Del Rio would have been perfect. Credible heel that no one cares about so he has nothing to lose. Have Cena annihilate him and end the show with Alberto in a broken heap and Cena slowly realizing what he did. It'd be even better if he would have gotten released tomorrow instead, as they could use the beating to write him off TV and say that Cena went too far and ended a man's career.

Problem is Cena doesn't look so possessed cheering his teammates on from the apron. I'd prefer he'd be colder. Just like he was during the 1v1.

I just don't think Cena has any style of charisma that displays intensity. brock looks intense. brock works intense. cena just looks like he goes through the motions imo. and i've thought this since day one.

i.e. you can't go on a violent streak and then go hug a kid lol

but that is what i guess sells. just doesn't make a compelling product to people over 15

That would only make sense if:

A) Cena was going to be written off of TV.

B) Cena was going to get a huge change in character.

Doubt either will happen, so I guess a much closer brawl with Cena coming up short would be the way to go.

Anyways, I am totally looking forward to Cena vs Lesnar 3 at NoC after tonight.

Right on. As the match went along I felt dirtier and dirtier for defending it. The choice of Orton would've played well, too, because Orton is one of Cena's toughest rivals.
