Should Kane be masked?

He was so much cooler with the mask. But now that it is off, I don't see much of a reason to go back to it. They'd need to make up some sort of storyline that would cause him to have "major face surgery" - so he'd need to wear a mask - thus, he goes back to his old mask.

I don't think it'll happen though. I mean, if I was a wrestler, I'd rather NOT wear the mask because it probably just annoyed the heck out of the guy.

I would love for him to bring back the mask but the thing is he took off that mask in 2003' when he lost the Mask vs. Title match with HHH. I doubt some people remember him having a mask (younger fans) and why would he bring a mask anyways. It's no point to bring a mask, they story they went with when he had a mask was because his face got burnt in a fire with the Undertaker and their parents. Heck at that time it didn't sound stupid, A lot of people liked the idea. Now what's the story? He burnt his face again?

If you really want to give him a boost, turn him heel like he was back in 2003, where he set people on fire and such. That would set him off on Smackdown. Or send him back to Raw, where he could compete as an IC Title contender and such. Or both

Man I want the biker Taker back. At least biker Taker talked on the mic and did some promos. The "Legandary/Dark" Undertaker is just wrestling in the ring and nothing outside of it. Smackdown needs a big heel, Edge is getting a good reaction now a days (Edge getting cheered at RR 08). Smackdown could use the American Bad Ass Undertaker gimmick. Turn him heel, so where it goes. As for the Kane Mask, you can only use that gimmick once and once only. It doesn't work if you use it again.

...actually, that might not be a bad storyline...have someone lead him into a house, and then set the house on fire, have it bring back bad memories for him and he goes back to the mask...

BUT the thing is, he doesnt need the mask. the reason kane isnt going anywhere is because WWE obviously doesnt believe in him. kane himself isnt doing anything wrong, if wwe actually pushed him in a serious way where he finally got the title again, that would fix kane's "problem".

If there was ever another opportunity for the masked kane to return, i believe that there could have been one on the 15th anniversary of raw. The reason why i say that is because i think that fans would have appreciated seeing the masked kane for, probably, the last time ever to celebrate 15th anniversary. Maybe they could have also brought the biker undertaker back for that night only and reunited the old brothers of destruction. It could have been quite nice to see the old gimmicks return for one last time (even though we see small glimpses of the biker undertaker when wwe does the tour for 'tribute to the troops'). What do you guys think?

Well, there would have to be a good reason to bring the masked Kane back, and I can't think of any reason that wouldn't be completely ridiculous.

And the Undertaker Biker gimmick was just a temporary gimmick, it was neither the original one nor the one that Undertaker had the most success with, so please don't bring it back.

Unless they put him in a good angle leading to a world title shot, having Kane wear his mask would be completely pointless. In the last 2 years wearing the mask as a face, Kane was boring. Teaming with RVD and X-Pac was stupid. However, after he lost the mask, and went on the psycho rampage burning people and whatnot, he was interesting and kind of scary. As a babyface, Kane really sucks. He's flat and dull. But as a heel, Kane shines.

A good storyline to put the mask back on would be him as a face against someone like Kennedy or Chuck Palumbo. Kane loses an inferno match, but looks like he dies and gets completely burned to a crisp (Takes some time off for knee surgery). A few months later, someone starts decimating everyone, on all three shows, but nobody knows who it is. Then, during one of Undertaker's matches, Kane interrupts with new music, a new full-body costume, and a new mask (no hair though; that would be stupid). Kane destroys the Undertaker, which sets up a feud between the two. It culminates at Survivor Series in an Elimination Chamber. Kane wins a number one contender ship to Edge's Championship after eliminating almost everybody. He DESTROYS Edge at Armageddon to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Feuds with Edge until Royal Rumble where he retains and Undertaker wins the Rumble. The stipulation for Wrestlemania 25 is whoever loses is required to retire from wrestling forever. Kane loses, Undertaker is champion, and Kane is inducted in the Hall of Fame for 'Mania 26.

I do not think Kane should or will ever be masked ever again. It would be a rehash of an old angle. People say that Kane should be the monster that he once was and win the World Heavyweight Championship, but Kane doesn't even want to have the title. He would rather put over other talent. That's what I think the WWE should keep doing with Kane. So no, don't bring back "Masked" Kane.

I loved the masked Kane but I just don't see how they would ever build him back up to the a monster heel again like that and what type of angle they could do for him to put the mask back on to be honest.Although if we knew that Undertaker wasn't going to be in the world title picture soon, I would have loved to have seen Kane turn on Undertaker this past week on Smackdown and turn heel once again.

But I just don't see how they could someone put the mask back on him, since we've already seen him unmasked and all it would just be kind of pointless.

The fact is this...Kane is getting old. He has been around for a while and has been involved in some of the most helacious matches. He is in desperate need of knee surgery, as well. It is common knowledge that Kane is going to retire soon, just like Undertaker. I would love to see Kane finish of his career as a true blue champion. However, in order for this to happen, he desperately needs a heel change, and quick.

I would love to see Kane and Undertaker finish off their careers with a match against each other...Maybe even at Wrestlemania...However, we all know that Undertaker is going to leave the company after a major win...and if this match does occur at Wrestlemania, there is NO WAY that Kane will end his career with a win...

Or maybe team the two back up as the Brothers of Destruction, dominate the tag team scene, win the belts...Then have Kane turn on Undertaker...give them a few gimmick matches at some PPV's, and have it all end with a Buried Alive match, somehow ending with both of them being buried...Have some kick ass pyro and shit after both are buried signifying that they are retired for good...something to that nature...Maybe have the Undertaker's gong hit once and Kane's pyro go off right after, and on the titantron it can say RIP...something like that.

The only issue with that would be you can't really bring the two back for anything in the future...Or, you could, seeing as both are these phenom-esque characters.

They could try to have an angle where someone would bring the mask back into play and eventually drove him insane causing him to majorly beat the hell out of people (ie. intentionally injuring people a-la randy orton but with a bit more WTF in it). Have it lead to the mask consume him to the point where he needs to wear it (have a bit of a conscience yes/no angle for a few weeks), with a final flip at a PPV, and we have masked Kane back. Just a thought.

I think they reason people want masked Kane back is because it was a lot more an intimidating Character that was just as dominating, if not more than the Undertakers. He just got watered down to the point where they they had to take the mask off. All it'll take is a good storyline to get it back.

They could always bring back the masked Kane. Burn his face with an old-school fireball. His face will be scarred, thus having to don the mask once again. Or he could just start wearing it again. Doesn't have to make sense...it's wrestling...the same business that would hype the shit out of an angle for months..only to drop it like it never exsisted. That happened in WCW all the time. But then again, they're out of business.

I think the character Kane should be remasked. Let's face it, Glen Jacobs isn't doing a good job portraying Kane at this moment. He is not as muscular as he was during the masked days. So yeah, "re-burn" Kane's face (the best way would be having him lose an inferno match), and then have someone else (muscular and tall) to portray a re-masked Kane. And make this new Kane evil and a heel

Saying that Kane should be remasked and brought back as somebody else besides for Glen Jacobs is crazy. The unmasked Kane is still one of the most popular wrestlers in the business, and Glen Jacobs is one of the nicest guys backstage. He is universally respected, and I dont think WWE will ever replace him by making somebody else Kane. If you think of it, before Kane lost his mask, he really wasn't all that dominant either. When he first showed up, against Taker' he was a monster, that started to were off, so they took his mask off, again he was a monster, trying to put the mask back on to make him a monster would simply repeat the past. I think that the current unmasked Kane is just fine, he would be better as a heel, but he is too over and people cheer him whether he does something good or bad, so he will probably remain face for a while, which is fine with me.

id love to see the masked kane again. id like kane to finish out his career that way . there could be a story line out there to fit it, wrestling has no rules. the unmasked kane with just the bottom tights is to old and too boring. The masked kane with the entire outfit was an awesome gimmick, one scary son of a bitch. Id like to see him fued with the undertaker over the title because he does deserve it . mask kane back up and watch ppl start to cheer kane like never before. He deserves a good title run or two. and for the undertaker....biker gimmick.....no....lets bring back the lord of darkness. I was sooo scared of this gimmick as a kid, id love to see it one more time

I really wish Kane would wear his mask again. Every single costume change for him over the years revealed more and more skin, and I knew he would unmask eventually. It ruined the character for me, because he was such a cool, scary, mysterious character and had so much potential.

Anyway, I'd love to see Kane get into a feud with someone that results in him wearing his mask and old attire again, like getting burnt, or injured, and returning with the mask. I don't know, but I'd like something like that

It wont do much for him, he has passed that stage. Mabye if he had a kayfabe injury, and worked out more, lost bout 20 punds and sped up a lot more he would be greater than he was, I watched him at WM 21 and compared him to now, he was better then, But No it wont work anymore as with mask.

It's tough to pick up a gimmick after dropping it. I think Kane plays the character just fine without the mask. I definitely don't think the mask would propel him back up to main event levels. I saw him live at the Raw in Milwaukee last week, and it's time to face facts. He's older, slower, and just can't perform at the level he needs to. The mask won't help his deteriorating in-ring performance

He needs to be taken off TV for six months, he's been buried to mid card level when in the past he's proven to be a capable upper mid to main event performer. I remember when I first started watching the WWF. His character was one of the few that had me glued to the TV. I think they are making another See No Evil movie, that'll be a goodopportunity to repackage him a bit.

Actually, I prefer his character without the mask. I think Kane did a very good job of morphing from masked weirdo to lunatic. He should keep the mask off, but try to get himself into better shape.

He also needs to be pushed more, as I feel he still has a lot to offer. The fans like Kane now, but that needs to change. He needs to be hated and feared again. He needs to be a brutal, savage heel who sets people on fire again, and they need to stress how nuts he is.

I'm talking about HEEL, my friends. Have him pummel a female wrestler. Have him burn J.R. again. Setup an angle where he attacks some fake fans in the front.

To save him, they need to make him a horrible monster again. This can be done with or without the mask, but I still prefer him the way he is now. The mystery of the mask is over, as we all know what he looks like. It just can never be the same again.

I think it would be cool if kane did a storyline where everyone would be calling kane soft and not a monster anymore like when he was masked. Then he puts the mask on just for his matches and with the mask on he would be crazy and without it he would be all soft. It would be almost like Festus with the bell but instead kane with his mask. I think that would be very entertaining and he wouldnt have to wear the mask all the time.

Kane sucks. He was ruined once the mask came off and probably is just fine with the money he is getting that he could care less about any kind of push. Does he deserve it, depends on what goes on in the background but in the fans eyes, he sure does! In today's wrestling world, he sucks!

Well personally i think Kane having his Mask back would be a major boost for his character, they should do an angle where Kane gets taken out, like in a tag match with Undertaker, and Kane could get his butt kicked, and given the "career threatening" injury and then he could come back in a few monthes with the Mask and blame the whole injury thing on Taker and there could be a huge world title fued with Kane and Undertaker. The mask gives Kane that look, granted he is not the fastest guy in the world or the most fit but he is still intimidating and with that mask it just adds to it. He needs his mask and he needs to be heel otherwise he is just going to waste away.
