Duke Nukem Forever got announced. Or, given my experiences in these forums, I will dub the game "The Norcal Story"

Comes out in 2011, and is being made by Gearbox and distributed by 2K. Apparently, 2K got the distributing rights for the IP.

Actually thats the trailer that 3DRealms made before it disbanded. They've been overhauling it since 2009. Gearbox are the guys that brought us fuckin' Borderlands.

To be fair to over the top films, if you do it right, it becomes a fun popcorn film. It needs to translate the humor that Nukem has in the games and not make it too much of a quote spouting guy. Right now, who I'm seeing that's capable of bringing the games to film in script form is the dudes who write Zombieland and are writing Deadpool.

And if Tarantino don't direct, I fuckin' RIOT.

Yes Over the top films CAN be good, I dont think they are all bad, but more times than not they arent. Zombieland was a perfect example of a good one, and Deadpool HAS to be over the top.

I wonder who would play Nukem. Imagine Vin Diesel wearing a wig like that lol

I made a Gieco Commercial once. Someone was trying to disarm a bomb and asked which wire he needed to cut, people were saying the colors then all of a sudden some random Indian guy shows up on the screen ad says "I JUST SAVED A BUNCH OF MONEY ON MY CAR INSURANCE BY SWITCHING TO GIECO!!!"

The guy says "What?"

Then the bomb exploded.

Writing is fun. If our Pepsi commercial could have been a minute, everything would have been even better. I like it now though. Writing is a good tool to have. Creativity is great.
