I teared up at least three times during the finale of The Shield. While some may think that hurts my manly image, I say it's a true testament that I saved the tears for such a butch show. All those people who sobbed through Toy Story 3 or the last Harry Potter film need to nut up.

There have been two films that have made me tear up: I Am Sam and Mighty Ducks 2. I Am Sam... I have no excuse, but in Mighty Ducks 2 when Emilio Estavez gives the duck's fly together speech... man I got all teared up.

I also get choked up during Remember the Titans, but never teary. There's no crying in football.

I came very close to buying Season 1 of the Shield today. Then realised that it's cheaper on Amazon.

Also, my cinema sucks as I have to wait a further month before viewing True Grit.

The only decent cinema - by my exceptionally high standards - near me is a thirty minute train ride away. Went there yesterday to watch The King's Speech and it was sold out; swarming with old people. You know, ***** that actually remember the King. What do they need a movie about him for? I'll probably never see that movie now. I'm a busy man!

Could have gone to see 127 Hours but couldn't be bothered. I won't see it until it's on Blu-ray now.

In other news, I'm now watching Crazy Heart. It's actually rather good. Because of Jeff Bridges, obviously.
