Part of me wants to say something about the lack of respect shown concerning Owen Hart. Part of me thinks "Many of the ones who post BS here, are hardly worth trying to reach...since they're in their mama's basement eating cereal at 2pm watching SummerSlam 2003 and setting their fantasy wrestling lineups before RAW." Then there's the part of me who wants to call attention to the hypocritical fools all over these boards. So here I go...

Whenever an article (term used extremely lightly since we're on this site) about Owen Hart is posted, I see people curse and insult and ridicule Martha Hart. For those who don't know, or for those who classlessly don't care, Martha Hart is Owen's widow and lost her life companion and her children's father due to an ill-conceived wrestling stunt. He agreed, he was skeptical, he wanted to, he didn't want to. I, and you--though you all act like you were there--don't know what really happened. But, the fact is he is gone and his family is without him.

So, where does the hypocricy come in? It's when you pieces of shit---the same pieces of shit who spit on the HOF because of reasons like Koko, Carey, Bruno, etc.---go after this woman because she is preventing him from being "honored and celebrated" by being into the same HOF you idiots don't respect.

I never will respect those wrestling fans who think they know what is best and Martha--THE WIDOW--doesn't. You insignificant mullet-having, favorite -wrestler-tshirt wearing, "What?" chanting, wastes of space think you deserve to have him in YOUR HOF and she has no right to do what she feels is right? You are patetic.

BUT, (heartless losers aside) just for a general rule, pick a side on the HOF issue and stick with it. Either it's a joke or it isn't.

Well said, I know it's hard to keep my faith in there being sensible fans on these forums, but every now and then I luck out and find one. HeenanGorilla, you are an example of this.

This is my stance on the whole Owen Hart/WWE Hall Of Fame issue, personally speaking I want him in. I mean his matches with Bret Hart alone make him worthy of that distinction, the fact that he was a member one of of wrestling's greatest families also gives him merit to be included, when you consider that he and Bret were two of the best products of the Hart Family. With that said though, despite the fact that fan demand does hold a place in wrestling's decision making. I am going to have to acquiesce and say that for a matter like this one, it's out of place for me to berate, insult or ridicule Martha Hart for her personal wishes.

When you chalk up the circumstances of Owen's unfortunate and unnecessary passing, I am not going to have the nerve even on a public forum to have such a boorish and stupid opinion about Martha Hart's animus with the former World Wrestling Federation. She has obvious reasons and a good amount of justification to feel the way she does about this matter. Those who want to spout off and get on a high horse about Martha's hostility towards "that great big organization up North" should really learn to shut the fuck up, since most can never present a good argument about this matter. I know some posters here and on other parts of the internet are just trolls looking to get a rise out of the IWC, but I do believe in my heart that some people really are just assholes that play the role of armchair expert on matters like this.

As I pointed out in bold from the text I quoted in HeenanGorilla's original post, none of us were there, PERIOD. Who really knows the WHOLE story, either way I think it's a senseless tragedy and I really wish there was something else they could have done for Owen at that stage of his career. The Blue Blazer was ridiculous in 1989 and ten years later it was no better, nothing was more disappointing than turning on the TV the next morning after Owen's death and seeing that most of the media outlets used stock photos of him as The Blue Blazer instead of in his more over incarnation as just Owen Hart, with of course the monikers of The Black Hart, The Rocket, or the King Of Harts. Sadly, I understand why the media would sensationalize things with the Blue Blazer persona, since that was the outfit he of course died in and he wasn't a name on the same level as stars like Hogan, Austin or The Rock. Therefore most media outlets were either too lazy, ignorant or a combination of both to better represent this tragic event in the news, after all I am sure many in the media thought that it would get more attention if they highlighted the fact that Owen Hart died in a glorified Halloween costume, instead of emphasizing that his death was the result of a tragic and unneeded accident. But just the same there was a man underneath that stupid character and the night his tragic death occurred, wrestling lost an individual who I think still had more to contribute even beyond an active career in wrestling.

The whole matter of the WWF bringing back that persona left a less than flattering conception about those that had no idea who Owen Hart was when this story of his death broke out. Therefore, I can't and won't make any derogatory postings about Martha Hart's decisions regarding her anti-WWE sentiments, and that's a very hard thing to do considering my personal desire to see Owen Hart be part of the WWE Legends brand, but this is not my family member and this is not my business. Owen can't speak for himself, and whether we like it or not, his wife has that right to do so. Who's to really know how Owen would feel, were he alive today? We've seen several legends have falling outs with Vince over the years, some have remained on animus terms and others have worked things out.

One thing we should take away from this is that maybe one day Martha Hart will come to terms with WWE and let bygones be bygones, but to you ignoramuses that critcize her stance, guess what? It's her decision to make and not yours.

Now that you've gotten the rants out, this thread is going to the Trash, because you clearly don't understand how to read the rules of the forum you're posting in.
