PWF Answers Wrestling Questions

Other than Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan, Ted Dibiase,Jake Roberts and the tag-teams it was mediocre.

You've never seen anything about the Golden Era so shut up you idiot! Go learn something and comeback after that - there are people like Ricky Steamboat, The Honky Tonk Man, The Undertaker, Jimmy Snuka and a hell lot of more of great classic talented guys, I prefer a lot more to watch a Jake Roberts promo than a CM Punk promo, or a Perfect match than a Bryan match (ok, i'm stretching, but feel me). Do some work, and do not answer at anything wrestling related without giving proper back up for the trash you spill. [/thread]

I liked Ricky Steamboat when did I say anything about him?

In fact, I can't even watch anything before 1998 these days. It's just so fucking boring.

Other than Roddy Piper, Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Ted Dibiase,Jake Roberts and the tag-teams it was mediocre. NWA/WCW was better.

This is intresting.5 singles stars and the tag teams were worth remembering.Let's break it down era by era.
The Bret Hart Era:Bret Hart,HBK,Yokozuna,Diesel(to an extent). And the rest i can't even remember.
Attitude Era:Steve Austin,The Rock,NOD,The Corporation,D-X,E&C,Hardy Boyz.
Ruthless Agression:SD 6.And the rest was crap.
PG/Reality/Social Media Era:John Cena,Randy Orton,CM Punk.
So out of all era's only the AE had a better roster than Golden Era.You were saying? Also i asked another question, why did you put Stone Cold Steve Austin out of your GOAT list?

Who cares about what he thinks? In my mind 1997 was a year that stands out in the books as much as the Attitude Era because of the Montreal Screwjob for instance. But 1992-till 1997ish it was called the New Generation Era, not the Golden Era, but I grant him that those years or some how crappy in the WWF, however WCW had it going great.

Before 1990's wrestling was great, it had at least way more fans that wasn't complaining and crying for everything they did.

Top 5 promo cutters in any promotion of...to give you a fighting chance, let's narrow it to the last twenty years.

I reserve the right to veto your list, and call you a moron and state you don't know what you're talking about should I feel you got it wrong.

Maybe because he is in my "Top 10 Greatest wrestlers of all time" list?

To be fair, the internet didn't exist before 1990.

1997 is one of my favorite years in wrestling especially the Steve Austin, Bret Hart rivalry. Wrestlemania 13 sucked though.

1. The Rock
2. Ric Flair
3. Mick Foley
4. Roddy Piper
5. Steve Austin

Your thoughts on The Shockmaster?

Hilarious.:lmao:

Suppose you're Vince Mcmahon. If you were given the choice of trading three superstars with TNA,whom would you bring in?And whom would send to TNA in exchange? It has to be a fair trade.I mean you can't exchange trent barretta or any low midcard talent with a top tier talent.

If you could build the Mania XXIX main event matches using the current roster and guys who we expect back for this years mania (Rock, Taker and Lesnar) what would your 2 world title matches and any other main event type matches look like?

Please explain how professional wrestling evolved into different products in the USA, UK, Japan, and Mexico due to respective geographies and cultures.

For making me laugh I will attempt to answer this question - but I'll do the differences between puro and WWE, since puro has a larger presence on the board.

I know puroresu broke off of wrestling in the United States in the 50's and 60's when international stars like Lou Thesz would travel to Japan and work. The style of puro was basically the same as the product in the United States up until the creation of the WWWF and AJPW and NJPW. That's why "gajins" like Brody, Hansen, Andre , and Hogan were so popular; they knew how to work the strong style because it was similar to what they had been doing in the 70's.

I said in another thread that the primary differences between the psychology of puro and WWE wrestlers are cultural. WWE fans want to see matches that look like realistic fights - and i'm not talking UFC - I'm talking about the stuff you'd see on Bum Fights or Worlds Dumbest. Hogan and Austin embodied that brawler style that the fans really wanted to see.

On the flip side I believe puro became influenced by the domineering presence of manga and anime to the point where the Japanese fans wanted guys like Misawa and Kobashi to resemble shonen stars. Watching two men no sell high impact moves for 30 minutes would have not made any sense even back in the 50's and 60's, so it's logical that this is what happened.

I don't like old wrestling, I'll openly cop to that. I find it incredibly boring. Though I should have said 96 instead of 98. It's just like trying to watch old basketball games or football games. The players just aren't as athletic as they are today and the production values suck compared to today's.

We've gone from one extreme to another now. It used to be chubby white guys with very little athleticism working slow paced matches, yet telling good stories to keep the fans engaged. Nowadays, we have highly athletic guys who can't tell a fucking story to save their lives. Both are utterly unwatchable to me.

Why are you such a cock head?

Seriously, were both of you parents cockheads? Just one parent? Can cockheadedness skip a generation? Is cockheadness a recessive or dominant gene? Can someone get plastic surgery to undo cockheadedness? How much does that cost? Is there an industry for people who want to be more cockheaded? Did you ever get a herpe on your cockhead? Does your cockhead grow when you scratch your cockhead? Do people confuse you with cokeheads? Are you or have you ever met a cockhead who was also a cokehead? Has anyone ever said you are indecent and made you wear a hat?

I'd remind you that you haven't answered my previous question, but it'd be pointless. You're getting fucking crucified. It'd be like if I started a thread called "Diet Soda Answers Knitting Pattern Questions", because I haven't a fucking clue about that topic.

Still hasn't answered mine about Seth Rollins being a second rate Jimmy Jacobs knockoff, either....

This place just flies to extremes at any chance doesnt it?

This guy has no clue what he's talking about, KB knows too much.

Wheres the "ask the everyman" thread??

Why doesn't someone create a thread with just "We Answer Wrestling Questions!" and who knows maybe we can get onto something here.

Oh and btw Haiku 2002-2003 has mixed reviews so my opinion on the year is valid so I was kind of right, so YEY!! Now I just feel empty, with no real purpose here.
