Sam's Thread of Chattin' w/ Jake & Other Robust Subjects

Have you went to see The Gift yet, Sam? Wondering if it is worth the time. Was going to see it yesterday, but chose Pixels instead. While Sandler has slipped very far from his glory days, the film is a plus. 8 bit animation & Peter Dinklage had me sold from the get go. It was fun, but not as good as Inside Out.

  1. Mad Max: Fury Road ★★★★★
  2. Spy ★★★★
  3. It Follows ★★★★
  4. Whiplash ★★★★
  5. Inside Out ★★★★
  6. Slow West ★★★
  7. Ex Machina ★★★
  8. Jurassic World ★★★
  9. Ant-Man ★★★
  10. Song of the Sea ★★★
  11. Avengers: Age of Ultron ★★★
  12. Fast & Furious 7 ★★★
  13. Kingsman: The Secret Service ★★★
  14. Amy ★★
  15. Inherent Vice ★★
  16. The Gift ★★
  17. Big Hero 6 ★★
  18. Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol ★★

Now - now I've seen The Gift. I suppose the reviews are right - it is subversive. It subverts your expectations for a film to be interesting, or your expectations for a film that's all build to have a satisfying crescendo. The girlfriend spent much of it hiding under her coat nonetheless.

Solid shot im gonna try to see "Black Mass" soon after it comes out. Not necessarily at the cinema, but in general. My films so far this year

Avengers Age Of Ultron 4

Mad Max Fury Road 3 1/2

Kingsman Secret Service 3

American Sniper 3

Exodus Gods And Kings 3

Seventh Son 1 1/2

Jurassic World 1

Hasn't been a top notch year for me and the movies.

I had to Google what Black Mass was. I was hoping for something like The Wicker Man or The Blood On Satan's Claw. A gangster movie starring Johnny Depp with a new haircut? I don't know.

The next movie in the Sam playlist is probably Straight Outta Compton. Crazy motherfucker named Ice Cube. I'd rather not say with whom he's affiliated.

The girlfriend spent much of it hiding under her coat nonetheless.

This also curtailed my plans to show her the greats of the horror genre, though I do have one possible solution:

By all means, if you want to add kidnapping to your list of credentials. What section does that go under on a CV- skills or experience?

I feel as though our top ten matches lists are probably similar.

Listing from 10 - 1

Reigns Vs BS, Extreme Rules

Reigns Vs Wyatt Battleground

John Cena Vs Cesaro, RAW (you remember the one)

Reigns Vs Lesnar, WrestleMania

Reigns Vs Daniel Bryan, Fast Lane

Kevin Owens Vs John Cena, Elimination Chamber

Adrian Neville Vs Seth Rollins, RAW

Kevin Owens Vs Sami Zayn (1) NXT Takeover

Sasha Banks Vs Bayley NXT Takeover Brooklyn

Brock Lesnar Vs Seth Rollins Vs John Cena, Royal Rumble

I just straight up don't watch Raw. I did watch the Cena match with Cesaro and the Rollins match with Neville after they'd been praised to heaven and back but they didn't have the same impact as if I'd watched them live, or at least without the knowledge of the result.

I'd have an additional Cena match - versus Rusev, WrestleMania - and his one with Owens is borderline. The Elimination Chamber match had the right result, and it was genuinely surprising, but I was critical of it at the time.

All of those Reigns matches are, as you know, present.

The Boss versus Bayley is, and maybe it's too raw at the moment, maybe one of my top ten of all-time, so is definitely at the top of my list.

The only reason I wouldn't have Zayn/Owens I is because it still hurts too much.

Since you don't watch raw im going to assume you didn't see the Braun Stroman Vs Dean Ambrose match. I would seek it out if I were you, I think you would dig it.

All ill say, is Braun Stroman Vs Rey Mysterio is a match I need most in my life. Like immeadiately.

I can't be the only one who thinks he deserves a cheque or maybe just some sort of plaque for knowing who British actors are before they turn up in Game of Thrones.

The opportunity to see Straight Outta Compton passed me by largely because I couldn't be arsed.

I'll be absent for ten days or so from Saturday - I'll be flying to Boston. I hate flying but I already have my films picked out. I figure, between the flight there and the flight back, I have time for five, maybe six films. Fury Road, Inside Out, Furious 7, the second Avengers one and, shit, I forgot the last one.

His Max was very quiet, mate. Legend, though - not one but two melodramatic performances. Well, I'm assuming. A guess: he's not more toned down than the trailer suggests.

Really excited for Mad Max to finally be bumped off #1 on Sam's list by 12 Rounds 3: Lockdown after Sam sees it this weekend.

I bring these gifts, and lay them at your feet. Do as you will with them (zooming in probably the best and first step)

A clearer but less emotional involvement. To the left of the dude directly above her head (who incidentally, is the 6'4 JGoose)
