RAW 3/13. Wrestlemania is soon, so they kinda care.

He was only generic because he never friggin said anything. Everybody should be given a mic and 5 minutes every now and again. Unless your name's Kalisto.

Dudes talking just to talk isn't going to fix anything. In fact, if a guy flubs it, like Kalisto, it can be damn near career suicide. Talking should only happen when it has purpose.

I think from the time we started seeing Emmalina promos and now Emma promos... we will be told for roughly 6 months straight that some form of Emma is coming.

Talking develops character and adds personality. Otherwise you end up with high-flying face generic guy who gets lost in the shuffle. If a guy flubs it again and again, then go ahead and take the mic out of his hands. But you have to at least give people the chance. One of the reasons ECW was so deep character wise was because everybody was given mic-time. Your point does kind of stand in the context of the overly scripted WWE environment though.

In ECW, they got mic time in the midst of a feud. Paul was good at booking feuds for basically his whole roster, though.

Well sometimes. Look at people like Public Enemy and Stevie Richards though, guys who basically had no business getting over got extremely over because they were given freedom to be creative. All Buh Buh Ray Dudley said for I don't even know how long was "Mah name is Buh-Buh-Buh" and that got him over. Like I said though, those guys were allowed to say almost whatever they wanted. Now even if you give someone a mic, they read a script so it's kind of a moot point really.

Jericho was great as usual. This shows been not that great. Another bunch of rematches. Bring on Mania and then the Draft and things will change for a few weeks.

At this point I think everyone just wants to get through with WrestleMania so we can have the draft. Gotta "shake things up" eventually right?

When you have to produce as many hours of live television and deal with advertising dollars that number in the millions, scripting is very neccesary. The WWE has to attempt to be a lot of things to a lot of different groups of people.
