Jeez, this shouldn't even be a match. We should all just give Kurt Angle a buy into the second round, because the Headbangers were terrible, just god awful. Kurt Angle is arguably going to be the wrestler of the decade, and he is facing one of the biggest jokes of last decade. Well Mr. Sam, get the Kurt Angle club ready, because he is a shoe in for round 2, he'll have a potentially tough matchup against KENTA in round 2.

he'll have a potentially tough matchup against KENTA in round 2.

Yeah, if anybody who's never watched ROH or NOAH figures out who the fuck he is, lol. This'll beat Diesel's and KKB's record because Thrasher will die (yes, die) of blood loss before he even reaches the arena, that's how dominant Kurt Angle will be. The only way anyone will vote against Angle is if that guy who purposefully tries to sabotage these turns up. If he's reading this: kid, you're on thin ice. At least, I think it's one guy.

I better inform everyone at campaign headquarters!

Psicosis was an amazing cruiserweight, probably one of the best WCW had to offer. His matches against Juventud, Ultimo Dragon, and Eddie Guerrero to name a few were some of the BEST I've seen. He's got great, classic matches, and still gets no glory when the best cruiserweights are spoken of.

Psicosis after a 32 minute brawl with a 450 splash =)

This is a really hard match as has been pointed out, as CM Punk could match up with Psicosis, but we also take into account the years of experience that Psicosis has over Punk. Punk has a big following by people that have no idea why he is liked by a large group of people. Psicosis will lose this based on the exposure of people coming in and voting for the Hot name in WWE who is being booked wrong.

This is one of the easiest matches to pick. Chavo despite having the Pedigree does not get it done to the extent of every other member of his family. If it was Chavo Classic then I would be tempted to vote for Chavo. But going up against the Dream, Chavo gets a Bionic Elbow right between the eyes. Dusty wins this based on his legend status alone.

If there is a bigger spot monkey then Jeff Hardy, it's Shane McMahon. The guy shouldn't probably be in this tournament. He's only been good at falling or jumping off high objects. While impressive, it's utterly worthless, oh and he can do a Van Terminator, again, impressive, but not wrestling.

KENTA is bad ass, legit bad ass. He's going to be tough for Kurt Angle to face in round two.

Yeah, Chavo isn't as terrible as he is made out to be, but he certainly isn't as good as his last name would suggest he is. Dusty Rhodes simply isn't as good as he is made out to be either. He's decent on a mic, and can be brutal, but not the great workign man that everyone thinks he is. I think that Dusty has enough to take down Chavo Guerrero though.

Austin Aries is good, but he's unproven. You have to be able to do something in a federation that has some weight, and at this point, ROH is simply not on that level yet. If he would have stuck it out with TNA and established himself some more, then he would possibly win this match. Morton was succesful in a big time federation during it's hey day. Sure, he was more of tag specialist, but he was certainly capable of getting it done in the singles realm. I think this is a good match, but a match Aries shouldn't win at this point in his career.

Yeah, I see this as another match where a guy is going to win based upon his current exposure. Psicosis was bad ass back in the day when Cruiserweights were a feature part of the wrestling business. Is CM Punk a better ring wrestler, probably, but Psicosis isn't a small cruiserweight, and he's damn experienced in the ring. Punk could win this match, but not at this point.

James is terrible, beyond terrible. I mean honestly, the guy hasn't done shit worth a damn in the ring. He was the beneficiary of being apart of the crappy version of DX, and being able to do a pretty solid Michael Buffer. Oh yeah, he also was cool and wore south park t-shirts. James talks, but doesn't back it up.

Baba on the other hand is a legend in the business, and pretty damn good for a big man to boot. A vote for James is a vote for insanity.

Like X said, God and Dean Malenko are synomous with one another when you are talking Technical Wrestling. Dean Malenko was labeled as a vanilla midget. The problem is, if there was a shoot match with any of the people that called him that, Malenko would humble and embarass the shit out of them. Malenko is a wrestling god, Necro Butcher is collecting checks from Indy promoters, take your choice.

You really can't go wrong with either choice. Mascaras is a legend and rightfully so in Mexico. Hell, the guy was way past his prime ten years ago, and had a pretty decent showing in the Royal Rumble. Snuka on the other hand is a legend in the business. The guy can be barbaric or the nicest guy in the world. I'm going with Snuka. The guy was tough as nails, and crazy as hell too.

This one is hard to call. People site Snuka as an influential high flyer, and he possessed both athleticism and power. Mascaras was legendary in Mexico, but he also was the major influence on Sayama when he donned the Tiger Mask. Sayama went on to write the book on super jr. aerial wrestling. I'm going with the man of one thousand masks.

I'm really not sure why Snuka is so popular. He was an ok wrestler, if you're being nice. But other than that I see no reason for his legend status. Not terribly original. Probably only known for this dive off the cage. Why hasn't there being a BO Snuka DVD? Because nobody really gives a shit.

Dusty is terrible. How the hell did he get his reputation? He's like a fat Rock. Gimmicky moves and nothing else. Terrible. He must be easy to carry in the ring. That is the only explanation that I can come up with for some of his good matches. Chavo is solid. Nothing spectacular. But he's not bad, which Dusty is.

AMEEEEERRIIIICAAAAANNNN.....DREEEEAAAAAMMMM

would be the music playing after this match. Chavo has always been solid, but never anything special. Dusty, on the other hand, has great charisma, decent manuevers, has cut some of the all time classic promos ever made, and had one of the most legendary, brutal feuds in history, with Ric Flair. Dusty FTW for sure.

Fuck CM punk lol. at least in this. psicosis was fuckin amazing back in the day, and a LOT of CM punks matches are absolutely boring, as psicosis NEVER put on a match that was at least moderately entertaining. Great selling, great spots, great everything. One of the absolute best Luchas of the modern era. His matches with Juvi Guerrera, and rey mysterio, and Dean Malenko, were classic things of beauty. Oh how I miss the days....

somone who was apparently taking drugs voted for thrasher. which is incideous. THIS is the biggest mismatch in the tournament, bar none. Kurt Angle dominates, and breaks the record, and thrashers ankle. good fucking night..

I can understand the vote to thrasher being a comedy vote. Kurt Angle dominates this match mentally before it starts. And guess what the towel is thrown before the bell. that is how dominant Kurt is right now. However going up against KENTA next round is going to be a tougher choice than this one.

Kurt Angle, no problem. He is one of the best workers I have ever seen. Him in TNA was a great way for them to go, and got them a lot more fans. He has had some great matches, one that comes to mind is at Wm 21 with Shawn Michaels. Angle would dominate this whole match, no question. His technical wretling ability to second to few, if any.
