think its an avid prediction because the game was in production before he was released.

3. Curt Hawkins- Why have Vance Archer without his partner?

4&5. Mickie James & Maria- They were both released around the time Shelton was.

6. Vince McMahon- He's always in them...

7. Hornswoggle- Maybe not as a playable character, but as the manager role as in previous games.


Legends

1. The Rock- He always seems to make it into the games.

2. Stone Cold- He also finds his way in...

3. Dusty Rhodes- Again? why not? This time in ring gear though.

4. Ted Dibiase Sr- Same as Dusty, in his prime.

5. Sgt. Slaughter- It was already announced he was in the game, but then pulled...

6. Ricky Steamboat- He Recently was involved in WWE programming, and it'd be cool to relive the Steamboat/Jericho rivalry with Steamboat coming out on top.

7. Either Jimmy Snuka or Roddy Piper- They're both in good standing with WWE, and make semi-regular appearances (as far as Legends are concerned)


Am I right. or horribly wrong? What are your predictions?

3: The Great Khali I have no idea why he wouldn't

Both Bryan and Marcus have stated that neither Khali nor Jillian are in the game this year... so to those empty spots, I'm ruling them out. With that said, here's my 14.

7 Superstars

1. - Carlito (he was released recently... like during NXT season 2 I believe)
2. - Shelton Benjamin (he may have not resigned, but he is a fan favorite in the series)
3. - Tommy Dreamer - he was in ECW before it closed, and I do believe that they kept the ECW arena
4-7. - DLC characters... not all 70 have to come from the main game, the rest could be from DLC or maybe they would count the empty spaces for CAW (sounds weird but think about it)


7 Legends

1. - Lex Luger - He's confirmed for a DLC with the "I'll be your hero" theme and I am excited as can be.
2. - Yokozuna - If they're putting Luger in, I'd say he would be the next choice.
3. - The Rock - Uhm hello, the guy has been in EVERY smackdown game, why take him out now?
4. - Ahmed Johnson - Just a joke, but would be cool if he made it
5. - Ted DiBiase SR. - He was one last year and he was inducted into the HoF this year
6. - Brian Pillman - I was listening to a podcast with Marcus in it and when they asked about him being in the game, he got too hesitant to answer so that leads me to believe he is in there somewhere
7. - Owen Hart - So what if that idiot ex-wife of his is being a stuck up prune face, the WWE has a right to put one of the greatest legends of all time into their game... especially if it's for the canadian audience.



Also, be warned that Canada markets have confirmed a "Hart Dynasty" package so that might be included as well.


BTW, I am jealous of the UK right now I really wanted the orton cover and not another cena cover... Which is weird because that's a complete reverse in terms of who is over. Cena's over in UK more than the States and vice versa for Orton... anyway, it's still to be a great game.....

Yeah I've heard that you have more than one chance to reverse a move. Leading me to believe that the longer and more complex the move is, the more reversal chances you get? Day of Reckoning did it, why wouldn't SVR 2011.

I hope this applies to finishers as well, then we'll see less of those ridiculous, long finishers that are totally unrealistic.

Ya I posted that it didn't show up. On the website they revealed Shelton,Vince,DiBiase Sr.,Hornswoggle and Bearer. With the latter two being non playable mangers. I'm trying to order from Best Buy and get Hart but they only let you pre order the PS2,PSP and Wii versions of the game, it sucks. But yes I will be getting this on Launch day from somewhere.

A few more names have been added to the roster;

On Smackdown, they've added Hornswoggle (NPC), Shelton Benjamin & Mike Knox with two spots open. Raw's roster has been filled with the addition of Mr. McMahon. The Legends roster is now half full with Stone Cold and The Rock. Five more legends TBA.

I wonder, with the recent plugs he's been getting on TV, if we'd see any of the faces of Foley in the game. I doubt it of course, but hey, one can hope. Eddie Guerrero would be nice, as well.

GM mode for sure, that the only reason i got the newer ones hoping they brought it back, smackdown without gm mode is like madden without franchise mode, i would like to be able to create finisher from any location(front, back, down, turnbuckle, etc), they should include the entrance music from all wwe superstars past and present, instead of just one person interfering in match which rarely happens, they should have 2 or 3 people come out, and be able to make highlight reel out of several matches instead of one.

Ok i just read somewhere that Wade Barret , Otunga and Gabriel are added to the game.

Is that true or they are just DLCs?I live in a country which I really can't Download contents for my Xbox 360 so I'll be too happy if they are in normal roster.

I think the roster will look super-stupid without Nexus considering the fact that the game is gonna be released right in middle of Nexus angle , which is the hottest thing going on in WWE.WWE and THQ should find a way to build the roster in a way that doesn't piss off fans every year.

The nexus guys are gonna be DLC I believe,but only Wade,David,and Justin.

The thing about Nexus not being in the game is that it's actually developed and stuff long before now and the Nexus debuted in June so I don't think they had much time to include them in the game. I just hate the Ted's new theme isn't on the game and I'm hoping we get "Dashing" But I got Zack Ryder and Primo so I'm fine

This pic shows that those 3 of Nexus are in the roster and i think this means that they aren't DLC , because they're in same category that contains HBK and BAtista and Hart dynasty.

Seems THQ has done its best to let 2011 be the best SvR ever!

I still think they're going to be in the DLC pack, I do believe that Justin Roberts said so at the roster announcement. As for the picture, well where else do you put them if not with the RAW roster. Below that is a Legends section, you wouldn't put them with the likes of Rock, Austin, Hart. So it makes sense to place them with the RAW people. Plus Bret Hart is a pre order thing (I think), and he is with the Legends. Lex is a DLC and he is placed with the Legends. So it really means nothing where they are placed in the roster page.

And to the comment about Nexus not being in the game, well the game started before Nexus were around. The reason why David, Wade, Justin are in the game is because they were the final 3 in NXT Season 1. To answer the comeback, I believe that Paul Bearer did voice recordings for the game months ago. I think someone said it on the first page of this thread.

Well its official ..JAKE THE SNAKE ROBERTS. , he's going to be in the game and this is freaking sweet. New entrance music for him but I love it. im wondering if there going to do anything more then just a bag that he carry's down to the ring and have the snake come out. I would like to use the snake in a match as a extra movie for jake the snake some how. But ya they also added terry funk and jimmy super fly as well.

Sweet news they have added Jake, the master of the DDT! The legends are looking really good this year with Rock, Austin, Jake, Bulldog and Funk. Not really bothered about Snuka or Lugar tbh, I was hoping for an Owen Hart and a Neidhart so we could make a huge Hart Foundation with the original members and the Dynasty
