Pick your Crap: Khali or Batista

I would have to say Batista. I used to be a big Batista fan in 2005 but now that I watch his matches, I've just come to the realization that he isn't that good. I don't think he is terrible because his mic skills are decent at best and his wrestling is a bit meh. But I think he does everything better than Khali.

I would have to say their both pretty bad. But I would pick Khali as the worst. The WWE can do more with Batista (like a heel-turn would be nice) if that happens it opens more doors from him. Also the fans love him. Khali is just plain horrible. He has a limited move set and when he's on the mic I cringe. The only good part of Khali is when his interperter is in the match and gets pummelled. I think most fans in the arena would pick seeing Batista wrestle over Khali you can see that just with the reactions. I have watched matches with Khali where there is complete silence from the crowd that is not a good sign.

I actually felt like standing up and giving Khali a round of applause when he defeated Stevie Richards the other week. It wasn't a wrestling match, it was a chokebomb, so utterly pointless and wasteful yet I couldn't help but laugh. Thank goodness WWE doesn't treat him too seriously however unlike Batista.

Batista is by far worse, he just doesn't work at all. He's just some Goldberg wannabe and his only fans are women and children, except that's not the aim of Batista at all, which shows how much he's failing. Things like how he rolled under the rope for about 10 minutes at the Royal Rumble, how he ''dominates'' someone like MVP who's still on the rise and is fully capable of a world title run so long as he continues to elevate up the card and how he put no passion into his WM match with Umaga and still won with a really pathetic powerbomb. Not to mention having no mic skills at all, even Umaga is far better on the mic and he's only held a microphone to his lips once from what I remember. Are we supposed to cheer for him whenever he powerbombed Snitsky onto a chair? It's just getting angry and we see steal chairs every day in pro wrestling. Batista is always described as being intense, but he shows no passion in his work just unnecassary, fake anger.

This one is easy, I will chose Batista in a landslide. Its not that hard, when is the last time Khali put on a good match, how about never. Khali is too big to wrestle and the idea of him wrestling is pointless because he would pretty much kill anybody he faces. When Khali wrestles you get one of two things, he wins in 10 seconds or he loses a horrible match, thats about it.

Batista on the otherhand is one of the top stars in the business and receives too much criticism. Batista put on what I would consider the best match against Undertaker at Wrestlemania 23, something that Khali could never do. Anybody who can steal the show at any Mania' should be considered one of the top current stars int he business, Khali on the other hand put on a stinker at Mania' 23 in a match vs. Kane. Batista is far and about better than Khali and there really is no argument the other way except for saying that the fact that Khali is so huge, but he isn't dominant enough to be considered a monster anymore, any big match he is in he loses.

Based on all of that, it is obvious that Batista is way better, at least he has the potential to put on a great match and actually wins from time to time.

Khali is there for entertainment purposes, him defeating a guy with one swipe is his thing. He is not supposed to have a lot of moves because the idea is that he is suppose to be so strong that it only takes like one hit from out of nowhere to take you down. It's suppose to be his character. Which if you like getting into characters to further enjoy the show then you might just be entertained by him. I don't dwell on him not doing a lot of moves because he is not supposed to. It's who he is. And he is the only one who does this so I don't see what the problem is. His matches aren't that long, I think it's cool that he can destroy a guy with one swipe in terms of entertainment value. And it doesn’t last that long, it’s a quick shot in the arm of entertainment real fast and doesn’t last long. So I don’t know why people are dwelling on it. Although I am not a fan of his, not because of his number of move sets but because I don't like his character. And that is the whole point as to why the wwe has him, is for people to hate his character. And a lot of people do. So I’m not just some nut.

I have said this on 20 different forums, comments like this just blatently show how racist some wrestling fans are. TBH only reason vince brings in asians/indians/arabs in the ring is for his america vs. the eastern world racist angle so "get off ma property maa" type of americans can chant usa for heat.

I agree, khali's average, but the type of comments I read here further more prove my point and many others non-american wrestling fans I meet in forums or at events.

Back to the topic, Batista has to be my pick. Lets remember that WWE actually dictate a lot, how wrestlers work their match and the moves they use. If you look back through Batistas old matches, even to before he became the Batista character, he has a hell of a lot more in his locker than he is currently using. Batista is one of the better "big/power" guys we've had. I would say the WWE are responsible for holding him down to play the role he is at the moment.

Besides, I couldn't possibly vote for Khali, we all know he is a secret Taliban militant, sent to go undercover in the WWE to help plot the "next 9/11..."

Anyway, here is waht I think.

Khali - The great Khali while a huge huge star in india, bores the hell out of me. Sure, he brings in a new audience, but by the criteria I am going on in this thread. That means nothing without mic skills, and ability to entertain me. I also don't think he would be a bigger draw either even though he brings in India.

Batista - Batista is better on the mic, although still not fantastic. (well to be fair Khali is not ment to speak english so I can't rate that.) He has more entertaining matches as well. I actually think he would be a bigger draw because he, even now is a huge draw.

Batista just generally entertains me more as well. So I chose Batista..... but clicked Khali, so its al wrong anyway lol.

id have to sy batista only becouse he is more entertaining and compared to the great khali he can wrestle. whenever someone is wrestling the great khali it looks to awkward and nasty he is way to big to make a small person wrestle him and look good,where batista can wrestle smaller guys and make it look real.

I still stand by my choice for Khali. Batista's nothing special. YEah, he's a big muscular guy. So what? The likes of lashley and co shows that it's not hard to get a good muscular figure. He's just one of a host of big guys.
Khali's 7 foot and has a big physique. He can lend himself to so much more, despite not being great in the ring. He's just a big scary-ass dude, and that's pretty hard to replace.

They are attempting to use The Great Khali in the way they used Andre but the problem is Andre was one of a kind. The Great Khali actually needs to be formally trained as I doubt he ever really was. The Great Khali will always be an attraction but one that can never put on a decent match.

Batista has actually grown on me. No he's not the greatest wrestler on the roster but has the ability to put on some great matches. I don't believe anybody should be comparing Batista to Goldberg as Goldberg was ALWAYS green while Batista has got past that stage. He's extremely over with fans, great on the stick and better in the ring than most give him credit for. The majority of my favourite wrestlers are absolutely technically sound in that ring but it's not right to compare Batista with the all time greats...we should remember that while we judge current wrestlers.

Lets just put it this way:If I had to choose between an best of the opera or best of the Great Khali DVD,I would choose opera.Khali is a big useless oaf who does not deserve to wrestle.And don't call me racist b/c I liked Muhammad Hassan and Sabu.But Khali sucks like three horny ****.I would pick Batista cuz I can actually sit through a match with Big Davey Boy Dud wrestling.But he sucks to.But he is better than Khali.
