Can you explain to me why smarks get bent out of shape about "selling" when talking about who they like and why they like them? I understand perfectly why selling is important for telling certain stories in the ring. But it's not something I worry about. It's not like I have a check-list with pre-set criteria I'm looking for when deciding whether or not I like a wrestler. I either gravitate to someone or I don't. Why does it seem to me like most smarks over-think who they like and don't?
Well personally I've hated Davey Richards solely because of times when his no selling got preposterous. I don't always hate no selling(Hell i defended Ambrose/Rollins 30 minute aftermath of spamming finishers) but Davey's is so unbelievable and he contributes it all to his "Strong style". the moment that irked me most was when he completely no sold a superplex, standing up and suplexing Eddie Edwards out of the ring. Another moment was when he used a piledriver as a transition move to a fishermen suplex. I was wrong in mentioning Roderick Strong but a lot of his matches irritate me due to the no selling. The guys whole deal is backbreakers and some of them are pretty harsh(He did a sidewalk slam to Michael Elgin on the exposed top rope turnbuckle that looked painful) but most of his opponents completely ignore what has been done when the commentators constantly mention it. Eddie Edwards? Just flat out no charisma whatsoever.
I've never put much thought into wrestlers i like and don't like. There's not many on the WWE roster that i hate anyways.
