Orton's comments on radio show...

I loved the interview for 1 BIG Reason.

Christian's Chances of being world champ in a few weeks is up. Orton is a idiot who is average at best in the ring. Horrible on the mic and has had a silver spoon in his mouth. The guy is only in wwe because of his father. Who i might add wasn't much either. Orton is also the reason Ken Anderson got fired. Way better talent and hasn't injured anybody in TNA and has only be injured once not his fault. Also look at Poor Kofi.

Great. Here comes the Orton hate bandwagon...

First, I love how the IWC glorifies someone one second and bitches about it when they actually get it. Like BIGJUICYNIPPLES (lol) said, Orton was the next Stone Cold about a year ago and now he's shit. Make up your minds.

Second, get over the Kennedy crap. Everyone conveniently forgets that Kennedy had a reputation of being an unsafe worker before Orton said anything AND failed a drug test right after making the media rounds about how he was drug free during the huge McMahon son storyline... and leaving a giant egg on the face of the company during one of its toughest times, (the Benoit murders.) Besides, both Kennedy and Orton have said that Orton went up to Kennedy and talked to him right before talking to McMahon, so it wasn't like it was completely behind his back. I guess he should wait until he gets his neck broken before he speaks up.

And all of the Kofi stuff is just speculation. Neither has commented on it but let's all accept it as truth when it goes against a wrestler we hate, right? If Orton had that much power, why did Miz get his push despite Orton having a supposed tantrum against him too?

And lastly, about the interview, you all are acting like he stood up and said, "By the way, Kelly is a ****e and Mark can't wrestle." He was baited into the Kelly stuff and was asked about Rock, Mark and Cena. What did you want him to do? Lie? Or give a boring Kayfabe interview where he would come off as a company yes man? I appreciated his honesty, although I do think he went too far with the Kelly stuff, even though he was baited into it. He didn't say anything that was untrue about The Rock, and if you don't like his opinions, don't listen to an interview where people are asking him his opinions!

But that shouldn't be a problem. From some of the responses here, I doubt most of you could hold in your Orton hate long enough to actually listen to it. -_-

I don't like Orton bu I liked that interview, it was funny.

As for people who say he was "throwing" Cena under the bus then my reply is : surely you jest
Yes, he said that Cena isn't the best in ring competitor, everyone knows that, John knows that, so what was he supposed to do? Lie and put him over as the best over just 'cause they're friends? Well, actually he did that when he said Cena's light years ahead of any of them on the mic, even Rock. That was putting him over 'cause we all know Cena's no Rock but it is true that he's great on the mic...it's the material some don't like but his delivery is flawless.
With Khali, everyone knows he's the worst in the ring. All of the wrestle-um, superstars who've worked with him have said that he's the worst.
Kelly Kelly being a **** is well know and he didn't really give out names and stuff.
The only one who got the short end of the straw was Mark Henry, who, again, we all know he's not quite good in the ring but it was still kinda dickish to say that about him and not say he has any redeeming qualities.

oh and as for Rock, most of the boys in the locker room don't like him and his "return". Maybe he's just jealous 'cause no matter what Rock is going to be one of the best ever, Top 5 material and he's just another (big) name that comes and goes.
Though he is right about some things he said about the Rock(not that Cena's better on the mic of course)

Randy has posted an apology to Kelly on twitter even saying trash him just drop the subject out of respect to Kelly
But even he knew he got out line they were wrong simple as that he's making up for them well the Kelly ones by publicly apOlogizing to her
The Christian ones were wrong as well(he should apologize to Christian by dropping the title to him MITB I can hope right)

Great interview. I laughed pretty much the whole way through. I don't believe he said anything overly controversial, but he may want to be careful in the future. Everything he said was pretty much what everybody else is already saying... with the exception of Cena being better on the mic than Rocky. It was a normal guy giving a normal interview... filled with plenty of jokes and out-of-the-ring stories. Every person he "criticized" also got some praise for him. Nobody's perfect, and he's just willing to share his opinion about both the good and not-so-good in people. Besides, he admitted to shitting himself towards the end of the interview, so even if he debased Kelly Kelly or The Rock, he did the same towards himself.

What a pathetic statement? Did the WHOLE ICW state Orton was going to be the next Stone Cold? I am sure there are still soem delusional folk who think he will be but you cant come on here and assume everyone had the same opinion.

Oh, I'm sorry. I thought it went without saying that not every single person on the site had the exact same opinion. Anyone who's been on this site for more than a year know how many of the users were drooling over Orton. But since you want to pinpoint the slight section of my post that was inaccurate instead of the core of my fairly large post while calling the whole thing pathetic... I'm guessing you had nothing of substance to refute my points. Spam is looked down upon around here.

Let's try this again. "many" of the IWC called him the next Stone Cold. That doesn't change the rest of my post, does it?

As far as Christian, he called him a pusscake, but I didn't think he was being serious. He mentioned many times that Christian was his opponent that night. He came off as trash talking Christian, his kayfabe opponent, not the man Jay Reso. He's put over Christian many times in the past, I don't know why that would change now, especially since their matches have been so good together.

well people found it funny..I myself laughed..doesn`t make it anything else but stupid tho.
Playing the honest card always leads to isolation, for someone who claim to be a locker room reader, he seems nothing like it ...handling backstage politics is an actual quality required to be a locker room leader. During the whole interview, it was obvious he was running his mouth and was saying stuff that he would regret the moment he stepped out of the show. Even tho general public will always find funny, bringing personal life of a colleague in public is a lame thing to do and shows a total lack of class. But whatever tho, the whole thing will blow over and he`ll probably learn from this.

regardless of his apology, Orton repetitively demeaned Kelly Kelly . Who knows if it s true, If its not, then its a terrible thing to call her on and stuff like that demeans the hard work other Divas do in that division as they always struggle for their spot in the show.

I understand most of the stuff was done in humor, but it was uncalled for. When the guys were talking the method acting thing ( code for "I wanna do kelly kelly " ) he should've let them continue to ramble, yuck it up and move on, not
jump in and say " y'know....."

Was it entertaining? Yes. Not in the "haha, these guys are hilarious" kind of way. Becuase they weren't. I found them really unfunny and rather offensive, actually. But it was entertaining to hear a huge star like Randy Orton being so open. But as entertaining as it was, it was wholly unprofessional. Orton is the World Heavyweight Champion, and the #2 face in WWE. A PG WWE. He can't go on a (what I presume) high-profile radio show and talk about the promiscuity and relationships of a co-worker.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Orton fan. I just feel that his behaviour was wrong and not becoming of someone in such a high-profile position.

How does the rock getting his stuff written and cena not make cena better than the rock? Anyone can get their stuff written, but it takes charisma and entertainment to pull it off the way The Rock does. You could give any other superstar the rock's script and they still won't pull it off like he does. So saying the rock has his stuff written is just showing how good he is.

Regardless of whether or not Kelly has had multiple relationships with other wrestlers, there is something called being a gentleman. Call me old fashioned, but publicly discussing a lady's affairs is something a totally classless guy would do. He was the one who drew first blood in the interview, and the hosts ran with it, pushed it further, and so did he. Going on there and saying "Punk has banged every woman in the industry" is enough of an unprofessional jab, but there is a civility thing when girls are the people in question.

If he wanted to get a shot in, which is dickish enough, it should have been followed with, "No, seriously, she's a really sweet girl. Anyway..." He didn't cover his own ass, or hers, and for all we know, his "apology" could have been forced. Public figures are often forced by their employers or agents to issue apologetic statements after they say or do something stupid. It wouldn't surprise me if Vince/HHH/whomever had to step in. Speculation, but possible.

Let's not forget that Kelly just won the Divas title and has been on a recent push as the female face of the kid-friendly marketing. She did the exhibitionist thing in the past, but look at every WWE Superstar collage and she's often the only Diva featured. A face Divas Champion is supposed to be the standard to which girls strive, according to WWE, and having the #2 guy publicly declare her to be a **** puts her career and credibility at risk, as well as WWE marketing. Granted, not everyone listened to the interview, but word spreads through dirt sheets, forums and word of mouth. A relative of mine worked for WWF back in the day, and finding out about what guys were like in "real life" greatly affected whom I rooted for. I don't think there will be major backlash for Kelly, but I wouldn't be surprised if some people didn't support her as much as they might have before.

Being critical of his opponent at an upcoming PPV is one thing (I still don't agree with what he said, but the possibility of loose kayfabe gives an argument for it); however, he threw Henry, Khali and Kelly under the bus as well, in addition to slagging off someone who is scheduled well in advance to main event the biggest PPV of the year and is being looked to as a significant draw for tickets, PPV buys and merchandise sales. Hopefully Orton gets a sit-down and someone drives the point home that he doesn't have the right to run his mouth to such a degree.

I loved that interview. He is, much like myself, pretty blunt and gets straight to the point plus he's not doing any of that stupid "in character" garbage WWE wants it's workers to do, whether they are on twitter or if they are having sex. I honestly don't get why everybody is so mad that he answered a question about how many guys Kelly Kelly has fucked. He answered a question and it's not like he went all out and said "that bitch has fucked at least ten people I could easily name right now". Besides that, I'm pretty sure when you have conversation with people of your own gender, you get carried away and start making jokes and comments that might hurt other's feelings. Him dissing The Rock hit hard, though. That teleprompter thing is just HARSH! So hilarious specially when The Rock is always bigged up for his mic skills.

All in all, it was an excellent interview and I really wish I could have half an hour or something like that to kick it with Orton. He seems like such a cool guy and I even find myself having a lot in common with him. The fact that he said video games need more violence alone makes him awesome. To hell with all these preteen girls crying about their "idol" in disguise being exposed in regards to how many co-workers she's gotten in bed with.

P.S. Despite all the controversy that can possibly follow, I'm glad Orton was being himself. All this politeness, gentleman bullshit needs to die and the more people who break that "rule", the better society gets.

this interview proved 2 things.

1. orton is dislusional for thinking cena is light years ahead everyone including the rock on the mic :lmao:

2. he proved he would "sellout" like the rock did for 10million dollars to wear a tootoo in a movie !!!!

orton is a backstage diva like hbk and hhh and seems jealous of anybody better than him. and the only reason hes the youngest champ is cause of BROCK LESNAR fake paper champ!! you get no credit from me...

Orton wont get in trouble for this due to his position in the company. Cena at his right hand, Smackdown in the palm of his hand, I dont think WWE would want to piss off the guy they just sacrificed Christian's heavyweight title run for. He didnt really say anything that could turn heads except the Kelly Kelly thing and the Rock incident. I honestly believe the KK stuff was uncalled for, just because shes been involved with some guys backstage and had a serious relationship with them it doesnt make her a ****. He should've saved those jokes for someone like Melina. The incident with Rock really speaks volumes about the guy WWE wants to paint as perfect. I have to agree with Orton, The Rock went out of line for calling the WWE Offices because Orton spoke his mind. Its not like Orton lied, I just think Rock and certain other individuals refuse to see the truth about the "most electrifying superstar". If Orton was just working it since his friendship with Cena has gone televised, then WWE is doing some seriously realistic works as of late. As far as his comments about Cena, I think everyone knows that Cena is far from the character he plays on TV. Its not like Orton's comments hurt the kids's image of Cena, since its very unlikely that they listened to the interview. Other than that the interview was very entertaining and painted a much more realistic picture of Orton than ever before seen. People seem to give Orton such a hard time but I hope that this interview as well as his very candid DVD helps people see the more human side of Randy.

Hmm I'm going to go ahead and post here and revive this thread after seeing he's under heat...

I dunno, I don't see anything wrong with the interview. I also don't see anything wrong with sleeping with 10 guys as long as you're not in a relationship. Clearly if the first we're hearing of it is from Randy Orton, is not a big deal.

I don't think this interview has ruined anyone's image for me. I still love the Rock over Cena, teleprompter or no teleprompter (it still takes quality skill to read off a teleprompter with that much hype and not stutter or over step words) I still think Kelly is hot, and I would tap that, and I still love Randy as my favorite wrestler, and as a seemingly down to earth person who can be a realist, and for the most part leads a private lifestyle, so its nice to see him be himself (although its questionable how out of character he really is because I think he might be cold in real life as he is on TV and that's okay too)

you wanna know who else doesnt write there own stuff lady gaga, britney spears, dr.dre, j-lo, all platinum artist and 90% of all actors on tv dont write there own stuff hahaha ...what a douchebag orton is.. I can clearly see orton writes his own stuff cuz its a snooze fest whenever he talks!!!!!! You can tell ortons one of those wrestlers that will hold other wrestlers down and gets jealous when a MUCH BIGGER STAR like the rock comes n "takes his job" he held kofi back and mr.anderson.. ortons a backstage DIVA !!!!!!!
