and what I was saying was that Swisher was never a good defensive player. You made it sound like he should be able to do something that isn't required of a corner outfielder. And by mentioning Ichiro, you did compare the 2 of them.

If he isn't a good defensive player then he should be DHing or at 1st. Oh wait, those spots were taken by Konerko, Kotsay (at the trade deadline) and Thome, nevermind. I said he should deal with being moved there, whether he was comfortable or not. He can hate it all he wanted, so long as he went out and played his hardest.

You're right. Swisher isn't near the player Ichiro is. Never said he was. Ichiro is one of the best defensive outfielder in the game today. Swisher isn't, but he's a serviceable corner outfielder.
