Sam's Thread of Chattin' w/ Jake & Other Robust Subjects

Nice. Furthering stereotypes for the good of the British people. Maybe more UFC announcers will say that Mancunians like Michael Bisping are "like something out of a Guy Ritchie movie" this way.

That her? If so, I like. Very much.

Yeah, that's her. She looks better in Satan's ****e and Fresh Faced Fuckers though. I will meet her and I will have sex with her. That's now my goal for the year.

How many hip hop albums do you own Jake? I've always wanted to know.

Hard to say, my CD collection is huge. I'd say I've got most of the big ones from NWA, Snoop Dogg, 2 Pac and all them fellas as well as all the shit Eminem, Lil Wayne, 50 Pence, etc put out. I buy albums for individual songs, so I've got lots of everything.

I just went to see The Princess and the Frog. An enjoyable romp.

I fell asleep 10 minutes in, I've been told it was crap, by the child.

Dunno if you guys watch NXT. They nailed the Manchester accent with Wade Barrett.

***** from Wigan and he failed terribly at that Mancuniana ccent.

I dont think I have ever anticipated a Jake reveiw of a DVD more

Another month at least until it's out here, but I could easily do my review now. ''Something, something, something, John Morrison is the most ovverated performer in wrestling today....if he so good then how come he's so average?......people only like him because he's handsome and he can flip.....nothing more than a man crush that people won't admit to.......Jeff Hardy carried him to his only quality matches..''

Oh, also, our most feared nightmares have been realized. Not ONLY is MITB gonna be all its own show now, but yes, ye verily, it shall be making up numbers at WrestleMania AS WELL

I actually had high expectations for it this year, I thought it'd be brimming with well pushed newer wrestlers. Morrison vs. Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Jack Swagger vs. Evan Bourne and then a couple of older wrestlers to hold it together. Instead it's like last years. When there's no clear cut winner then it's time to give it up, not make it into a PPV.

Saying that, I think Drew McIntyre will win it. He won't be in the match, but when everybody is layed out, selling a Shelton Benjamin move he didn't hit correctly, out comes McIntyre and takes the briefcase. Possibly even cashing it in later that evening after Edge has defeated Jericho. Maybe.

Y'know, makes sense. Technically, you wouldn't need to be in the match to win it, if you get the breifcase, you get the breifcase.

I see you rate Mcyntire now. Good.

No, no I don't. But they're not going to leave him off the card after name dropping that McMahon signed him again on Smackdown.

I hope he ends up being an injury replacement, so they dont cut that entrance short. He will have time to do the entire thing while everyone is on the ground selling that Shelton benjamin move.

I hope sheamus Vs Trips ends up being a no DQ match. May not be very interesting otherwise.

After Orton/HHH stunk up the show last year, I'm expecting the Sheamus/HHH match to be pretty good. The Game won't want to do it two years in a row.

It'd be awesome if everybody in the MITB is out cold then McIntyre's music hits and he casually takes three minutes to walk to the ring and he removes the case.

best case scenario IMO, and one that isnt too far off. If not, then who the fuck will win it? Christian? Please

Whatya think of Hart Vs Mcmahon?

or how WM is shaping up in general?

I like Christian, but I don't think he's a headliner or even an upper midcarder. Maybe in 2005 when he had a mini-feud with Cena, but not now.

Looking forward to it. It should create a ''WrestleMania moment'' This is how I think it will or should go.

Long entrances.
Lots of posturing from McMahon.
One punch from Bret (like after Montreal).
Sharpshooter.
Victory.
And maybe he'd humiliate McMahon by making him kiss his feet, in a nod to the Jerry Lawler feud from 1995.

or how WM is shaping up in general?

better than last year, but still meh.

MITB: Worthless concept.
Legacy Match: Three of the most boring wrestlers in WWE.
Undertaker vs. HBK: Saw it just last year.
Bret/Vince: Should be intresting.
Edge/Jericho: Jericho is the most overrated wrestler in the business today and Edge has looked awful since his return.
Batista/Cena: Will be the best match on the card, but I still saw it at SummerSlam 18 months ago.
Rey/Punk: Won't be given enough time.
Unified Tag Titles: Filler match, all would've made MITB more intresting.

I have always wanted Big Show in a MITB match. huge bumps galore.

I expect the same out of the Vince - Bret match. I am a bit scared for it. Bret takes a bump hard enough, he could literally die. His stroke which nearly killed him was brought on by simply turning his bike over in some soft grass

I don't think he's made of glass, but a stroke mid match would be great. It'd also be brilliant if he ''screwed'' Vince by not showing up.

I don't think he can legally wrestle as he got a pay out from Lloyds of London because he said he couldn't wrestle anymore. If he has a proper match he could be in big trouble. I think my match plan is about right.

Bret Hart dying live in the ring at WrestleMania 26 wouldn't really project the best media image.

And I don't know why, but the thought of Christian winning MITB leaves me unexcited.

Edit: And in other news, The Hurt Locker and whatsherface (Katherine Bigelow?) winning the Oscars made them just the little bit deader to me. Not to say I ever considered them particularly 'alive'.

So, I don't give shit if Linda McMahon wins that thing she's running for. I've said it time and time again, wrestling doesn't have enough deaths.

Because he's a mid carder and nothing more.

Still haven't got round to watching it. But the Oscars celebrate mediocrity so....glad Avatar didn't win.

I'm in a right pickle. Should I just get the original Toy Story on Blu-ray, or should I get both?

This way I get to keep my £34 too. No idea why the second one costs more. Jessie the Cowgirl is a fucking annoying character and should be locked away in a box forever. Cunt.

This makes sense. I love Boxsets.

I don't. They throw the organisation of my BDs into disarray. What's worse is how WWE BDs are unnecessarily thin - even the ones with two motherfucking discs in. And the storage capacity of Blu-rays is as such that you never actually need two discs. Why they keep doing it is beyond me.
