[On The Air]: Official CH David Thread

Holy shit, I'm giddy. Just saw my standings, and...I'm in Alpha.

Me vs. Tenta in week four, not to mention Disarray, Coco, JMT and Ty. I'm really excited for this league.

Mistah Steve, I'm comin' for YOU!

Jesus.

Christ!

The ChiSox got rather shafted in the trades, right? Kind of hoping Jackson can make it work, and Kenny Williams gets a meager pat on the back for trying.

They were aiming for Adam Dunn, but unfortunately I doubt it will happen. Jackson can be a decent fall back in the rotation if he returns to his 2009 form when he was with the Tiggers.

I doubt it too. They need bats, man. Sucks that they couldn't make any splash happen.

Damn it, they're tied with Minn.

An extra bat would be great, but it isn't 100% essential in my mind. If they could land a Dunn or another left handed bat who is smart, more power to them, but I like what they have right now.

.5 game up. But those damn Twinkies will never go away.

True, but extra bats don't hurt. And yeah, the Twins are stubborn.

Yeah, I'm surprised the Sox didn't go and pull out all the stops for Dunn. Apparently the Nats wanted more once you guys got Jackson. I'm surprised they didn't do it.

And I think I also heard at one point you guys were looking at Berkman, but he refused to go, and he ultimately came to New Yawk.

So far in Chicago I've been yelling "DAVID!" at every person with a wrestling shirt on. No luck

Nats wanted Gordon Beckham in the deal. You are out of your fucking mind if you are going to trade the future of your franchise for someone who may not stay.

I'm in the burbs, Leafy. Although you missed me in my CM Punk shirt yesterday.

I was unaware the Nats wanted someone of Beckham's caliber in said deal. I figured it was a minor league esque guy.

It makes sense on the Nats part to ask for a shitload, because they feel they can do really good with the 2 picks they will ultimately get for him as compensation when he goes elsewhere.

If it were a current minor leaguer, I likely would have said go for it. But never not when it comes to Beckham, or Viciedo for that matter. Beckham is the cornerstone, and Viciedo is just fun to watch hit.

I'm not surprised at the Nasty Nats for asking for him, all trade talks have been trying to ask for Beckham.
