Batista aligning with Stephanie and HHH could draw nuclear heat. The marks and smarks alike would be infuriated beyond belief, for different reasons of course. But everybody would boo.

I'd actually like to see it. Have Batista, with Stephanie and HHH allowing/encouraging it destroy Bryan and injure him and then keep Bryan away for a few months. That way when he returns and beats Batista for the title at Summerslam, and finally wins the title, the story comes full circle. Bryan would get an insane pop, the Authority get their comeuppance, and Bryan gets his run.

That might have been the initial plan for Bryan all along, but once Batista came back & failed to pass the gag test with the fans at the same time that Bryan exploded, they may well have been forced to move forward Bryan's payoff from Summer-Slam to WM.
