In short there were numerous number-crunching fuck ups. Points going missing on either side. However, while the points do not necessarily make their way back to the right person, most of the mistakes cancel each other out on team scores. So if the current score is incorrect, it is only wrong by one

It was proportional. I was screwed, no way around it. I had the CLEAR advantage when the rest of my team was eliminated and it was 4 vs. 1, but there was obviously a conspiracy to eliminate good ol' JGlass when the scores were halved and people mysteriously started voting against me.

I'd say my people are looking into what happened, but I have no people. I'm alone in the world, a wise sage living in a world infested with savages, and rather than accepting my gift of superior knowledge you'd rather turn me away and leave me out in the cold.
