Round 1, Mexico:
The British Bulldogs - Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid
vs.
Bart Gunn & The Great Khali

No spam and no flaming.

Mexico rules are identical to WWE rules except:
- Count-outs go up to twenty, not ten
- Piledrivers are illegal (I shit you not)
- Removing your opponent's mask (if he wears one) results in a DQ
- Every match is two out of three falls

Two-time finalists and no-time winners The British Bulldogs take on one half of the Smoking Gunns and the gargantuan Great Khali.

Wha.... For realskies? Hmmm, I mean this is a hard one. Kayfabe and in real life, Khali is probably one of the biggest wrestlers of all time.

Kayfabe and in real life, the British Bulldogs are one of the greatest tag teams of all time. Then again, have they ever participated in a Brawl For All?

My vote goes to the Bulldogs.

Bulldogs all the way. They'll focus on the weaker Gunn and isolate Khali. Theres no way that one of the best tag teams ever loses to a mismatch of two shit wrestlers.

Bulldogs have got the speed on Khali and the strength on Gunn, they wouldn't be defeated, my vote goes to the Bulldogs.

Ya, this is pretty much a no brainer. The Bulldogs were an awesome tag team and have loads of experience together. The could beat pretty much anyone, especially the team of The Great Gunn.

I actually somewhat enjoy Khali, but he has never really ever wrestled a significant tag team match. He is slow as shit, and the Bulldogs would take advantage of that. Gunn is pretty awful as well, he does nothing for me. Khali might brain chop them to one fall, but I seriously doubt that they'll win.

I think the British Bulldogs shouldve received a bye as this pretty much what it is. The British Bulldogs are one of the greatest tag teams of all time and they going against Bart Gunn and a giant who cant move his legs. Really this is a no brainer

As good a wrestler as Bart Gunn was, I don't think he will really be able to carry Khali through this one. There is one team here who are candidates to win the whole thing, and that is the British Bulldogs. In all fairness, Bart was a good tag team wrestler, and probably the better of the Gunns in my opinion, but the chemistry of the other two will overcome that of him and Khali easily. Individually, Davey Boy Smith was probably powerful enough to do the biz over Khali and Dynamite Kid is better than Bart Gunn. Bulldogs win.

This is a tough one for me and this doesn't mean I'm picking Gunn/Khali over the British Bulldogs. If they can isolate Gunn, then it won't be a problem but what happens if he gets the tag to Khali. Khali at his peak only lost to the Undertaker and that was a Last Man Standing Match. Do the British Bulldogs have enough to keep Khali down for the victory or will Khali do something stupid to get his team disqualified? I'm thinking the latter so I will pick the British Bulldogs to advance.

Khali is the odd man out as the one person not in a legit tag team. However his huge size more than makes up for it. Given my criteria I have to pick the Bulldogs here as they were the much better actual team

The Bulldogs are going to win easily, and I think that if it was a one fall match Khali and Gunn have a chance but there is no way Khali can go 2 out of 3 falls, and both the Bulldogs are better then Gunn, hence the Bulldogs roll through to round 2.

It's here! It's here! It's here, it's here, it's here! Tournament time!

Well, this is about as easy of a match up as you'll find in this tournament. On one hand we have one of the greatest tag teams of the 80s in the British Bulldogs, on the other hand we have probably the worst in-ring performer of this decade in Khali alongside the guy who got knocked out by Butterbean. Real toughie here, huh?

Bulldogs win this one easily. Matilda interferes for the win.

Khali can work well in a tag team as he wont need to be in the ring that much, and when he ever gets the hot tag he can do damage, however I dont think him and Gunn are good combination, and they got a terrible draw in the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are going to make a deep run in the tourney and Gunn and Khali arent going to stop them.

Hard to vote against The Great Khali here, but I have to with my British Bulldogs. They worked great as team. They could use their speed laced with power to take down Khali, knocking him to the ground, and focus on Bart Gunn. Then, with Khali getting back onto the apron, Bulldogs could once again knock him off, giving them 5 more minutes to work on Gunn, then pinning him.

I could actually see an argument for the thrown together team if this were Billy, but this is going to be a massacre. The Bulldogs are FAR too intelligent to try to beat Khali, but there's no way Gunn stands a chance against either one of them. The Smoking Guns were perhaps the most useless tag team champions ever and Bart was just a waste of air. When Billy Gunn is the better wrestler, you know you're in trouble. Anyway, yeah this is a destruction of Bart as the Kid gets Khali to chase him while Davey gets the pin.

I got Davey Boy and Dynamite here. They were one smart tag team in the ring. They keep Bart Gunn in and try to avoid Khali getting action. And if Khali does, they work on the legs and chop him down. Hell, I think Bulldog has the strength the drop Khali with a running powerslam. If not, he sure as hell can drop Bart Gunn with one. Bulldogs win here.

I have to agree with Theo Mays on this one, and the Bulldogs are just too smart, and I dont think the Great Khali is one intelligent man. Plus Gunn was the weaker have off his tag team, and will be destroyed whenever he is in the ring.

I'm going with the Bulldogs (obviously), but I'll even give it a funny ending. Instead of Dynamite literally running circles around the slow guys, I'll go with Bulldog just tossing them outside, and letting the ref count to 20. There's no way either of those guys is fast enough, or technical enough, to beat the Brits. This should be the first of many wins for them going forward...

As the polls close - oddly, without my vote - I've got to say that the right boys won. Why? Well, you obviously haven't been paying attention; either to common sense or to anything anybody has said in this thread.

All the same, I'm surprised that Gunn and Khali didn't get any votes, no matter how insincere they might be. Khali is a former world champion, and a dangerous one at that.

I’m going to have to go with the established team here. It’s always an advantage to already know your partner and everything about them in the ring. It’s even more of an advantage to have experience with that partner and winning Championships would prove that theory.
