Ray Lewis To Retire After Season

One of the best to ever play his position and one of the best football players ever! Hopefully its not a one and done for Baltimore in the playoffs, doubt they'll make it to the superbowl but you never know.

Damn, no more epic pre-game speeches. :(

Great player, and Lewis has to be a first ballot hall of famer.

Hall of Famer. Great player. Topped only (maybe) by his ability to fire any team up with his words. For anyone who's never heard a Ray Lewis pre-game speech, look one up.

What a shame that he's going out after playing so little this season.

One of the best linebackers ever and a first ballot hall of famer. This is also a big blow to Baltimore's D gonna be tough to find someone as good as him next year.

The best linebacker of this era and top three of all time (I'd put him at number one). A sure fire first ballot HOFer. His pregame speeches could get me pumped up to watch paint dry. He will surely be a great success in whatever he decides to do after pro football whether it's being a coach, analyst, motivational speaker, etc.. I picked the Ravens to win the Super Bowl before the year started and while it isn't looking good for them to go that far, I'm sure as hell going to be rooting for them.

Not right away. His son won't be there forever, maybe when his ESPN contract expires.
at that point, I wouldn't be surprised if he decides to stay an analyst and watch his son in the NFL.

And he has other kids. By the time they are all out of college, it will be 2025ish. He said in his press conference that he wanted to spend time with all his kids, not just his oldest who is going to Miami.

Great player. You can't think of the Ravens without thinking of him.
It will be nice to see when he gets into the hall of fame.
