Rumor: Hogan Re-Signs with TNA?

i love and respect hogan but the longer he stays in the game esp. with a minor league team like TNA we are going to end up seeing the Billioniare ted skits with Sting and Ric FLair replacing savage, I'm still waiting for the Huckster to come out with his walker... and Flair to come out wearing a bra....

Flair's going to go out playing bleeding for dollars @ 90 at my local indy show... but TNA is pathetic... they should go with paul heymans idea of one legend for name value... In ECW it was terry funk... obviously for TNA it needs to be hulk hogan.

If this ends up being true and Hogan stays with TNA then I hope he spends more time putting over the product and less of him wasting time onscreen that could be used for getting younger guys over. No one (to my knowledge anyway) cares about Immortal. Hogan's main priority should be getting future stars over and helping TNA in other ways such as doing publicity appearances to get their name out to more people.

If he does end up staying, they need to completely rethink the angle he's a part of.

Assuming he's ousted at Bound for Glory and the company "returns" to Dixie Carter's control, they should have he and Bischoff on the outs with everyone in the back. All the members of Immortal lose interest and drift away now that they don't have any stroke, followed by the rest downright shunning them.

As such, they pick one single guy who's still sympathetic to them (whether it be Gunner or Abyss or someone else) and become their managers. Starting from the very bottom of the ladder, they help this guy work his way up to the main event scene, thinking if they have control of the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, they have leverage again.

This would take a solid year and would climax at next year's Bound for Glory.

At least that's how i'd book it.

So now we have a bit more news as it's been reported on this site that Hogan's contract option was picked up by TNA. Add to that Hogan announcing that Angle v. Roode will be the main event at BFG, which makes me wonder if his match with Sting will be the match preceding the main event. Then add in that their match is a no dq and you have it set up for multiple run-ins from members of Immortal, but wouldn't it be interesting if say, an A.J. Styles showed up, turned on Sting, and kept the power with Hogan and Bischoff. I'll admit I'm interested in the end result, but not in the match itself.

No matter who wins, its gonna suck either way. Sting wins, Dixie will be back on tv, tweeting about surprises(the latest, saying she'll be at BFG, ooohhh my, didnt see that coming!), wouldnt be shocked if she'd make Sting the "GM" or something like that.
Hogan wins, more stale $30,000 promos.

Don't quote someone who's partly right, and spew rubbish, tnas ratings havnt doubled, they went up a quarter since the channle switch (bravo, sky only to challenge, all tv services except the basic antena,) and at that, the ratings thing I saw showed it went up in viewers from 14-16 16-18 18-21 age gaps made for the jump, at 21 Iv watched wrestling all my life, and would consider myself more than a casual fan, my friends, who are the same age as me, dont care about hogan, it's more the (T.n.A) :D that attract them to IW not hogan, one of my freinds though he was dead untill he turned up last year, his name holds a certin amount of weight. You can paint shit red n yellow all you want, still shit,

Well I guess the article I read about TNA's ratings doubling over a 6 month period was written by a liar? It was just before TNA moved to Sundays in England and was cited as a big reason for the switch. That and the fact the fans wanted to see iMPACT! closer to the time it airs in the States. Even when TNA were on Bravo their ratings were a hell of a lot better with Hogan there than before he joined. I'm not saying everyone tunes in just to see Hulk Hogan but he's given that company so much more awareness.

Just look at what he's doing now for Bound For Glory. Had anyone seen BFG being talked about before on ESPN? I honestly don't know the answer but I'm guessing probably not. Hulk Hogan will always be the most famous name to ever come out of pro wrestling and a company like TNA and very lucky to have him.

On the actul subject, I had a glimmer of hope. There were going to get rid of him and bitchoff, russo and hire someone with more booking skills. J.R.. Cornette.. My little sister.. But if he's of tv it's a step in the right direction.. Because if J.R was incharge, BFG would b main evented by Y2J v AJ, Punk v KA, high quality matchs. With high quality stars..

And you accused me of spewing rubbish? Cornett was there before, no one was interested. JR? Lol. What makes you think he could do that? I'm sorry but Hulk Hogan and Sting are higher quality stars than AJ, Jericho or Punk. And Angle's in the main event defending his World Title.
