If you've ever wanted to see Danny Trejo, Ray Liotta & Hornswoggle perform several dance numbers together, Muppets Most Wanted might be the film for you.

I'd have rated The Raid 2 higher if I hadn't dozed off for the first hour and the opening 20 minutes of Her made me chuckle several times. Shame they're both so fucking long.

Did you get round to watching the first Raid before seeing the 2nd? I don't think it will be that crucial really if you didn't but here's a brutal recap of what happened:

I am surprised at the length of the film but the reviews I've seen so far are still positive so I think it will be a fine way to kick off the Easter weekend on Friday.

I'd long forgotten what happened in the previous film. It didn't make much difference.

It's too long and it sags where there's talking but the action is brutal and well worth the effort of seeing it.

Don't get me started on the appropriate preamble:action ratio - it still hurts to think how badly Pacific Rim got it wrong. Cut half an hour of preamble, slap in another big action sequence and you're golden! Oh well.

I'll be seeing The Raid 2, Calvary and, if romance is in the air, The Double this week. I should point out that romance is rarely in the air for me. I don't even know if that's a saying.

Going to see captain america on tuesday. Opted for grand budapest hotel last week. Pretty good!

It's a powerful film that can make me feel feelings. It's a particularly powerful film that can make me feel pity for the Catholic church. I felt that The Guard could have benefited from being more macabre and this makes me feel justified.

Pretty similar thoughts when I saw Calvary the other day. Some parts were a little forced, and some of it needless, but it got me where it wanted me by the end. Gleeson was brilliant, no surprise, but some of the casting threw me off, namely Dylan Moran. Maybe I know him too well as a drunk to buy him as a rich drunk. Great ending though. Well worth the pennies.

The Guard is only ok. Or is it just me?

No, you're right. On the McDonagh brother rankings, it goes:

1) In Bruges
2) Calvary
3) The Guard/Seven Psychopaths

I had trouble buying Moran at first but his final scene was fantastic.

True, true.

Find myself agreeing with the list too, mostly. With Seven Psychopaths, I think the good parts are far superior to anything in the two have done, but there were too many bad angles and it was awful jumpy. Fun though. Calvary felt unbalanced too, at times. In Bruges is much more consistent, though I was a fan of The Dumb Waiter already. Being Irish, the Guard is a little too paddy for me.

I'll get out of your thread now anyway. Have a good one, fellas.

I feel like I'm the only one committed to the lists, Sam.

Stranger By The Lake has lots of cocks (If you're into that kind of thing. No judgments here), Spider-Man has lots of everything and lots of nothing at the same time.

I need to be unemployed again.

The original Amazing Spider-Man is on Sky Movies right now. I'm watching it, I'm hating it, I'm thinking I'm not gonna waste my time with a sequel. Peter Parker is such a cunt in this film.

I thought the first was good fun. I was fine with it being rushed because I'd seen the origin 10 years before. This one is the same. Jamie Foxx gets two scenes before he's turned into Dr. Manhattan. Dane DeHann gets about 5 before he turns into that guy. And don't even get me started on Paul Giamatti.

The stuttering thing got right on my tits and Aunt May put up with a lot more shit than she needed to.

At least I could buy that Tobey McQuire was a loser. In Amazing spider-man we got an attractive skater guy who fights bullies and who just happens to like science.

All in all, if a guy dresses up as a spider thing and punches non-spider things I'll get my moneys worth... But I really didn't care in the amazing.

You know Transcendence is going to be a stinker from the very second it starts.

Senior Screen, Sam. £3 a ticket. That's why my list is longer and I see more shit than you. Go on the dole or something and you could've seen Grudge Match too.

I'll be spending a tenner on The Raid 2 today and then, if I can be bothered, a further tenner on Starred Up. Still on in Leicester Square, it seems.

If I move to Stoke, can I stay in your loft/garage/pantry?
