Puro fans, UNITE!

Hmm. Alright. If Okada starts working well, I can accept it.

Does he still look like a fucking idiot, with his chains and his DBZ hairdo and whatnot?

It's funny to me...The Rainmaker...LOL. Of all the gimmicks to rip off why The Pope?

Prince Devitt was able to beat Davey Richards to retain the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title and Hirooki Goto was able to beat Yujiro Takahashi to retain the IWGP Intercontinental Title. I'm really not surprised by the fact that both of these guys retained and am actually quite glad that they both retained.

Here's the results from NOAH 3/18/12
1. Taiji Ishimori beat Harlem Bravado
2. Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Genba Hirayanagi beat Katsuhiko Nakajima & Satoshi Kajiwara
3. Maybach Taniguchi beat Kento Miyahara
4. Kensuke Sasaki beat Mohammed Yone
5. GHC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Title: Kotaro Suzuki & Atsushi Aoki (c) beat Super Crazy & Ricky Marvin (24:11)
6. GHC Tag Team Title: Jun Akiyama & Akitoshi Saito (c) beat Keiji Muto & Go Shiozaki
7. GHC Heavyweight Title: Takeshi Morishima (c) beat Naomichi Marufuji
After the Heavyweight title match MAYBACH Taniguchi came out and attacked Morishima with a chair. Also, in NJPW Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima retained the IWGP Tag Titles defeating Yoshihiro Takayama & Lancer Archer. Afterwards Toru Yano & Takashi Iizuka attacked the champions and Toru Yano stole the Tag belts.

The NOAH Global Tag League Teams have been announced.
1. Jun Akiyama & Akitoshi Saito
2. Takeshi Morishima & Katsuhiko Nakajima
3. Mohammed Yone & Naomichi Marufuji
4. Go Shiozaki & Tamon Honda
5. Yoshihiro Takayama & Maybach Taniguchi
6. Kensuke Sasaki & Kento Miyahara
7. Eddie Edwards & Colt Cabana
8. Shinjiro Otani & A mystery partner

All in all the NOAH card looks pretty decent and I'm not surprised at all to see all the champions retain. It looks like we'll be getting MAYBACH vs Morishima sometime in the future which will be a fun match up. I'm really glad TenKoji retained mainly do to the fact that I CAN NOT stand Takayama at all. The Global Tag League participants all look pretty good and I'm interested as to who Shinjiro Otani might bring in for his tag team partner.

So it's been reported that NOAH's GM Ryu Nakata and Counselor Haruka Eigen had ties with the Yakuza from 2003-2010, working with them to sell tickets to the companies live events. This will seriously impact the already financially unstable NOAH as this has gotten a lot of public attention and in the eyes of the Japanese people being linked with the Yakuza is a major no no. NOAH's President Akira Taue has already responded by demoting both Ryu Nakata and Haruka Eigen. They both will remain in the promotion, but neither of them will have any power. NOAH will be developing and introducing new regulations for the company. Finally, the will be implementing means to counteract organized crime and will holding a special course for employees and wrestlers to make sure this never happens again.

With NOAH already being financially unstable I believe this will have a huge impact on NOAH. At this point in time I really think in about 2-3 years NOAH will be gone.

That really doesn't shock me tbh. The Yakuza's pretty powerful in Japan and look at how tied up with PRIDE the Yazuza was. Doesn't surprise me that they're willing to support puro financially too.

La Sombra vs Hirooki Goto
Karl Anderson vs Shinsuke Nakamura
Togi Makabe vs Minoru Suzuki
Tetsuya Naito vs Hiroshi Tanahashi

The only thing that surprised me was that Karl Anderson beat Hiroyoshi Tenzan. Which was a HUGE shocker to me as I thought for sure Tenzan would win there. As for the second round matches I am greatly looking forward to La Sombra vs Hirooki Goto and Tetsuya Naito vs Hiroshi Tanahashi. Last time Naito faced Tanahashi they had one of my favorite puro matches from last year. So I have high expectations for that match.

Here's also the results from AJPW Jr. Heavyweight Tag League
1. Masayuki Kono defeated Masanobu Fuchi

Here's the matches for the Semi Finals of the New Japan Cup on 4/8/12
1. Togi Makabe vs Hirooki Goto
2. Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Karl Anderson

Well I'm really shocked that Anderson pulled off the upset against Nakamura. Looks like New Japan is taking Anderson very seriously as a single's wrestler since Bernard left. I'm also slightly shocked that Togi defeated Suzuki.

Also, Tajiri announced that he will be starting a new promotion called "Wrestling New Classic" and it's first two shows will be on 4/26/12 and 5/24/12. Two matches have been announced for the first show which are TAJIRI vs AKIRA (winner faces Dave Finlay on 5/24) and Kana & Mio Shirai vs Shuri & Makoto.

Indeed. I don't think Goto will win though. But, if he did I wouldn't mind it at all. He's a great wrestler and is easily one of my top 5 New Japan heavyweight wrestlers.

New Japan and All Japan have just announced that they will be putting on a joint show on July 1, 2012. This year is the 40th anniversary for both promotions, and with this major point it was decided that the two promotions will be holding a commemorative show. The plans for right now are two have both the IWGP Heavyweight Title and the AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Title defended on the show. Also, they are planning to have many dream matches between AJPW talent and NJPW, but no matches have been announced as of today. Well looks like I'll have to mark down July 1 on my calendar as this will more then likely be a great show.

Kaz Hayashi & Shuji Kondo defeated BUSHI & SUSHI to win the AJPW Junior Tag League. Afterwards Kaz Hayashi & Shuji Kondo challenged Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuji Okabayashi for the All Asia Tag Team Championships. Also, KAI made it known that he wants a match against Kenny Omega for the Jr. Heavyweight Championship.

It had also been announced that starting May 1 BUSHI will be a temporary member of NJPW through a talent rental between NJPW and AJPW. I am extremely excitedy about this as BUSHI has been one of my favorite Jr. Heavyweights in AJPW and I can't wait to see him face Prince Devitt!

It's been announced that Dragon Gate and DDT will be holding a joint show on June 5th at Korakuen Hall. I'm actually really looking forward to this and hope they have a lot of good matches.

First off due to the fact that Davey Richards was involved in a car accident in the United State he was not able to make it to the 5/3/12 NJPW show and was not able to defended the Jr. Tag Titles causing him and Rocky Romero to vacate the Tag Titles. Secondly, here are the results from the 5/3/12 NJPW Show
1. YOSHI-HASHI, Jado & Tomohiro Ishii defeated Strongman, Captain New Japan & Tama Tonga
2. TAKA Michinoku & Taichi defeated Ryusuke Taguchi & KUSHIDA
3. Jushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask IV defeated Rocky Romero & Gedo

9. IWGP Heavyweight Championship Match: Kazuchika Okada defeate Hirooki Goto

I'm really glad that Okada won and I'm looking forward to watching this match. Also, I'm kinda surprised that Low Ki defeated Prince Devitt and I wonder who will win the BOSJ and end up facing him.

KOTA IBUSHI HAS RETURNED! He returned at the 5/4/12 DDT Show and had a match against El Generico which El Generico won. Afterwards Kota Ibushi cut a promo saying even though he suffered defeated he's glad to be back after being injured for 8 months. He's looking forward to the big DDT Show in August and had his eyes set on reclaiming the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship that he never lost.
